Dad came to live at Croftbank House in May. His first contact with the care home was when in hospital. The team that came to see him made him feel valued and respected. From this gentle, sensitive visit we knew we wanted dad to live at Croftbank.
Six months on, dad has settled in to his new home.
He is given person centred support directly looking at his needs. We have been kept fully updated and involved in dads care.
The care staff are so attentive, they work as a team, are hugely approachable and always happy to help. We value the amazing role they play in dads life.
Dad is involved in thoughtful activities. There is 100% energy and excitement put in to organising and delivering events.
Croftbank is so welcoming and continually takes pride in the maintenance and comfort of the home.
Dad had lost his sparkle but now feels safe and with the excellent care and homely, happy environment we as a family are being given an opportunity to see dad shine again.

My father-in-law has been in Croftbank for a matter of weeks. As anticipated there have been some basic issues which the family felt the need to highlight, as is the case with every care home. However, every concern or basic issue has been addressed to our satisfaction. As time goes by we have identified
some wonderful staff and we have been made to feel comfortable making suggestions to further enhance my father-in-law's stay. We recently had an issue which could only be resolved by close liaison between Croftbank and the Medical Centre and it was concluded to our satisfaction (and gratitude) over a very short period of time. While families should quite rightly highlight issues which concern them it is also essential that we voice our appreciation to the staff who demonstrate empathy and care in a professional manner. In my experience to date I have highlighted far more positives than negatives. We feel confident we have chosen the correct home for a much loved man.

Horrific experience for my mother and our family in the final months of my amazing mother's life. Management team abysmal. Palliative care sub standard. Communication awful from the start. Only due to myself being an experienced nurse and having close friend who are working in palliative care did she
manage some peace in her final hours. Before this last period I discovered her flat on her back, soaking in urine and fluids from her legs, oxygen unattached and my poor mother in deep distress and discomfort. No answer to call bell so I got her semi comfortable before seeking out of staff. On speaking to clinical manager she denied the state I found her in trying to gaslight me to believe she had been fine and hour before which would have been 40 mins given the time I was with her. My mother went in this place for respite initially and unfortunately due to lack of nursing homes in the area we were stuck. From the start emails with our concerns went unanswered.

I am increasingly impressed by everything at this care home.
My mother has been a resident for over a year now and she has thrived since she arrived.
All the staff are caring, compassionate and kind to everyone, residents and visitors!
I'm noticing new additions and little touches of new furniture
and fittings whic( making the home very welcoming!
I'd have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone!

My dear aunt was accepted into Croftbank House during the first covid lockdown in 2020. It was a difficult time for us all, but for care home staff and residents, it was awful. However, Croftbank House went out of its way to ensure that family visits went ahead as safely as possible and that residents
were fully protected. Beyond covid, the care given to my aunt by all the staff was fantastic - warm, caring, sensitive and full of empathy. It made her 5 year stay as comfortable and as happy as possible. The staff do a very difficult job well, with professionalism and integrity. It made me confident that my aunt was in a safe place and I didn't have to worry about her wellbeing. Sadly, she passed away peacefully in May 2025, but to the very end, the staff treated her with compassion, love and dignity.

If I could rate Rosepark Nursing Home 10 stars, I would.

My Dad was given the best care and treatment ever and every member of staff were amazing.
My family were made so welcome every time we visited and Rosepark Nursing Home is spotless and a true home from home.

Sadly my Dad passed away but

I can honestly say, he was able to die in a dignified and comfortable manner.

I would like to thank every member of staff who looked after my Dad and my family, you were all amazing.

As a nurse, Rosepark Nursing Home has filled me with faith that all staff who are employed are dedicated and take pride in their role.

I would recommend Rosepark Nursing Home to all families who are considering an excellent nursing home for their love one.

My sister has just completed her six month review, having moved into Croftbank in July24. Like many I'm sure, we her family worried how she would adapt to her new life having lived alone in her own house for some years. No need to worry. She often volunteers that she is so happy in her new surroundings.
She loves her little room with so many of her own things around her. Her door is open much of the time so that everyone who passes by can say hello and they do. She made friends immediately and they visit each other, share a dining table and go to activities and outings together. and at the end of the day she can close the door and cosy down with her TV. She has wi-fi so her family can chat to her - different folks every day on video calls (a boon for those with dementia). She just loves all the foods so beautifully cooked - old favourites and try something new. Wishlist-Shower in her room. All the staff are first class, friendly, welcoming and supportive of us too. What a relief.

My mum went into Croftbank House in August 2024 and she settled very quickly and has been very settled ever since. She is treated extremely well by all members of staff who are very attentive to her needs.
As her daughter, it is very comforting to see her and to know she's safe and getting the best
care suited to her needs.
Many thanks.

Our family is so happy that our mother is a resident at Croftbank. She is very happy there and the staff are very attentive and caring. We have some experience of other care homes and there is no doubt that Croftbank is one of the best in the region. The new home manager is determined to improve things
further through greater involvement of the families which is a fantastic initiative and we wish her well.

My review is (mostly) about the treatment of our family members (not my mother's treatment).
Most staff members are pleasant enough, but I have encountered 2 exceptions to that rule. One is just an all-round unpleasant person, with a combative attitude with me. For instance, being nasty with me, when
I reported one of my mother's possessions had gone missing, saying to me "Oh, that? It was in the office, but it's not there now!” As if to say: not my problem.
I informed her that if it was not found, then the home would be responsible for replacing it. My poor mother didn't lose it, and the family certainly didn't lose it. However, her attitude was deplorable. I think she is high up? But know she is not the care home manager. I've never seen this woman with a smile on her face!
The other staff member, I just observed being very sharp with a resident, when he wouldn't (or couldn't) physically comply with her request (she got frustrated with him).

I have been visiting my mum in Rosepark since she was admitted six months ago. I would like to say, the staff greet you with a smile and make you feel welcome when you visit. Staff are caring to my mum and always available to chat and answer any questions on how she is. There's never a 'moan' or a feeling
that anything is too much when I ask them for anything for my mum. The place is warm, hospitable, bright and modern, which makes you feel that the staff and home care about the residents in creating a nice place to stay. I've spent a lot of time here, chatting to staff, when I visit my mum and always get offered a cup of tea and a snack. It takes the stress and worry of where your loved one is, knowing that people actually care and that you're not just a number to be forgotten about. In what was a very stressful time, having to find a suitable care home for my mum, it's taken a lot of the worry and stress away knowing that my mum is happy in a caring and loving environment.
