Burlington Court Care Home is situated just off Junction 10 of the M8 motorway. The home is situated not far from Glasgow Fort. It is a 90 bedded Care Home offering care for Frail Elderly and those with Dementia among other conditions.

This includes a 15 bedded Intermediate Care Unit for those who need rehabilitation from hospital. This is a 4-week assessment placement used for residents who are looking to go home or to move to another Care Home. There is also the option to move into Burlington Care wider home depending on beds available.

The home has a large garden area surrounding the outside of the building. It also has a closed off Courtyard that residents and visitors can access weather permitting.

The home also has a local van that comes daily to deliver residents' newspapers and also provides cakes, sweets confectionary etc.

The home has two full time activity workers and a part time activity worker who organize day to day activities including trips to local churches, day centres, etc.

My ninety five year old mother has been resident for over a year now and has received excellent care throughout. The caregivers are attentive and exceptionally kind. There is a constant supply of tea and biscuits and my mother continues to enjoy this along with her meals. Activities are provided
regularly and she laughed throughout the recent pantomime.

Everything so far has been fine have no problems with staff etc if I have asked any questions they have been answered

Friendly caring staff in the unit. Staff always friendly and go over and above.
Good food and different snacks available. Entertainment staff have variety in what they do. Decorations amazing at Christmas and parties. Put on by staff excellent. More care in putting personal laundry away.

Carers and nursing staff are very nice and helpful could not do enough to make my sister feel comfortable, she ate her meals started to put weight on first time in six years, could not recommend this place enough staff always made my sister welcome and even when myself and sister came to visit her.

Came to visit my husband's grandfather and the staff were lovely. They took my granddaughter into the garden with her grandfather to plant seeds which she loved. The staff were very approachable and involved all the service users it was a lovely place to visit.

Mum has been here since March 2018. She has been well looked after and I/we could not be more grateful for the love and care she has been shown. The care my dad receives is great and he likes the carers and the activities the girls do with the residents are fantastic. My dad enjoys all the activities and my mum also joins in when she is up visiting. The staff are great with my mum as well.

My mother was admitted to the home for intermediate care in March 2024 following a stay in hospital. I left the word care out as I had never seen any care administered. She had been there for 3 days when we discovered she had a broken wrist. We all know accidents happen but it's unforgivable that for
over 48hrs not one staff member noticed this. I am guessing no personal care was given over that period as if it had they would have seen this injury as it would have been very hard to miss. As bad as the wrist incident was it was the drugs given to her to keep her docile and compliant and in a drugged haze that were actually making her worse.
My 84-year-old mother after 3wks escaped, had managed to make her way home to her own house in Shawlands. Nobody knew she was gone until I had contacted them. We decided she was not returning as she had suffered enough. She is now settled, happy and thriving in a dementia care centre in the Gorbals.

I am happy that my uncle is being well cared for. The staff are all very nice and helpful, I feel my uncle is now settling into being in the care home. It has taken him a while but I can see that he is accepting the home now.

Staff are all lovely, my gran seems well looked after. Would appreciate if communication was slightly better, had tried to call quite a few times and no one picked up (totally understand if you were busy, however).
Also, had sent a request to join the social media page a few years ago and still yet

Lorraine has been a qualified nurse for 30 years and has been with Burlington Court since 2008, bringing a wealth of experience and dedication to the position.


In her free time, Lorraine enjoys reading, going to the cinema (she is a huge Lord of the Rings fan!), dining out, spending time with family, and travelling abroad to explore new places. A personal achievement she cherishes is becoming a dog lover; despite initially not wanting a dog, she now enjoys dog-sitting for her son's pet and loves every moment of it.


What Lorraine enjoys most about her role is the friendly, home-like environment at Burlington Court. She loves meeting new people and learning about their histories, as everyone has a unique story to share.
