My father was a resident in Beech Manor for 3 years. He received excellent care and when he became poorly he was treated with exceptional dignity. He enjoyed the activities when he first joined Beech Manor, he loved all music events and trips, and even exercise!! He also enjoyed the food, very much - laterly of course he wasn't so bothered as he wasn't well enough. I can't thank the staff enough their care + attention and for being so professional when my father passed away.

My elderly mother is a resident in Beech Manor and has settled well. It is a very bright and spacious home with access to lovely gardens. There is always some kind of activity/entertainment on which my Mum enjoys. There is a good variety of food and snacks. In my experience i feel the staff are very approachable for any concerns/questions i may have regarding my Mum. Mum has a great relationship with the staff which in my opinion is very important. I enjoy family days where we can all get involved. No one wants to put thier family in a care home but i feel at ease with Mum in Beech Manor and would not hesitate to recommend to friends/family.

The staff at Beech Manor are a credit to the care home, they keep the place clean and tidy and are very welcoming to all. We are offered cups off tea, updates on how my mum is, any concerns etc, my mum moved there in March from her own home. She has made new friends and sits with them during meal times. They organise trips out, have a real bar where residents can have a "wee tipple" play dominoes and many other organised activities. The recent summer party / BBQ saw both residents and family members come together for an afternoon in the gardens. I was worried at first that my mum wouldn't settle, however it has given her a new lease of life. The staff are very friendly and genuinely care about their residents and doing a good job.

If I have any issues to raise staff are more than happy to discuss these with me and look towards identifying a solution. The staff genuinely care for the residents and this is evident from the quality of the relationships that I have witnessed. My mother has lived there for nearly 2 years and is as happy as she is likely to be given her decreased mobility and advancing memory problems. Yes, at times there are staff shortages and bank cover but no more than any other care home in the area. The atmosphere within the home is cheery & positive, and I am always made to feel very welcome. The buzzer system could work better but staff are looking to improve this. Regular activity updates are shared on a private social media group and weekend activities are planned. Thank you for looking after my Mum.

The care team have been wonderful in helping my mum to settle in over the past 8 months. The varied activities really suit her - from singing and dancing, to social chats, carpet bowls and trips out. She's also greatly benefitted from the routine and the excellent food. The nurses, carers, managers and activity coordinators have all taken time to get to know mum, and she is treated with care and respect.

Inevitably there have been some bumps in the road as mum moved from our care to the new care team and environment. However, when issues have cropped up, the staff have always listened and been quick to put things right in a way that suits mum. We've also greatly benefitted from the team's advice on how to help mum settle - it's been a big change for all the family, and this advice has really helped.

Thank you for your feedback. It is greatly appreciated and helps us to continue learning and growing. I am pleased that, as a family and a team working together, we can continue to ensure that Mum receives the best possible care and support. Your involvement and observations are invaluable in helping us maintain and improve her wellbeing.

My mother was a resident for over 4 yrs .On the surface the home looks clean and well looked after .My mother died due to neglect from poor management ,so much there was an Internal inquiry. Too little too late ,and only a sorry on their behalf .I was concerned after my mother not eaten when I saw her and care staff reported this to management and nothing was done .My family members kept saying she has a UTI her weight plummeted she stopped eaten and declined 6 weeks she hadn't eaten a meal barely a spoonful of anything a slow death.which was painful to watch daily . She was a healthy woman with dementia 6 weeks before she died .The cleanliness was shocking with my mother having mice in her room and my sister having to clean the room herself ,surface cleaning ,shortage of staff constantly, bank staff used all the time resulting in bad hand over procedures . Staff bickering with each other not a good atmosphere. NO management staff on at weekends. No activities at weekends .

Overall home is adequate, however, staff shortage makes care for clients difficult as they can not possibly spend time with clients and answer buzzers efficiently. Staff do their very best but are run off their feet.

Beech Manor is a bright and spacious house, well maintained and clean. My dad has a lovely, sunny room overlooking the garden and often goes out to the balcony. All staff are caring and thoughtful towards my dad and I am satisfied that he is well looked after. My dad enjoys the meals and is looking healthier now. There are always activities being held at Beechmanor, although my dad doesn’t often participate he is always invited to join in and staff spend time encouraging and joking with him. My dad always seems to know about the staff so it’s obvious they are spending time chatting. I look forward to going into Beech Manor to see my dad and to see the other residents and staff there.

