Cranford Care Centre

There is a friendly atmosphere at Cranford Care Centre. The staff are cheerful and take great care of the residents. Staff come up with creative ideas to entertain those in their care.

Mum has been a resident in Cranford Care Home since February 2026 and the transition and care she has received in the Care Home has been amazing. The staff are always very approachable, very friendly and are excellent. The weekly activities are very good and include pampering sessions. Mum is definitely in the best place and she has said over the last few weeks, how much she is enjoying Cranford. I would definitely recommend Cranford Care Home. Keep up the excellent work!

We have been so grateful as a family for the care and attention paid to our Dad by Cranford Care Centre. The staff go over and above to provide for all in their care. We always feel welcome and they are quick to respond to any issues. They provide lots of stimulation and activities and are always there with a helping hand. It is a happy, safe and homey environment and we are pleased we chose here for Dad.

My husband spet a year & a half (18 months) in Cranford Care Centre where he received excellent support for his physical disabilities in the loving care & attention of all the staff. Excellent food cooked by 2 superb chefs. All his needs well supplied.

We are delighted with the facilities and are/nursing staff at Cranford Care Centre. This has made the transition from home to a care home as smoothly as we could have hoped for.

There was plenty to do , bingo , cards which my mum just loved a game of cards , entertainment with various acts and lots of other things going on . The meals in this care home was brilliant I must say , plenty of variety , wholesome and very well presented , my mum enjoyed everything , all residents were asked & chose what they wanted to eat . The care home was very inviting and my mum loved being there , well done to all who works here , A big Thankyou to all .

My mum was in the care of Cranford Care Centre in Aberdeen. The staff, their unfailing attentiveness we were so grateful for. Down from the management, past down to domestic assistants. Mum had stroke, unfortunately her speech was comprimised. Staff always made her smile. We were ever so pleased we chose Cranford to end mums days there. End of life care was superb. Thank you to all.

My mum has been at Cranford for 4 months she is having a problem settling but I can say that the Nurse and staff are excellent and have done so much to help her, they are very friendly and always available to talk over any concerns and answer any questions.

My experience of Cranford Care Home is totally positive on all fronts. The building itself is fine and most importantly all the people who work there are fine individuals who carry out their challenging duties in a very caring and professional way.

I have no concerns whatsoever regarding his care at Cranford and appreciate the attention and care which he receives. Thank you.

Early days, but the Renaissance are certainly on the correct footing!

My mum was in Cranford for 3 months. Her care from the start was excellent, very attentive and caring. All the staff are amazing and go above and beyond with their care. The home is like a big hug. Great activities, including music, gardening, and pampering sessions. I would recommend the home highly to anyone. My mum was very happy and content, her room was lovely and cosy.

Cranford is a great care home that provides amazing activities for the residents. The staff are very caring and lovely. I appreciate all they do! Which is far above most care homes. I would highly recommend it to anyone wishing for a comfortable setting for their family members.

Many care homes in and around Aberdeen were visited prior to choosing Cranford as first choice. The decision made has never been regretted. The manager is exceptional, the staff and the activities co-ordinator excellent. I have total 'peace of mind' knowing that my mum's personal care, nursing care, dietary needs and social needs are all being taken care of. Approachability of staff is fantastic. A wonderful place where residents continue to feel 'at home' as well as 'in a care home'.

Cranford Care home has provided Dad with a safe, secure and homely environment since May 2022 when he had to be cared for after a fall which diminished his mobility. The carers, who are always busy, find time to tend to his needs. He enjoys the chat with them and they really look after him. We are kept updated with any issues as they occur. Recently, it was re-emphasised, by him and his family, that his bed wasn’t really long enough for him. The new manager sorted this out and he now looks forward to going to bed, knowing that he won’t be cramped up. The surroundings are warm and welcoming.

After an extensive search of nursing homes, Cranford Care Centre was our first choice. We were delighted when a room became available for Mum in December 2022. The care and friendly support from the staff at Cranford Care Centre was key, both to mum and our family, as she transitioned from living independently into the nursing home. Mum is really well cared for and enjoys the interaction she has with the staff.

Overall it was not a positive experience for our father and our family. While there are some very good carers, other lacked the necessary skills to help with stress and distress. Communication was poor and often confusing. Staffing levels have been very low with service users and their families often left waiting for 20 minutes or more for assistance. Social isolation and no meaningful activities.

My room is spacious, light and airy. The staff are very good - carers are excellent but I feel they could do with more. The food is good. The activity coordinator is very good. I would like more showers. It was meant to be every second day but it needs two carers to go to the showers.

My mum was a resident for several months at the end of her life. My family chose Cranford Care Centre because it had a warm, welcoming atmosphere and it didn't disappoint. The staff were always friendly and considerate not just to Mum but also to Dad who visited on a regular basis (Covid permitting). The staff were caring and my mum seemed to enjoy interacting with them. Mum also made a few new friends and we are so pleased we picked Cranford!

I have had a lovely time here, meeting new friends and staff. It feels like a five-star hotel to me! My family are very happy. I have settled in quickly - the food is very good and I love the hairdresser every week on a Friday. Can't wait until the entertainment starts.
