Burlington Court Care Home is situated just off Junction 10 of the M8 motorway. The home is situated not far from Glasgow Fort. It is a 90 bedded Care Home offering care for Frail Elderly and those with Dementia among other conditions.

This includes a 15 bedded Intermediate Care Unit for those who need rehabilitation from hospital. This is a 4-week assessment placement used for residents who are looking to go home or to move to another Care Home. There is also the option to move into Burlington Care wider home depending on beds available.

The home has a large garden area surrounding the outside of the building. It also has a closed off Courtyard that residents and visitors can access weather permitting.

The home also has a local van that comes daily to deliver residents' newspapers and also provides cakes, sweets confectionary etc.

The home has two full time activity workers and a part time activity worker who organize day to day activities including trips to local churches, day centres, etc.

No issues to report. Happy with the service and support my mum gets. It's been a trying time due to the pandemic, from window visits to more relaxed, I’ve felt that the care home has adapted as well as can be expected.

My mother-in-law seems to have settled in well to the care facility. She seems happy and contented in her new environment. I have found that my father is calm and relaxed when I visit. He is in his chair listening to his radio and content. I have found him to be well looked after and have enjoyed watching him interact with both Burlington Court staff and the visiting hairdresser. I have been pleasantly surprised at how
well my father has taken to life at Burlington Court and can only put this down to the quality of the care and the attention he receives from all members of the staff that look after his welfare.

Me as the sister don't always agree with things, but I know my brother is happy where he is. As a staff team, I say it varies, attitudes, language barriers, and communication with phone calls. Staff seem more relaxed since covid and entering the home is more relaxed.

My brother seems to have settled into the care home life. The staff are attentive and caring. They have been a great help with the settling in period and are always friendly and helpful. As a family, we looked through all local care homes and we chose Burlington Court. My mum has been a resident since it has been open. It was the best choice as far as we are concerned as a family. My mum settled after a while. Every staff member took good care of my mum, which I am so so grateful for.
The staff are so caring and welcoming and made all our family feel so comfortable when visiting as nothing was too much for them to help if we asked. My grandfather was also there and was well looked after. The staff even called him Granda. I would like to say a big thank you to every staff member at Burlington Court for looking after both members of my family. I would highly recommend this care home as the staff are so caring and friendly.

Thank you to all carers, nurses, activity team, domestic staff, maintenance guys, kitchen and office staff for pulling together through this pandemic.
Your hard work and commitment have made Burlington Court a safe place for our loved ones to be, especially at a time when us as families can't be there
in person.
The Facebook page is a fantastic way for families to see what's going on. It's great to see loads of happy faces participating in the activities going on within the home.
The frequent and very detailed telephone updates from nursing and senior caring staff are really appreciated. Staff are so down to earth during these calls, and their genuine love for the residents always shines through.
Every staff member within Burlington Court who has worked their way through this pandemic has done so with the utmost respect to residents and their families.

I would like to thank the staff in Douglas Unit, my dad was a resident in there for only a few months, but you'd think he had been in there for a lot longer as all the amazing staff helped him settle in so quick. Sadly, on 1st December, Dad passed away very peacefully and pain-free; the great staff
made sure of that. I will be forever grateful to the amazing staff that gave my dad the level of care in which they did.

My mother has been in this care home since February 2019. She has had a few accidents which staff have dealt with quickly getting her the medical support she needed. After many hospitals stays they have welcomed her back and treated her appropriately. She has built up relationships with all staff. She
has her favourites and rightly so. I want to thank all the staff for looking after her and treating the family with respect. I hope we can get to visit again soon.

This is a very difficult time to write a review, given the current pandemic. However, that aside, we have no complaints about the level of care provided and would highly praise the staff who work with our relative on a daily basis. My Great-Grandmother attended Burlington Court near the end of 2019 as her health had unexpectedly deteriorated quickly and she could no longer live alone. The care she received when in the home was second to none and all of the staff that looked after her did so in a very caring, respectable and personal
manner. She knew them all by name and had a different relationship with each of them. Unfortunately, she passed away due to her ill health, but the staff and management were very professional in helping us with the situation upon our visits. I’m writing this review because I feel that during this current pandemic, the home has come under a lot of very unfair and untrue criticism from the press, yet still, they seemed to have coped well and as always the care of their resident’s came first and foremost. I met the majority of the staff during my visits, and everyone was very friendly and welcoming. I would thoroughly recommend the home to anyone.

After all the bad publicity during the Covid outbreak, I felt I had to comment again about Burlington Court. During the time my mother was there I found the staff extremely competent and caring. Nothing was too much trouble for them and anything we requested was dealt with. They treated my Mum with
nothing but respect and compassion and nothing was too much trouble for them. Amid all the bad publicity surrounding care homes, I felt I had to speak up for Burlington.

I spent many a day spanning over a period of 26 months at Burlington Court when my Mum was being looked after there, and I can hand on heart say, that every member of this amazing team could not care any more than they do for their residents and the families/relatives. I saw first-hand the daily challenges
and demands they face, they are all professional and capable and put their residents' needs first at all times.

Since coming to live at Burlington our uncle has gained weight, is bright and chatty and seems very happy. The staff have done a truly amazing job and we cannot thank them enough. Lorraine has been a qualified nurse for 30 years and has been with Burlington Court since 2008, bringing a wealth of experience and dedication to the position.


In her free time, Lorraine enjoys reading, going to the cinema (she is a huge Lord of the Rings fan!), dining out, spending time with family, and travelling abroad to explore new places. A personal achievement she cherishes is becoming a dog lover; despite initially not wanting a dog, she now enjoys dog-sitting for her son's pet and loves every moment of it.
