Burlington Court Care Home is situated just off Junction 10 of the M8 motorway. The home is situated not far from Glasgow Fort. It is a 90 bedded Care Home offering care for Frail Elderly and those with Dementia among other conditions.

This includes a 15 bedded Intermediate Care Unit for those who need rehabilitation from hospital. This is a 4-week assessment placement used for residents who are looking to go home or to move to another Care Home. There is also the option to move into Burlington Care wider home depending on beds available.

The home has a large garden area surrounding the outside of the building. It also has a closed off Courtyard that residents and visitors can access weather permitting.

The home also has a local van that comes daily to deliver residents' newspapers and also provides cakes, sweets confectionary etc.

The home has two full time activity workers and a part time activity worker who organize day to day activities including trips to local churches, day centres, etc.

My friend loves his time in Burlington Court. The staff are great with him and are very patient. Every member of staff has a good connection with my friend and keeps him going with a carry-on and laugh. The home is always well kept and no matter what you ask of staff they are always there to help.

Mum has good days and bad days but the staff are great at helping to make this a positive experience for her. There are good activities and she has the opportunity to have days out which she thoroughly enjoys. It’s a huge decision for any family to place a loved one in care of any kind but we’ve come
to terms with this and are assured through the care given to mum. We would recommend this home to anyone who asks our opinion.

Great service and staff. My aunt has special needs and can be very difficult at times and has low mobility the staff have gone over and above to accommodate and make sure she’s comfortable.

Our relative is safe and well cared for. The staff know and understand her very well. I am always contacted if there is a problem or information to pass on about our relative. The staff can tell me what she’s had to eat when I’m visiting. Her room is spotless. There seems to be a great programme of
activities for those who can participate and special times of year are celebrated with decorations in the home. I have mentioned a few occasions when I have been visiting and found myself in the lounge with residents. Obviously my visits only give a snapshot of the home but in general the staff are very friendly. Thank you.

My mother has been in this facility for 8-10 weeks and has been looked after excellently, she has settled in now and looks more relaxed. The staff make things easy for my mother and us as a family and the care is exactly what we require as a family and my mother.

I couldn't be happier than I am with the care that my mother receives. I am pleased with the staff engagement with my mum and myself and can see that my mother's needs are being met in many different ways. I appreciate being kept up to date with my mother's progress in regard to health, diet and any
other relevant information regarding her and the facility. I am also very pleased with the standard of hygiene throughout the home and also my mum's own personal care. Overall the standards set by the home are in my opinion to a high and satisfactory standard.

Everyone so good, all members of staff, I could not ask for a better lot of people to look after my partner. They are so kind and the care and understanding they give us makes me appreciate these wonderful members who work in difficult situations with people with all sorts of disabilities, how they

My mum seems to be really settled. Staff are nice and friendly and very helpful. Rooms are kept clean and tidy. Food is also good. My mum seems to be very happy in the care home. We haven’t had any issues or complaints.

All care has been good in respect of the care received with all her issues. It’s taken her some time to get used to being here but the staff have been very supportive. Any issues have been easily resolved. The care has been good, especially the washing and care.

Mum's well looked after with staff no complaints. I am happy that my mum is enjoying all activities and entertainment in the home. Good to walk in and see Mum has been to the hairdressers, which she attends every Tuesday.

The environment is always clean. Seems to be fewer staff around these days and larger numbers of agency staff. Staff are very attentive to the needs of the residents and treat residents with dignity and respect and are very hard working. Good standard of care overall.

Felt my mum was looked after until she was found out in the courtyard at 10 o’clock at night, a few weeks ago. This is still under investigation. But I know my mum is really happy here and most of the staff are fantastic with her.

Facilities not sure about, as I am always in my dad's bedroom. Most of the care staff are fine. The home is very clean from what I have seen. My dad is treated with dignity, food and drinks are good.
The activities staff do their job well. The new manager is very good, my dad is safe, his room is
lovely. Very expensive, but not sure what he gets for his money due to covid. The drain in his shower room sometimes has grime around the drain.

My husband has settled into Burlington very well. Myself and the family are quite pleased with his care. All the staff and management are very good, they go out of their way to make sure we are happy and that my husband is being well looked after. If I had to make a complaint, it would be that I feel
that when I take things in for him(I am referring to things such as toiletries), they seem to be used on other people. Also some of his clothes such as socks and pyjamas, but other than that Burlington Care Home is very good and I know it is not an easy job, in fact, it is a very difficult job and very challenging at times, so many thanks for the care and attention that my husband is getting.

I always find that my mum's clothes go missing when they go to laundry. I have to buy pants constantly. Could they come up with a better system to stop this from happening. I find the staff friendly and helpful. I feel there are more activities now.

The care home staff and cleanliness is excellent. I cannot comment about the food as I am currently nil by mouth, but it smells nice which can be a pain to me when I feel hungry. The other residents are lovely too and seem well cared for and content.

Lorraine Foster

Job Title: Home Manager Joined: 2008

Lorraine has been a qualified nurse for 30 years and has been with Burlington Court since 2008, bringing a wealth of experience and dedication to the position.


In her free time, Lorraine enjoys reading, going to the cinema (she is a huge Lord of the Rings fan!), dining out, spending time with family, and travelling abroad to explore new places. A personal achievement she cherishes is becoming a dog lover; despite initially not wanting a dog, she now enjoys dog-sitting for her son's pet and loves every moment of it.


What Lorraine enjoys most about her role is the friendly, home-like environment at Burlington Court. She loves meeting new people and learning about their histories, as everyone has a unique story to share. For those considering a career in care, Lorraine acknowledges that while it can be challenging and difficult at times, it is also one of the most rewarding jobs you will ever do.
