I would like to express my deepest and most heartfelt thanks to every member of your team for the care, compassion, and kindness you showed to my mother-in-law during her time with you.

From the very beginning, it was clear that she was surrounded by people who genuinely cared about her wellbeing. Your patience, warmth, and dedication meant so much not only to her but also to our entire family. Knowing she was in such capable and caring hands gave us great comfort and reassurance.

The respect and dignity you showed her every day did not go unnoticed. Whether it was the small moments of kindness, the friendly conversations, or the attentive care you provided, each act made a meaningful difference in her life and in ours.

Please accept our sincere gratitude for the love, support, and professionalism you showed throughout her time with you. Your work is truly special, and we will always be thankful for the compassion you showed to someone so dear to us.

With heartfelt appreciation,

I visited several homes before deciding on Alton Manor as soon as I entered it felt really homely. My dad has now been a resident for 6 weeks and hes so happy I was worried he'd just be sat in a corner but I was so wrong they have daily activities which residents are encouraged to participate in. The staff are always available to answer questions and the care and respect they give my dad is so heart warming. I would not hesitate to recommend Alton Manor.

My mum was a resident in Alton Manor Care Home. During Mum's time there she was very well cared for. When I first visited Manor Care Home, I know straight away that we would be happy for Mum to go there. Every members of staff cared for Mum - emotionally, physically ad compassionately. They found time to dance with Mum even though they were always busy. This meant so much to us as Mum loved to dance.

For a team of carers to go to the lengths they do to ensure Mum was happy - a big thank you to you all.

My Mother has been at Alton Manor for 4 years. I can say that l have seen a massive improvement in the home since the new manager has started, we have had consistent staff that my Mum and our family have got to know really well. Nothing is too much trouble and my Mum is really happy here. I have a link to my Mums care plan so l can see regular health checks, BP, weight and other observations also photos of activities she has joined in on. My Mum recently had a fall in the night, luckily the carers check on her in the night and were able to get her up off the floor they checked her obs and called the paramedics to check her over, they called me and informed me of this and updated me with how she was doing, they always make contact with me with any concerns or if my Mum has a particular worry. My Mum thinks of the carers as family and is particularly fond of the chef. We as a family are very happy with the care my Mum receives here.

Mum's been at Alton Manor for 18 months now. All staff are very professional and very friendly. They treat mum with respect and with empathy. They have spent many hours reassuring and comforting mum in her most distressed and anxious moments. The Home is always welcoming and take care of me after a tricky visit. We have regular meetings/updates as well as the residents.Cleaning and laundry staff do a fab too.The chef does an amazing job and will offer mum a little something off menu if mum is feeling low. All area is clean and fresh looking. Bedrooms are very clean and always clean sheets on mums bed. Mum has clean clothes everyday and she loves the hairdresser coming. Issues are addressed very quickly and feedback given. There's music on and activities for residents to join in.The activity coordinator does a brilliant job finding fun and interesting things to do.Administration staff keep relatives up to date too :) The Manager very approachable and friendly. Well done team.

The first time I walked in Alton Manor to scope it out, there was (and is) an amazing vibrancy to the home and I knew it would be the right place for my sister.

She has been there for several weeks and I can now stop being her carer and go back to being her sister. This has only been possible due to the amazing staff who have supported both my sister and me in this transition.

I visit every day and have done so for many months now. I have been very impressed with the manager who is very attentive and super quick to action any feedback or requests. If I am ever in a care home Alton Manor would be just the job. The home has been most accommodating to requests. My friend requests some special food, which I bring and the staff cook especially for her. The garden is very pleasant. The rooms are tidy and a good size. The staff contact me if there are any issues. There are plenty of activities on offer daily. All in all very impressed.

I'm writing to express my deepest gratitude to the entire team at Alton Manor Care Home. During a very difficult time for our family, you provided our mum with exceptional care and compassion in the lead-up to her passing on 20th June.
The kindness and dedication of the staff has been truly remarkable. You all treated Mum with the utmost dignity and respect, ensuring her comfort and well-being were always a priority. Your attentiveness and gentle touch made a world of difference for her and for us as a family.
We are eternally grateful for the support you offered our family during this emotional time. You made a very difficult situation more bearable, and we will never forget your kindness. Alton Manor Care Home is a true haven of care and compassion, and I would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking a home for their loved ones in need of exceptional care.

Thank you Alton Manor Care Home.

First impressions on entering the home, the staff were very friendly and all spoke with compassion and cared about their residents. Whenever I have asked questions, I have always been given answers. Staff will go above and beyond for residents and family. They have a lot of activities that my mum has enjoyed and is happy to participate with these, could not ask for any more from a care home. They have regular hair and beauty come into the home which my mum has enjoyed as she likes a pamper.
All residents seem happy and content. Mum tends to get confused but the staff are patient and explain everything simply for her so that she understands the situation.

Home is always clean considering the age of the building.

After several falls at home and a spell in hospital, a place was found for Mum in Alton Manor Care Home in September. This was a hard decision for Mum as she has always been very independent but as she was now one hundred years old her safety and happiness were our top priority. It took Mum a little while to settle in but thanks to the caring staff she soon made friends and joined in.
The bedroom she has is warm and cosy and she can have her privacy whenever she wants but she spends more time downstairs in the lounge with her new friends.
Mum is very lucky to have lots of family that like to visit her this has never been a problem as the home welcomes all visitors.
Since Mum has been a resident she has had regular visits from nurses, hairdressers and chiropodists.

As a family, we are very grateful for the care and understanding that has been shown to our mum. We now can now rest easy in the knowledge that Mum is safe and well looked after by amazing staff.

Whenever I visit everyone is friendly. The care home is clean. The best thing was taking away the carpets downstairs and replacing them with Lino, much cleaner and easy to clean.
The bedroom is a nice size and kept warm.

With the new manager, we get offered a drink, before we were not.

Mum became a resident at Alton Manor at short notice. The procedure was very quick, informative and reassuring. From the first visit, we felt straight away it was welcoming, and friendly and offered a cosy and safe environment and has continued to do so. The staff have been amazing and along with the manager have been reassuring. We feel our mum is receiving the best care from all the staff and is being looked after very well. When you leave your parent in the care of others, you hope and wish they will be looked after the same way as you have done for them. This is very much the case at Alton Manor. Mum has settled in quickly and well. The overall experience has been very positive and we have felt very well supported during this difficult time. Thank you to the manager and her staff.

My mum came into Alton Manor 4 weeks ago and I must say her care has been wonderful, the staff are so kind and caring and have made us as a family feel so confident that Mum is getting excellent care. The facilities are always clean and very well organised and have kept us up to date with all aspects of Mum's care, also Mum was very withdrawn at first but now seems to be settled and starting to join in a few activities as her behaviour sometimes can be challenging but all in all very happy with Alton Manor Care Home.
