Whilst Ocean Living in Mumbles is a little tired in it's decor - the manager and her staff work tirelessly to provide comfort + understanding to the residents, nothing is too much when the resident or family member make a request - the care home - whilst is not modern - but it is comfortable, clean and functionable - the manager and her staff are friendly and caring. They provide good well cooked food and snacks to residents. The atmosphere is one of calm - which indicate that the residents are happy + contented

Mum's dementia deteriorated and we made the difficult decision to find a care home. Ocean Living is a small home and we feel this makes all the difference. All the staff know all the residents. The staff are always helpful, caring and very chatty with Mum, making her feel 'at home'. They are very welcoming whenever we visit. Mum has been on several trips out which she enjoys at the time but her condition means she can't recall them later. Having visited other care homes we are certain that Ocean Living and their staff was the best decision for care we could have made.

I like being here, good staff, very helpful, friendly and happy. I am well looked after here, my room is excellent, good view of the sea and very spacious. I enjoy my visit to the local pub. The food is very good here, plenty of options. A good shower. We play bingo twice a week, and we win prizes.

The resident in question was a joy to have and enjoyed her six year stay with us making many friends with residents and staff. Teri's journey within the care sector started at the age of 18, when she discovered a love for her role as a Carer. From the outset, she enjoyed working with and offering support to individuals in need. As Teri continued to work within Care Homes, she progressed into more senior positions and completed her QCF Level 5 qualification.
Since becoming a Care Home Manager, Teri has thrived. She has broadened her knowledge and skills by engaging in a number of training programs and qualifications, including the completion of a Care Practices course at university level. Continual development is an important aspect of Teri's role.
Teri is passionate about working with the elderly, ensuring residents' needs come first by adopting a people-centred approach.
