My mum was a resident in Alton Manor Care Home. During Mum's time there she was very well cared for. When I first visited Manor Care Home, I know straight away that we would be happy for Mum to go there. Every members of staff cared for Mum - emotionally, physically ad compassionately. They found time
to dance with Mum even though they were always busy. This meant so much to us as Mum loved to dance.
For a team of carers to go to the lengths they do to ensure Mum was happy - a big thank you to you all.

My Mother has been at Alton Manor for 4 years. I can say that l have seen a massive improvement in the home since the new manager has started, we have had consistent staff that my Mum and our family have got to know really well. Nothing is too much trouble and my Mum is really happy here. I have a link
to my Mums care plan so l can see regular health checks, BP, weight and other observations also photos of activities she has joined in on. My Mum recently had a fall in the night, luckily the carers check on her in the night and were able to get her up off the floor they checked her obs and called the paramedics to check her over, they called me and informed me of this and updated me with how she was doing, they always make contact with me with any concerns or if my Mum has a particular worry. My Mum thinks of the carers as family and is particularly fond of the chef. We as a family are very happy with the care my Mum receives here.

Mum's been at Alton Manor for 18 months now. All staff are very professional and very friendly. They treat mum with respect and with empathy. They have spent many hours reassuring and comforting mum in her most distressed and anxious moments. The Home is always welcoming and take care of me after a
tricky visit. We have regular meetings/updates as well as the residents.Cleaning and laundry staff do a fab too.The chef does an amazing job and will offer mum a little something off menu if mum is feeling low. All area is clean and fresh looking. Bedrooms are very clean and always clean sheets on mums bed. Mum has clean clothes everyday and she loves the hairdresser coming. Issues are addressed very quickly and feedback given. There's music on and activities for residents to join in.The activity coordinator does a brilliant job finding fun and interesting things to do.Administration staff keep relatives up to date too :) The Manager very approachable and friendly. Well done team.

Dad moved to Alton Manor at the end of last year which was a big change for him but settled quickly , as a family we are so happy he is well looked after , safe which is peace of mind for us all , he takes part in keep fit and other activities he really enjoys , finding friends and mixing which it's

The first time I walked in Alton Manor to scope it out, there was (and is) an amazing vibrancy to the home and I knew it would be the right place for my sister.
She has been there for several weeks and I can now stop being her carer and go back to being her sister. This has only been possible due
to the amazing staff who have supported both my sister and me in this transition.

I visit every day and have done so for many months now. I have been very impressed with the manager who is very attentive and super quick to action any feedback or requests. If I am ever in a care home Alton Manor would be just the job. The home has been most accommodating to requests. My friend requests
some special food, which I bring and the staff cook especially for her. The garden is very pleasant. The rooms are tidy and a good size. The staff contact me if there are any issues. There are plenty of activities on offer daily. All in all very impressed.

The manager and staff are very lovely and helpful. Clean place food very good. The garden is kept in good condition and tidy. Now I know my mum is well looked after, I can have quality of life and can visit mum as a daughter, not a carer.

First impressions on entering the home, the staff were very friendly and all spoke with compassion and cared about their residents. Whenever I have asked questions, I have always been given answers. Staff will go above and beyond for residents and family. They have a lot of activities that my mum has
enjoyed and is happy to participate with these, could not ask for any more from a care home. They have regular hair and beauty come into the home which my mum has enjoyed as she likes a pamper.
All residents seem happy and content. Mum tends to get confused but the staff are patient and explain everything simply for her so that she understands the situation.
Home is always clean considering the age of the building.

After several falls at home and a spell in hospital, a place was found for Mum in Alton Manor Care Home in September. This was a hard decision for Mum as she has always been very independent but as she was now one hundred years old her safety and happiness were our top priority. It took Mum a little
while to settle in but thanks to the caring staff she soon made friends and joined in.
The bedroom she has is warm and cosy and she can have her privacy whenever she wants but she spends more time downstairs in the lounge with her new friends.
Mum is very lucky to have lots of family that like to visit her this has never been a problem as the home welcomes all visitors.
Since Mum has been a resident she has had regular visits from nurses, hairdressers and chiropodists.
As a family, we are very grateful for the care and understanding that has been shown to our mum. We now can now rest easy in the knowledge that Mum is safe and well looked after by amazing staff.

Whenever I visit everyone is friendly. The care home is clean. The best thing was taking away the carpets downstairs and replacing them with Lino, much cleaner and easy to clean.
The bedroom is a nice size and kept warm.
With the new manager, we get offered a drink, before we were not.

Mum became a resident at Alton Manor at short notice. The procedure was very quick, informative and reassuring. From the first visit, we felt straight away it was welcoming, and friendly and offered a cosy and safe environment and has continued to do so. The staff have been amazing and along with the
manager have been reassuring. We feel our mum is receiving the best care from all the staff and is being looked after very well. When you leave your parent in the care of others, you hope and wish they will be looked after the same way as you have done for them. This is very much the case at Alton Manor. Mum has settled in quickly and well. The overall experience has been very positive and we have felt very well supported during this difficult time. Thank you to the manager and her staff.

My mum came into Alton Manor 4 weeks ago and I must say her care has been wonderful, the staff are so kind and caring and have made us as a family feel so confident that Mum is getting excellent care. The facilities are always clean and very well organised and have kept us up to date with all aspects
of Mum's care, also Mum was very withdrawn at first but now seems to be settled and starting to join in a few activities as her behaviour sometimes can be challenging but all in all very happy with Alton Manor Care Home.

My Nan has recently passed away at Alton Manor Care Home. The Care she has received has been amazing. Every member of staff that I have met whilst she has been there has been very helpful and have put our mind at rest. In the final days of her life they made sure that she was treated with the utmost
dignity and respect, the kindness and compassion that my Nan and the family was shown was amazing. The Manager and the Deputy went out of their way to ensure that staff kept the family up to date with information, which was always clear, concise and honest. On the day of her passing they made sure that family were invited to spend as much time as they could with my Nan and even allowed family members to remain with her till her passing, and after.
I would recommend Alton Manor to anyone looking for care. They are amazing.

My brother recently became a resident of Alton Manor Care Home following serious concerns for his safety at home. As a family, we urgently needed to find a care home with dementia and Alzheimer’s experience that had room for him at extremely short notice. We were so lucky to find that Alton Manor was
able to help. Within half an hour of speaking to the Manager, we took our brother to meet with her and then to our relief and good fortune, she had a room for him that day. From the moment I stepped inside it was obvious that the manager’s warmth, enthusiasm and caring nature were reflected throughout the home. I have found all of the staff, irrespective of their role, to be friendly and, more importantly, extremely caring. My brother’s transition has not been at all smooth but the staff have persevered to ensure he has become both safe and settled. Alton Manor is a lively, happy care home which raises the spirits and I’m so pleased that my brother is with them.

I feel that Alton Manor Care Home has made real improvements since the new manager has been in place. I visit my Nan two or three times a week and she is always happy in her surroundings and tells me the care staff are like her family too. When visiting you are always welcomed with a smile by the staff
and they are willing to answer questions or help in any way needed. They ensure my Nan is well hydrated and cater to her needs with her meals. The home provides events where family members can attend for example garden parties and Mother’s day gatherings. The staff have also supported my nan through the loss of her husband. As a family, we feel very happy with Alton Manor and the care they provide and happy my Nan is safe and looked after.
