Very happy with the care my father receives at the Home. He very much enjoys the entertainment program that has been increased in the last few months. The staff are all very professional and helpful.
Dad also loves the grounds and how beautiful they look.

It would be helpful if we were kept updated on medications changes.

My Mum & Dad moved into Meadowbanks in November 2018.
We sadly lost my Dad the following year, and my Mum continued to live happily at Meadowbanks until she passed away in May 2026.
Mum's room overlooked a lightly wooded & peaceful area where wildlife abound with no road noise.
Mum was so grateful for the care afforded to her, she had f2f weekly access to her GP, she loved having her hair done in the hairdressing salon, and used the services of regular chiropody & manicure professionals.
She appreciated daily menu choices of meals prepared on site, and loved the range of activities & exercise classes that are available.

Her carers supported her personal needs, would tune her in to favoured TV channels, and bring her drinks without being asked. She was deeply grateful for the care she received and likened Meadowbanks to living in a "5 star hotel". During Mum's final weeks her carers did all they could to make her comfortable, we will always appreciate the great care she received.

Overall Experience

My wife has been a resident of this home for about two years. She is being well looked after by the friendly staff who treat all the residents with consideration and respect. Her medication is being administered in accordance with the visiting Doctor's prescription and if staff have any concerns as to my wife's health they refer her to the GP and keep me informed. The home is very well run with lots of activities to stimulate and entertain the residents. Although I would prefer that my wife was well and at home with me I am grateful that she is safe and secure and being well looked after in Meadowbanks.

My mother joined the other residents in September 2023, and has been very well looked after ever since. The home is always very clean and tidy.

I find the staff very professional and caring, nothing is too much trouble for any of them.

I would not hesitate to recommend Meadowbanks to anyone

Overall Experience

From the short respite I booked in September 2025 to my present permanent stay, I have been made to feel safe and happy at Meadowbank Care Home. As my mobility decreases, staff are willing and able to meet my needs, always with a smile and energy, making my stay a happy one. The food is good with an imaginative menu offering nutrition as well as variety. The application of medication is excellent, giving me reassurance. I was very reluctant at the thought of needing residential care, but Meadowbank has dispelled any reservations I had, and I am happy to be cared for here. Management and carers really do care at Meadowbank.

Overall Experience
My father went in for a 4 week respite stay after 6 weeks in hospital where he had weakened from too long in bed.
The staff were fantastic with him, gave him some time to settle, bringing food to his room, encouraging time in the chair and in the bed and then as he got stronger and relaxed a little encouraged him to go to the dining room and take part in activities.

All staff were very friendly and caring and had time to speak to us when we visited to update us on his progress.

I can't speak highly enough of the exceptional care my mum receives at this home. From the moment she arrived, the team have shown nothing but kindness, patience, and genuine compassion. They take the time to understand her needs, her routines, and the little things that make her feel comfortable and valued.
What stands out most is the consistency of the care. Every member of staff treats her with dignity and respect, and it's clear they truly care about her wellbeing. They keep me updated, involve me in decisions, and always make me feel welcome when I visit. The atmosphere is warm, calm, and reassuring - exactly what you hope for when entrusting someone you love to others.

Knowing my mum is safe, supported, and surrounded by people who look after her as if she were their own family gives me enormous peace of mind. I'm incredibly grateful for everything they do. This home is a credit to the care profession.
