At Renaissance Care, their aim is to ensure that when you come to live in one of their homes you continue to enjoy a good quality of life within a safe and relaxed environment.

All of their care homes are located in Scotland and offer care tailored to the needs of the individual. Each home is different, with most offering nursing care including specialist units for dementia care.

They see their staff as their key resource and recruit locally and look to train, support and develop all staff in order that they can deliver the same vision of what good care should be.

You can find their care homes in Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Forres, Peterhead and Blairgowrie.

Their package of care includes your own bedroom (unless you wish to share), prepared meals, laundry and housekeeping and the use of all the home's public areas including secure gardens. They encourage volunteer groups into the homes to meet with or entertain residents.

I would like to thank the amazing team at Glencairn for the care and support they have provided to my father since he became a resident at Glencairn two months ago. During this time he lost his wife of 43 years and the team have been extremely supportive and compassionate.
All of the staff are thoughtful
and caring. The care seems excellent and there is always a warm welcome. The rooms are beautiful and spacious and well appointed.
Thank you to the manager and the team.

Wyndwell Nursing Home

from Fiona M (Daughter of Resident) published on 15 July 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

Wyndwell has a lovely cosy feeling about it, warm and welcoming. From the Manager, the nurses, the carers, the admin, the caterers and housekeepers, each one is kind, extremely helpful and approachable. The care and attention given to the residents is first class as is the catering they receive. Wyndwell
have a varied activities programme with something going on each day. The staff go above and beyond in coming up with new activities for the residents to try. I can see real enjoyment from everyone.
Anyone who is considering making the difficult decision of moving their loved one into a care home should strongly think about Wyndwell as they won't regret it. It's a professionally run home, but with the touch of warmth that makes you feel you're visiting your relative in their own home. They're very accommodating.

Croftbank House

from Caroline B (Daughter of Resident) published on 14 July 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 1.0 out of 5

Horrific experience for my mother and our family in the final months of my amazing mother's life. Management team abysmal. Palliative care sub standard. Communication awful from the start. Only due to myself being an experienced nurse and having close friend who are working in palliative care did she
manage some peace in her final hours. Before this last period I discovered her flat on her back, soaking in urine and fluids from her legs, oxygen unattached and my poor mother in deep distress and discomfort. No answer to call bell so I got her semi comfortable before seeking out of staff. On speaking to clinical manager she denied the state I found her in trying to gaslight me to believe she had been fine and hour before which would have been 40 mins given the time I was with her. My mother went in this place for respite initially and unfortunately due to lack of nursing homes in the area we were stuck. From the start emails with our concerns went unanswered.

Reply from Kirstene Feenan, Marketing at Croftbank House

We're sorry to hear that your experience did not reflect the high standards we strive for at Croftbank. Our home is supported by a dedicated and compassionate team who work hard every day to provide a safe, respectful, and nurturing environment for all of our residents. While there may be differences in perspective, we are unable to discuss or comment on individual circumstances publicly due to our commitment to resident confidentiality. That said, we always take feedback seriously and use it as an opportunity to reflect, learn, and improve where we can.We are proud that the quality of care at Croftbank has been recognised in our most recent care inspection report, and echoed in many of the positive experiences shared by others.

Cannot thank Care Home Manager enough for the help she gave with my husband's emergency admission. She is exceptional in her role and support of resident's & family. Her warm, cheerful, friendly, enthusiastic manner sets the tone for a very positive, welcoming atmosphere throughout. Extremely impressed
by the entire staff as a unit. Highest praise for the care staff who helped my husband settle in quickly, treating him with dignity, respect, patience and personal interest. Excellent care home. Staff, facilities, food, entertainment and care are exemplary. My Mum has only been in Wyndwell since January this year. My mother has been in Malin Court since 2021. She seems to be content and has adapted to her surroundings well. Over time, sadly, her memory has been deteriorating but this is taken into account by the staff and her care.
Her room is comfortable, clean and the food is of a good standard. There are
plenty of activities each week for those who wish to and can participate but unfortunately mum is of an age where this is no longer the case.
I have always found the staff to be pleasant and helpful and I am confident in their care for Mum. I get called with updates on mum and her care, if she is unwell or if she needs anything brought in when I next visit.

Mum is well looked after and the staff are caring towards her and always ask how I am too. Her needs are usually met promptly. There are many activities on offer most days and residents are encouraged to join in although mum chooses not to

I am increasingly impressed by everything at this care home.
My mother has been a resident for over a year now and she has thrived since she arrived.
All the staff are caring, compassionate and kind to everyone, residents and visitors!
I'm noticing new additions and little touches of new furniture
and fittings whic( making the home very welcoming!
I'd have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone!

Mum has been here for nearly 5 years and she is very happy here. The staff are brilliant, very kind and supportive. Mum enjoys the food here as well, and there are always activities for her to participate in.

Meadowlark is a lovely place, very friendly and relaxed enough to have fun ! My husband would not be the easiest to care for but he is always very well looked after , he has a wicked sense of humour and loves to have fun and banter with everyone he is very happy and is always treaded with respect and
kindness. It is so reassuring to know that he is being kept so clean as is the whole building always improvements going on in and outside. It is so important to us as a family that he is so well cared for in such a lovely place. Perhaps we don't get the chance to say thank you to the behind the scenes staff enough they provide such a vital service in what they do , so thank you ! we as a family are always made so welcome it is just home from home so important.
