Burnlea Nursing Home offers a total of 34 bedrooms, ALL single and ensuite. Each of the rooms are tastefully decorated and refurbished regularly. There is a TV point in each room, and phone points can be organised if required. Wi-Fi is available throughout the home.

Residents are welcome to bring some of their own furniture, and are encouraged to bring photographs, ornaments and personal items to truly make their room feel like home.

In addition to the comfort of their room, the excellent lounge and dining areas are delightful to relax in, and the dining room is the perfect place to enjoy home cooked, healthy and nutritious meals and home baking. The dining room has also been known to house private parties for residents for up to 40 guests such as special birthdays or anniversaries. There is also Burns Bistro, where relatives and guests can enjoy afternoon tea.

There are private lounge facilities on each floor which can be used for birthday parties or family/friend events.

Some of the rooms have welcoming views of the wonderful Ayrshire Coastline, the gardens or the local countryside.

I would like to say we are most happy with the care our Mum has received since coming into Burnlea up to now. I love the family feel and getting to know you all. You are all so kind and spend time getting to know Mum and us all.
The food is lovely and she enjoys it with plenty of 'hot tea'. As an
Irish lady she loves so much tea. It's so kind when we get offered tea, cakes and meals also, which makes Mum happy that we are sharing this with her. I feel she has a better quality of life with you and feel reassured due to recent falls within her home, where she was hospitalised.

I cannot praise Burnlea highly enough. It is an absolute pleasure visiting my father, who is being so well cared for. The manager is so proactive and forward-thinking, always looking for ways to provide even better care. The nursing and care staff are kind and compassionate, and really know my dad as
an individual. Today he was presented with a home-made birthday cake in his favourite colour. The entertainment provided is great fun and varied; communication is excellent, with regular e-mails, events and the fantastic social media page. The staff at Burnlea treat my father, who has dementia, with such kindness, compassion and respect, and I have absolute trust in them to provide him with the best care possible in cheerful, stimulating and spotless surroundings. I am truly grateful that my dad can call Burnlea home.

Poor experience, very disappointed with Care Home Manager. It was clear from onset that any individual with moderate dementia will not be supported to transition from home and be offered a settling in period. If your relative has cognitive decline then please do not consider this care home.
Fortunately
my father has now settled into another care home which offers the skill set and competence which this care home lacks.

Great care from all the staff. Plenty of activities in the home. I have no complaints at all. The staff are helpful, friendly and efficient. They can't do enough. Mum is settled and happy. Excellent.

Burnlea have taken amazing and compassionate care of my elderly mother, her needs are completely taken care of in every respect.
Staff are amazing, patient and so friendly.
So glad I found this home and so glad they had room for my mother.
The home is spotless, and has an amazing cook.

Dad came to Burnlea straight from hospital. We were overjoyed when we heard a room was free for him as, being local, we knew he was about to receive the very best of care.
The first big surprise was when we visited the day after he had been admitted, after languishing in hospital for over 3 months,
and found him in the sitting room looking as if he'd never been in hospital at all. He was fully clothed, washed, shaved, looking a 'million dollars'. What a relief! On looking around all the residents looked really well turned out, there was none of the 'old people stench' I'd experienced when Mum had been in care, the whole place was spotlessly clean and fresh but most of all the staff were all bright eyed and genuinely friendly. It honestly feels like Dad is being looked after by members his own family.
After so many years of looking after my Dad's concerns it's a huge relief not to be worried about his care.
This is an exceptionally well-managed home!

My mum has been a resident at Burnlea since autumn 2023 - I have been really impressed with the standard of care she has received. Mum's care, both in terms of general care and nursing care, has been of a high standard. Prior to entering Burnlea, there was not a day that went by without Mum telling
me about her pain - now she never reports being sore. She has gained much needed weight. She has been very well looked after by a friendly and happy team.

My dad has been in for a couple of years now and has been extremely well looked after, he is delighted to get such great care as are we.
We visit regularly with the kids and we are always welcomed in.
The home are also great at staying in contact and letting us know about everything that is going

I really cannot fault anything about Burnlea. The care is excellent and the general attention to detail is very high.
Even though the main building is old, it is kept in a very good state of repair. I think many of the residents feel very at Home there.

Everytime I visited the care home I received a warm welcome from all the staff. I always found my mum well-presented and clean and tidy. Her room is very clean and tidy too and her toilet and shower area well kept. Mum is pleased to see information kept on her whiteboard in her room and new information
added by family when they visit. Mum has told me she enjoys her meals and the afternoon activities.

Burnlea Care Home has looked after my father, who has dementia, for several months. I am always struck by how caring and thoughtful the staff are to my father and also my mother when she visits. They have helped make a difficult time for my family more bearable.

Eileen has been the manager at Burnlea since August 2022. She is a registered nurse with a vast range of clinical skills, and a huge amount of experience in the Care Home Sector. Eileen has great pride in the home, her staff and the way al her team care for the residents and their families.
