My mum iris has been resident since hogmanay 2025 she has settled in great and gets on well with all staff i cannot praise the staff enough for the care my mum is receiving. myself and dad are very happy with the home it's it always clean and tidy and we always receive a friendly welcome when we visit.

My gran was a service user who passed away and myself and my family couldn't thank the staff and management for the love and care they gave my gran,the management after our loss was very comforting and caring with her beautiful kind words,they best home that was right for my gran,

As a daughter of a resident my mum has been in Benvie for over 2 years I have been in many times visiting her and find it hard to find carers residents sit in the lounge unattended the food is a disgrace for what they are paying for ie cauliflower cheese for dinner sandwiches and a packet of crisps
this isn't nutritious meals this is cheap food some residents are sitting with food down there clothes there is no interaction from staff no entertainment and a second hand mini bus that doesn't work Sits 6 people and the same people going on trips when the staff can be bothered taking them out.

As Sam's partner I am totally happy with the care he has received. The staff have been very helpful to me and the care Sam has been getting is excellent. He cant do anything for himself and the staff have been at hand all the time.

I am very happy with the care and attention my mum receives at Benvie Care Home
It is always very clean and smells nice whenever I visit
Mum is safe and happy here which gives me peace of mind which i did not have before she became a resident here almost 2 years ago
The staff are all very nice and

Visiting an elderly relative found resident was left with food down her clothes. Staff were not easy to find. Taking into consideration they were probably busy. Although on one occasion found 2 members of staff in the dining room on there phones..
Don't think this is acceptable professional working
practices.
On the passing of this relative I did not receive a phone call or any communication of their passing away till 5 days later of receiving a phone call from social worker.
The domestic who helped me with her belongings was appreciated and the laundry assistant who attended her funeral was greatly appreciated.
I found any communication between myself and the care manager was not greatly received and was what I would class as being obstructive.

My mother has been a resident now for four mths she has settled in well, she enjoys her interaction with "Benvie's" staff. She calls this her "new home" enjoys her food as it is excellent, as my mothers son, I am kept up to date, with my mum's progress, I am there to visit her six days a week and see
the effort Benvie's staff put into looking after my mother, zero concerns

My mother passed away on 28th August in Benvie Care Home.
She was tenderly and efficiently cared for at all times during her 10 month stay, but particularly during her final few weeks.
All staff were so respectful, caring and consoling to her and all her family. We shall miss them all.

Cannot thank Care Home Manager enough for the help she gave with my husband's emergency admission. She is exceptional in her role and support of resident's & family. Her warm, cheerful, friendly, enthusiastic manner sets the tone for a very positive, welcoming atmosphere throughout. Extremely impressed
by the entire staff as a unit. Highest praise for the care staff who helped my husband settle in quickly, treating him with dignity, respect, patience and personal interest. Cleanliness very good, testament to hard work. attention and efficiency of staff. The peaceful haven of the garden is a bonus, a very pleasant surprise to find it free of traffice noise in a built up area.

My husband is in Benvie Care Home around 8 months ago. From the beginning we have been seeing and receiving a very good care. Staff is doing amazing job and working hard. Rooms have got everything that patients needs. It's a very warm atmosphere in this care home. And its getting better from beginning

My gran's end-of-life care was utterly appalling. I can't even describe the heartache this has caused me to witness being a carer myself. Tried to express my concerns with management, she was not interested and would not take my complaint seriously. I needed to go to care inspectors instead to reveal
that my gran didn't have an end-of-life care plan written out, pain management hadn't been managed properly, and gaps in paperwork an hour before passing, and when she's was in palliative care - 15 minutes checks were meant to be getting done, she died alone as no one called to tell us she was deteriorating and not one member of staff said we can stay until a young member of the family was told when leaving. Her mouth care was not given any of the times I was in. I was the one giving her mouth care. The list goes on. The article in the paper from August was my report to the care inspector. The level of care was heartbreaking, no apology from home. Every complaint I put in could not be upheld.

My husband has been a resident in Benvie Care Home for six weeks. He is in the advanced stage of Alzheimer's disease. He has settled in reasonably well and I find he is mostly happy and content. I find staff caring and respectful to him and myself.

My mother has been in Benvie Care Home for respite care after a spell in hospital. She was treated with the utmost respect and dignity by all staff, who were professional, friendly and extremely helpful. I felt nothing was too much to ask to help my mum settle into a new environment.

I think a review is a great thing, it lets you know how your loved ones are getting on. Staff get to know their likes and dislikes etc. I have a brother that's been in the care home for almost seven years, he loves it and the staff are brilliant. I was very lucky to get my partner there also. He loves
the staff, food, care, and cleanliness and his room are lovely (homely). The management and staff are amazing.
