Burlington Court Care Home

The environment is always clean. Seems to be fewer staff around these days and larger numbers of agency staff. Staff are very attentive to the needs of the residents and treat residents with dignity and respect and are very hard working. Good standard of care overall.

Felt my mum was looked after until she was found out in the courtyard at 10 o’clock at night, a few weeks ago. This is still under investigation. But I know my mum is really happy here and most of the staff are fantastic with her.

The activities staff do their job well. The new manager is very good, my dad is safe, his room is lovely. Very expensive, but not sure what he gets for his money due to covid. The drain in his shower room sometimes has grime around the drain.

My husband has settled into Burlington very well. Myself and the family are quite pleased with his care. All the staff and management are very good, they go out of their way to make sure we are happy and that my husband is being well looked after. If I had to make a complaint, it would be that I feel that when I take things in for him(I am referring to things such as toiletries), they seem to be used on other people. Also some of his clothes such as socks and pyjamas, but other than that Burlington Care Home is very good and I know it is not an easy job, in fact, it is a very difficult job and very challenging at times, so many thanks for the care and attention that my husband is getting.

Can’t thank all staff for the care, it’s 100%. My aunty has come a long way and is looking great, weight on, her communication skills are amazing now, as before she was very deep and wouldn’t speak much. Thanks to everyone. The activities she is interacting with, are so amazing. The managers and all staff are just amazing.

I always find that my mum's clothes go missing when they go to laundry. I have to buy pants constantly. Could they come up with a better system to stop this from happening. I find the staff friendly and helpful. I feel there are more activities now.

Since my husband came into Burlington care home, I am satisfied with the care he is receiving. He is well looked after, which makes it easier for me his wife. He has a lovely room, which is always clean.

The care home staff and cleanliness is excellent. I cannot comment about the food as I am currently nil by mouth, but it smells nice which can be a pain to me when I feel hungry. The other residents are lovely too and seem well cared for and content.

No issues to report. Happy with the service and support my mum gets. It's been a trying time due to the pandemic, from window visits to more relaxed, I’ve felt that the care home has adapted as well as can be expected.

My mother-in-law seems to have settled in well to the care facility. She seems happy and contented in her new environment. She seems to relate well to the staff who have been patient and understanding. She has been involved with a range of different activities from bingo to a sing-song associated with the queen's jubilee.

I have found that my father is calm and relaxed when I visit. He is in his chair listening to his radio and content. I have found him to be well looked after and have enjoyed watching him interact with both Burlington Court staff and the visiting hairdresser. I have been pleasantly surprised at how well my father has taken to life at Burlington Court and can only put this down to the quality of the care and the attention he receives from all members of the staff that look after his welfare.

Me as the sister don't always agree with things, but I know my brother is happy where he is. As a staff team, I say it varies, attitudes, language barriers, and communication with phone calls. Staff seem more relaxed since covid and entering the home is more relaxed.

This is not the first time we have used Burlington, which tells you everything. Like every business people make the difference and the staff led by the manager, are first class. They all show great enthusiasm for the job, are totally empathetic to the patient's needs and carry it out with professionalism and a smile. Still offering a 5-star service in these difficult times - Well Done!

We are very pleased with the care our dad is receiving. He is really relaxed settled and happy. All staff are lovely and really caring, they can’t do enough for Dad and they are always pleased to see us when we visit. Burlington Court is always really clean and tidy. We can’t thank them enough for all they do.

My brother seems to have settled into the care home life. The staff are attentive and caring. They have been a great help with the settling in period and are always friendly and helpful. The room has been kept clean and tidy. I have enjoyed visiting him back in the care home after being in lockdown.

As a family, we looked through all local care homes and we chose Burlington Court. My mum has been a resident since it has been open. It was the best choice as far as we are concerned as a family. My mum settled after a while. Every staff member took good care of my mum, which I am so so grateful for. The staff are so caring and welcoming and made all our family feel so comfortable when visiting as nothing was too much for them to help if we asked. My grandfather was also there and was well looked after. The staff even called him Granda. I would like to say a big thank you to every staff member at Burlington Court for looking after both members of my family. I would highly recommend this care home as the staff are so caring and friendly.

I would like to thank the staff in Douglas Unit, my dad was a resident in there for only a few months, but you'd think he had been in there for a lot longer as all the amazing staff helped him settle in so quick. Sadly, on 1st December, Dad passed away very peacefully and pain-free; the great staff made sure of that. I will be forever grateful to the amazing staff that gave my dad the level of care in which they did.

Like most people, I was apprehensive about my Ma going into care. My Ma was going downhill rapidly. Since going into Burlington Court she has improved immensely thanks to the care and dedication of the staff. I really appreciate all they are doing, especially during this Pandemic. I love getting the updates and seeing the photos on the FB page.

My mother has been in this care home since February 2019. She has had a few accidents which staff have dealt with quickly getting her the medical support she needed. After many hospitals stays they have welcomed her back and treated her appropriately. She has built up relationships with all staff. She has her favourites and rightly so. I want to thank all the staff for looking after her and treating the family with respect. I hope we can get to visit again soon.
