From our initial contact to every subsequent conversation with the team, we've been delighted with the kind, warm and professional approach we've experienced.. not just for our mum, but for us as a family too. The care, food and environment are all very good however the staff are what stand out for me. Very thankful to have mum there.. safe, happy, entertained, involved, well cared for and very well fed!
Thank you so much for your kind words. Were delighted to hear that both your mum and your family have felt supported and welcomed. Our team will be so grateful for your feedback, and were pleased to know your mum is safe, happy and well cared for.
I visited my friend at Almond Valley Care Home today. I was also having a meeting to go over my friend's 4 week review. My husband and I took her along to the café for coffee and cake and while we were there a member of staff advised that there was going to be musical bingo starting in 10 minutes and invited us to stay and take part. We did and had a great time. We also got to meet another resident who sat with us. Everyone joined in and thoroughly enjoyed listening to theme tunes from television programmes. It was also lovely to see our friend enjoying herself. Afterwards there was tea and lovely homemade cake for everyone who wanted it. An enjoyable and memorable afternoon.
Thank you so much for your lovely review. We're delighted to hear that you, your husband, and your friend had such an enjoyable afternoon at Almond Valley Care Home. It's wonderful to know your friend enjoyed the musical bingo and the chance to relax with tea and homemade cake. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience your kind words mean a lot to our team.
My husband has now been living in Almond Valley for a year and he has settled in so well. All the staff are so friendly and helpful. They always use his name and have a real understanding of who he is which is so important to me. I love the idea of the mens club and as his dementia progresses they are always ready with solutions to deal with the problems. As the home is reaching capacity I do feel the areas where they socialise are too small but I believe they are addressing this situation.
Thank you so much for your lovely review. We are delighted to hear that your husband has settled so well at Almond Valley and that you feel our staff know and understand him as an individual.
It is also wonderful to hear that the men's club has been a positive part of his time with us. Thank you...
Agonising and handing over the devoted care of my Mum was the hardest decision iv ever made. However, after only 8 short weeks iv watched Mum thrive, flouish, make lovely new friends and generally be happier and healthier. Never did l expect every single member of staff to b so dedicated, warm, caring, respectful and welcoming. Nothing is a bother. Also outstanding is the activities team. What they do on a day to day basis for the residents is amazing. Thank u also for making my life better too. Visiting Mum is a pleasure now!!!

My Mum has been a resident since March 2025. Would highly recommend Almond Valley Care Home, it's not a "home" it's a five-star hotel. The staff always go above and beyond the call of duty, nothing is too much trouble, they always make sure every resident is included, the care and compassion is second to none, they are all amazing, giving peace of mind. Our experience with Almond Valley Care Home has been nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we walked through the doors, we were struck by the warmth, professionalism, and genuine care shown by every member of staff. Not once have we had a negative experience - the team is consistently attentive, kind, and compassionate, treating each resident with dignity and respect.
The home itself is beautiful, welcoming, and thoughtfully designed to meet the diverse needs and comfort levels of its residents. The environment feels more like a home than a facility, with comfortable living spaces and an adaptive approach that ensures each individual feels safe, seen, and supported.
One of the standout features of Almond Valley is its incredible activities team. The ladies go above and beyond to engage residents with daily activities, outings, and special events - always with a personal touch. My dad arrived into Almond Valley a very frail man who was bedbound. The care and support he has received is beyond expectations. It has taken a while but he is now very settled. The team take care to do things at his pace, making sure he is comfortable and happy at all times. With their support and encouragement, my dad is now able to walk short distances.
