All of their care homes are located in Scotland and offer care tailored to the needs of the individual. Each home is different, with most offering nursing care including specialist units for dementia care.

They see their staff as their key resource and recruit locally and look to train, support and develop all staff in order that they can deliver the same vision of what good care should be.

You can find their care homes in Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Forres, Peterhead and Blairgowrie.

Their package of care includes your own bedroom (unless you wish to share), prepared meals, laundry and housekeeping and the use of all the home's public areas including secure gardens. They encourage volunteer groups into the homes to meet with or entertain residents.

Malin Court

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
I cannot thank the staff at Malin Court enough for their care and support of my aunt since entering the home in April. I'm personally very grateful for their continual support and guidance, enabling me to help support my aunt's needs.

This has been a difficult time for my aunt. In addition to having

to adjust to a change in living arrangements and lifestyle as a result of entering care, she has also had the trauma of unexpectedly losing her husband after more than 60 years of marriage.

The team at Malin Court have been truly exceptional!

Staff are warm, understanding. comforting and professional. They continually put my aunt at ease with their caring, friendly support and attentive care. This is a great comfort to the wider family.

On behalf of the family, I also wish to extend special thanks to the entire Malin Court team for their help and support in allowing us to manage my uncle's funeral in such a way that we could fully accommodate my aunt. Again, exceptional!

Reply from Renaissance, Care at Malin CourtThank you for your feedback. It fills us with pride to hear such kind words about the caring, nurturing, and compassionate team at Malin Court.

My Dad has been a resident of Malin Court since April 2025 and the positive change I have seen in him is remarkable. He has vascular dementia and he has become far more content and happy at Malin Court than staying at home on his own. He's always smiling and singing. The staff are so welcoming and caring
and make sure he is well looked after and cared for. The fact his dementia is progressing and he knows that there's always someone there for him if he needs is such a relief for me to know he's safe and well looked after. The food is exceptional and not a lot of care homes can provide the restaurant atmosphere and choice of dishes to maintain independence that Malin Court provides.

My friend, for whom I am POA was placed in Kingsmillsin mid December by her LA after they obtained Guardianship. I visit monthly, phone approx twice a week, and respond to any calls from home advising of any incidents relating to jy friend.
I n all dealings with staff from administrator, handy person
, care and nursing staff I have found all staff respectful and considerate of my friend.
I asked for , and after a few reminders I now get weekly activity planner emailed to me so I can suggest things she is likely to enjoy. I also use it to talk to her about on phone or when visiting.
The manager has offered to show me how to access relevant part of their Nourisgh system, but this is still to happen.
Although my friend most of time thinks she is temporarily in a hotel she appears quite settled, I get sensecstaff are getting to know her better, and learning best ways to manage her behaviour which can be challenging at times due to her dementia.
Reply from Kirstene Feenan, Renaissance Care at Kingsmills Care HomeOur experienced manager and deputy team are already having a very positive impact within the home, and we hope you continue to see these benefits. We are also pleased to hear that your friend is continuing to settle well and enjoy her time at Kingsmills. Our staff greatly enjoy supporting residents with activities they love, and we look forward to continuing to provide opportunities that she finds meaningful and enjoyable. Please do not hesitate to get in touch if there is anything you would like to discuss.

Our initial impressions following my mother's relocation from a local authority care facility in England to Mathieson House have been exceptionally positive. We were afforded outstanding support from the care home manager, who expertly guided us through the particularly demanding process of transitioning
to Edinburgh from England. Upon arrival, the staff-including carers, nurses, and administrative personnel-demonstrated excellence, and these exemplary standards have been consistently maintained. The quality of care and attention provided has been so remarkable that my mother, who had been eager to depart her previous care facility, now perceives herself as a guest in a distinguished hotel and has settled comfortably, bringing considerable relief to our family.
My mother has established some good friendships among both staff members and fellow residents, all of whom have extended a most gracious welcome to her.

Having gone through a difficult time at the home in relation to the standard of care being offered, and communication between staff being dreadful things have begun to improve. However there is still more to be done. It appears to be going in the right direction.

My husband spet a year & a half (18 months) in Cranford Care Centre where he received excellent support for his physical disabilities in the loving care & attention of all the staff. Excellent food cooked by 2 superb chefs. All his needs well supplied.

My mother was a resident for over 4 yrs .On the surface the home looks clean and well looked after .My mother died due to neglect from poor management ,so much there was an Internal inquiry. Too little too late ,and only a sorry on their behalf .I was concerned after my mother not eaten when I saw her
and care staff reported this to management and nothing was done .My family members kept saying she has a UTI her weight plummeted she stopped eaten and declined 6 weeks she hadn't eaten a meal barely a spoonful of anything a slow death.which was painful to watch daily . She was a healthy woman with dementia 6 weeks before she died .The cleanliness was shocking with my mother having mice in her room and my sister having to clean the room herself ,surface cleaning ,shortage of staff constantly, bank staff used all the time resulting in bad hand over procedures . Staff bickering with each other not a good atmosphere. NO management staff on at weekends. No activities at weekends .
Reply from Kirstene Feenan, Renaissance Care at Beech ManorWe're sorry for the loss of your mother and send our sincere condolences to you and your family. We're saddened to read your comments, as they do not reflect the usual high standards of care and cleanliness that the home is recognised for. Our experienced manager and care team is committed to delivering high-quality, compassionate care, which is reflected in our recent inspection outcomes.
As previously mentioned, we would much welcome the opportunity to speak with you regarding your concerns, and we remain open to discussing this with you at any time.

The staff are friendly, helpful and welcoming and the residents are well looked after. There are regular activities going on and regular trips for residents. The home is clean, warm and safe. My friend has had a new lease of life since she started residing in the home and has made many friends there.

It took 2yrs to finally get my Mum into a Care Home and Riverside Care Home just ticks all the boxes for us.
We were given a list of 10x Care Homes in Aberdeen area and looked at all the reviews, reports etc and visited 4 and Riverside was by far the best.
Just the energy in this care home with the
wonderful staff and great leadership all of whom you can see enjoy and are proud of taking care of the Patients.
In just 2 days my mum settled into the home with the warm welcome she received. The care home has so much to offer with actvities etc and well supported.
It's great to see my mum smiling again and know that she is in very good hands. Thanks to all at Riverside Care Home :-)
