My in-laws were the first two residents in this bright, shiny, new addition to the Crystal family. The facilities are excellent, and even more importantly, the team are wonderful - courteous, engaging and professional. It's a transition for our whole family, not least the residents of course, and the
Arplemere team have steered us all through it. We are all deeply appreciative.

We moved my dad into Arplemere from another care home and from the outset, Laura the Manager and Danielle the Customer Relations Manager made the whole process so easy and straight forward. They were extremely professional and supportive and kept us informed along the way. On arrival, we were greeted
by so many friendly and welcoming people, it felt very special indeed. I actually thought we had arrived at a 5* hotel!! The new building is beautifully designed and set out. A lot of thought has gone into making this place homely, it is a real gem and my dad absolutely loves it here. We met so many staff on our 1st day and each and everyone of them were fantastic but a big thank you goes out to Sarah who was amazing at getting my dad settled and to the brilliant chef for the fantastic lunch which we were invited to stay for. Thank you everyone xx

My Father has been a here for a week. He has been made to feel very welcome, has settled in well and he is definitely enjoying the lovely food. All the staff are excellent and treat the residents with care and dignity. When visiting I feel very welcome and nothing is too much trouble. The home is brand
new and has been finished to a very high standard.

During what can only be described as a challenging time for our family, we couldn't feel more supported and confident that my grandad is in the right place and getting the care and support he needs. We even managed to still celebrate his 87th birthday as a family, with the sky bar decorated for the
occasion, exclusive use of the room for as long as we wanted, and a lovely buffet provided for us - making it possible for us to make happy memories, and celebrate a special occasion as a family.

We recently visited our grandma, who is having restbite care in arplemere. The level of personalised care she receives is outstanding, and it's clear that every resident is treated with dignity, patience, and genuine compassion.

The team are incredibly welcoming and attentive, always taking time

to ensure both residents and visiting family members feel comfortable and supported. The environment is spotless and bright, with a calm, fresh feel throughout the home that instantly reassures you.

We would especially like to thank Lauren, Sarah, Holly, and Alex, who were outstanding in every way. Their kindness, professionalism, and dedication really stood out.

This care home is exceptional, and we feel incredibly grateful knowing our grandma is cared for in such a wonderful place. We highly recommend it without hesitation.

We cannot speak highly enough of this care home and the exceptional, bespoke care they provide to our grandma. From the moment you walk in, you're met with warmth, kindness, and genuine compassion from every member of staff. It truly feels like a home, not just a facility.
The staff go above and beyond
to ensure residents are comfortable, respected, and cared for as individuals. Everyone is incredibly friendly and approachable, and it's clear they genuinely love what they do. The facilities themselves are immaculate-always clean, fresh, and welcoming, which gives us great peace of mind.
We recently visited for an early Christmas celebration, and the kindness shown to our entire family was unforgettable. The staff made the day feel so special, not just for our grandma, but for all of us. A special mention must go to Lauren, Sarah, Holly, and Alex, who were absolutely exceptional-compassionate, attentive, and truly wonderful.

My parents were the first residents at Arplemere. From the beginning, the staff have been professional, caring and considerate to both my parents, and my sisters.
The management team; Laura, Danielle and Janine gave us regular updates regarding my parents moving in. They were incredibly caring and
made sure the transition went smoothly . They also make sure the home is clean, welcoming and put my parents needs and welfare first. The facilities (bar, tearoom, cinema, hair salon etc) are beautiful and the attention to detail (my parents favourite tipple, activities they enjoy, food they favour) make this a "home from home" experience
The care staff; Lauren, Oliver, Alex, Lauren and all the other carers have been excellent. They have kept us updated re my parents health needs and have given us all outstanding support. My parent's welfare is their priority. Rob and Sam prepare amazing food and treats. Jo provides fantastic entertainment and activities. Care at this home is exceptional.

Viewed over 10 different homes before finding the perfect one with great facilities for residents and one that put our mind at ease that they would care for our mum to the highest standard.
Staff have took so much time to settle my mum into her new home. They show compassion and care to the very high
standard. They make the home welcoming for families to visit also.
The home is filled with laughter and activities to keep all residents engaged.
Seeing our mum laugh and smile for the first time in a long time is heartwarming
Thank you to all the staff for your support not just with my mum but to us as a family. I would highly recommend Arplemere to anyone who has to make the difficult decision to put a love one in a home.

Absolutely outstanding service for my nan in her new care home. The staff we have come into contact with so far have gone above and beyond to not only make my nan feel welcome but us as family too. They've already provided us with a lovely lunch for the family on arrival day and basket of goodies for
Nan on arrival and we already feel so happy she is there.

Lauren ( I think I've remembered your name) is just amazing, she greeted my nan like she'd known her for months and had her smiling and laughing, knowing she is going to be in your care is a lovely feeling. All of the staff (sorry too many names to remember) have gone above and beyond today, especially the two carers who assisted my nan today whilst we moved her in - thank you thank you thank you. We can't wait to see how she settles in and it becomes home for her!!

We have just moved my Mother in today from a different care home and cannot thank all the staff and Management enough for all their help and support who could not of been nicer and any more caring during this transition. They could not of given any more support and have made such a fuss over our mother
which has made her feel so at home and relaxed with the move it really does feel like a home and not a care home as everyone is so pleased to be working there this reflects in the care they provide. They even provided a five star lunch for all of us during the move so a MASSIVE Thank you to Lauren and all of her colleagues for looking after all of us today, A big Thank You to Danielle Customer Relations Manager who is perfect in her role and ensured our every need was met today. Finally to Laura who is in complete charge who came to See our Mum when we applied to go to Arplemere Care Home THANK YOU as a Manager you are simply just amazingly Brilliant at doing your role .

Current Review Score: 9.7 (9.695)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.7 (9.695) out of 10 for Arplemere is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 12 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.7 out of 5 from 12 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.986 for Arplemere is calculated as follows: ( (141 Excellents x 5) + (2 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 143 Ratings = 4.986
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.709 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Arplemere is based on 12 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.8
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 66 registered maximum number of service users is 13.2. 12 Positive Reviews ÷ 13.2 = 0.909
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
