My Mum spent the last months of her life in this home. I have been so grateful for the treatment she was given. Staff are excellent. They create a family atmosphere and go beyond to ensure the happiness of residents. My Mum was safe and well looked after. The emotional reaction of staff members when
she passed was incredibly touching. We were supported too especially in the last few days of Mum's life. Nursing home fees are expensive but, in our case, worth every penny paid.

Thank you so much for your kind review. She was such a presents in the home and she is very much missed by the staff that work in the Hillis unit. But also the loss of the family is a thing we will never get used to. As always I will share your review with the staff, they will very much appreciate your kind words.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My friend realised that she required more care than she could have in her own home. Her family visited several local care homes on her behalf and decided that they thought that Atlantic View could provide the care that she required. They were very impressed with all aspects of their visit. The manager
of the care home visited my friend at home to meet her and her family and determine whether they could meet my friend's needs.
My friend found this reassuring but still entered Atlantic View care home with some trepidation.
However, it has been remarkable how quickly she has settled. She loves her room, the staff and feeling cared for. In fact, she told me should would never go home as this was where she wanted to live!
As a visitor, I have nothing but praise for Atlantic View. The all round standards are very high and I am made to feel most welcome and encouraged to join in any events.
The staff are first class and so welcoming. Nothing is too much bother.

Mum moved in to Atlantic View in May 25 and within a few days she was very happy and settled. She amazed us all by how relaxed she became.
The warmth and care from the staff towards her is wonderful. This is not just the fantastic carers, nurses and entertainment staff, but also the welcoming receptionists,
kitchen staff, laundry/cleaning staff, maintenance staff and managers. Everyone is exceptionally friendly and the environment is one where the wellbeing of the residents is paramount.
The decor and layout of this care home is amazing. There are 4 floors, each with their own communal room and dining area overlooking the Firth of Clyde to Arran. It is cheerful, bright and airy.
In short, this is what care should be and I am so relieved and pleased that Mum has the opportunity to enjoy each day as it comes in such a warm and caring new "home".

Overall, very good experience.
Nurse on Katrine Wing outstanding with personal care and extremely approachable.
All other care staff very good.
Mums health has improved since arriving.
In terms of improvements two main ones would be repairing the lift and the stairway carpets is in need of being
replaced on way to Katrine wing. This would really improve initial impression. In summary very happy.

My partner has had the best care possible so far. The staff I have come in contact with are very nice and helpful.
My partner seems content and settled. He does relate to the staff. Unfortunately due to the lift not working in his unit he was unable to get out unless it was an appt. He was also
unable to take part in a lot of the activities are they were held mostly in another unit. However he has now been moved to a room in another unit with a working lift.

I can't praise the home enough since my mum became a resident in the home last year. She has dementia and was extremely anxious going in as we were. One of the members of staff was there when I arrived and made me feel confident that she will be taken care of. Since then she and her team have been great
with my mum and now she feels at home there and happy. Her care has been first class and the staff member keeps me up to date with her ongoing care. Another carer I must mention is great with mum and very patient. Thank you to all for looking after her. I also have to add the home is very clean and very bright rooms for the residents to sit and relax.

Lochleven Care Home

My mother was admitted to Loch Leven in November of last year, with the understanding that she would receive end of life care. She was suffering a number of health issues, including cancer of the womb. She was 95 and had lived independently till then. She was alert, talkative, and sociable, and initially
had difficulties adusting to institutional care.
She was made very comfortable and fully engaged in the life of the home, with activities, personal care and support, and a genuinely cheerful relationship with the staff. She became much more comfortable and made good friends with other residents. The food, care, and attention was excellent.
My mother in fact lived another 8 months. Our family was made to feel welcome at all times and we were fully and candidly briefed on the challenges that her changing condition presented.
I am particularly grateful for the management of her final days and hours, where I was helped unreservedly by the excellent staff. I will always be grateful to them.

Netherton Court Care Home

When my mum arrived in Netherton Court she was under 6 stone. She is 91 yrs old. She settled very quickly and has now put on a stone in weight from April 2024 to May 2025. She continually tells me how well carers and other staff are to her and how well looked after she is. The staff are friendly and
courteous and very helpful to both residents and their families. They supply my mum with protein drinks to keep her weight up which she never received anywhere else. Mum is very happy here.