My mother went into Beech Manor Care Home a few weeks ago, and I have been very impressed with the home. The facilities are wonderful, the staff are absolutely excellent, I am always made to feel welcome when I visit and, more importantly, Mum is happy in her new home. It has been a pleasant surprise that every time I visit, any member of staff that I have met before knows who I am visiting and most remember my name, which adds to the welcoming feel of the home.
I have been phoned a couple of times with questions or requests, which is also a big plus for me as it shows that the staff are thinking about Mum's well-being and happiness as well as her general health.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Beech Manor as a potential care home for your loved ones and hope that your experiences match mine.

Overall the home provides a good standard of care for my father. The staff in general seem to know him well and he is always happy to return after being out with me. He enjoys the food and the new tuck shop initiative is a particularly good addition. He prefers one-to-one rather than group activities and in recent months the care home has been trying hard to accommodate this. A sign on the main road to slow traffic down would be welcomed as my father still enjoys going out for short walks on his own but has to cross a busy road on a bend. Also, a disabled blue badge for the home minibus would be great. To be fair the care home manager has tried to do this but so far to no avail.

Nobody wants their parent to end up in a care home and I had reservations over my dad going into one, not to mention the feelings of guilt, nowhere was going to be good enough! I’m happy to say my fears quickly disappeared and I can’t praise the staff and management at Beech Manor enough. The home is bright, airy and welcoming. The staff are always friendly, helpful and cheerful and there’s plenty of activities going on and the occasional trip out in the minibus. The rooms are a good size and always clean. The food is excellent and my dad wants for nothing on that front. He’s always clean and tidy which can’t be easy for the staff dealing with someone with well advanced dementia. Overall I’m very happy with the care my dad receives and would thoroughly recommend Beech Manor to anyone who is looking for a care home for a relative.

My mum stayed here for a short spell recently. I have no hesitation in recommending Beech Manor Care Home as a welcoming, friendly place if looking to place an elderly relative in care. The staff are all very helpful and always happy to assist if you have any queries. The home has nice, big rooms with wide corridors and is furnished to modern standards. The food is excellent with residents being given a well-balanced diet or, if not to their liking, can opt for something simpler if they wish. The staff are good at keeping in touch and always smiling. There is also a great activities programme with regular outings to places like the Friendship Cafe in Blairgowrie or the deer centre. A great home for your nearest and dearest with good parking too outside. Can't thank the staff enough, they all deserve special mention for treating my mum with great care and attention.

My mum is well looked after the staff ensure my mum is well presented and her clothes match. She always looks clean and tidy. My mum enjoys the food and has put on weight since staying there. The staff are all very helpful and remain cheerful in a challenging environment.
She enjoys getting her hair done by the hairdresser and enjoys time taking part in activities.

I haven't met the manager and I can't attend relative meetings as I work so usually miss the meetings. It would be good to be kept up to date with meeting minutes and information relating to changes and meetings.

Beech Manor is a well designed modern home which is bright and welcoming. The staff are friendly and approachable and treat residents with respect. There is a family feel here and we have put our trust in the staff to care for our Mum. There is an active activity programme which is geared to the residents' interests. The kitchen staff produce nutritional meals and residents' favourite meals can be offered. The garden is well cared for and is designed for the residents use. There are sheltered places to sit and enjoy the sun. If a problem arises staff are quick to inform you and they are very keen to involve you in resolving problems. Our family are confident we have chosen the best care home in the area.

Having to put my relative into a care home is one of the hardest things I've had to do. As her POA the guilt I felt was immense, however, from the minute we walked through the doors of Beech Manor it was obvious the care and dedication from staff was second to none.
My relative settled very quickly into their safe and caring environment. She has made friends, both with other residents and staff and they, in turn, have quickly grasped her personality, her likes and dislikes, her medical issues and have gone out of their way to ensure she feels comfortable, happy and secure.
As a relative, it's only natural to worry about your relative when you leave but we are able to walk out their doors knowing she is receiving the very best of care. Knowing her personal hygiene is taken care of and knowing that the environment around her is clean.

As a relative, there is always a warm welcome from staff when we visit. They are approachable, friendly and welcome you in as part of their extended family.

My husband has Parkinson, he has now lost the power in his legs and had to be hoisted out of bed and onto the commode. Also, his sight is going, he can't see now. I made this aware to the nurses and that he was unable to feed himself. They were very good, ordered red dishes for him and now feed him.
