Overall Experience
My friend is not easy to support due to personality and mental debility, but staff are so very patient and kind. I am amazed at how well they engage.

My friend is always clean and nicely dressed, and even when he is in a difficult mood, they exercise tolerance and good humour. The home is very clean, and the staff seem to work as a team. Food looks like hotel standard and is nicely served. There are always activities to which my friend is invited. My review is based on observation of level one of the home.

The facility is pristine, clean and well staffed. I didn't know that such a high standard was possible with not only the rooms and common areas to an incredibly high standard but the food and amenities. The staff are superb and the quality of care second to none . Would give 10 stars if I could.

Mum moved in to Atlantic View in May 25 and within a few days she was very happy and settled. She amazed us all by how relaxed she became.
The warmth and care from the staff towards her is wonderful. This is not just the fantastic carers, nurses and entertainment staff, but also the welcoming receptionists, kitchen staff, laundry/cleaning staff, maintenance staff and managers. Everyone is exceptionally friendly and the environment is one where the wellbeing of the residents is paramount.
The decor and layout of this care home is amazing. There are 4 floors, each with their own communal room and dining area overlooking the Firth of Clyde to Arran. It is cheerful, bright and airy.

In short, this is what care should be and I am so relieved and pleased that Mum has the opportunity to enjoy each day as it comes in such a warm and caring new "home".

Overall Experience
My friend realised that she required more care than she could have in her own home. Her family visited several local care homes on her behalf and decided that they thought that Atlantic View could provide the care that she required. They were very impressed with all aspects of their visit. The manager of the care home visited my friend at home to meet her and her family and determine whether they could meet my friend's needs.
My friend found this reassuring but still entered Atlantic View care home with some trepidation.
However, it has been remarkable how quickly she has settled. She loves her room, the staff and feeling cared for. In fact, she told me should would never go home as this was where she wanted to live!
As a visitor, I have nothing but praise for Atlantic View. The all round standards are very high and I am made to feel most welcome and encouraged to join in any events.

The staff are first class and so welcoming. Nothing is too much bother.

After spending many months in hospitals in Ayrshire my husband was fortunate to find a place in Atlantic View Care Home.

The staff from when you enter the building have been so caring, friendly and attentive to him and from what I have observed, the other residents. The rooms are beautiful and so clean and definitely the best I have seen in the area. The view is spectacular and so uplifting to watch the world go by from the lounge/dining area. Entertainment is supplied by local artists, well-qualified hairdresser keeps up residents' appearance and I cannot recommend this home enough!
