I come with a wealth of experience in elderly and dementia care; my career spans decades in roles within the private sector such as home manager, regional manager and turnaround manager. I have also worked with the NHS in the role of Adult, Support and Protection Advisor, which enabled me to gain further insight and experience in safeguarding adults within care services.

We have a great team at Atlantic View who excel in nursing care skills and knowledge with training and development of our staff always at the forefront of our practice in an ever-growing and changing healthcare environment.

Kiera Wood is a dedicated Mental Health Nurse with over 12 years of experience working across mental health and care services. She is passionate about supporting older people and those living with dementia, bringing both extensive clinical knowledge and genuine compassion to her role.

Throughout her career, Kiera has supported individuals living with a wide range of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, emotional distress, and changes in behaviour. This experience has given her a deep understanding of the close connection between mental and physical wellbeing and the importance of delivering truly holistic, person-centred care.

Kiera believes that outstanding care is about far more than meeting physical needs. For her, the most important aspects of care are building meaningful relationships, listening with empathy, and ensuring that every resident feels safe, valued, respected, and understood.
