Initially Dad was confused and reluctant to move even though he accepted how nice the building is and how good his room is. We spent a few hours a day with him for the first week or so and were made very welcome and provided with excellent meals; Dad tells me how helpful everyone is and how good the food is. It hasn't been easy for the carers to help him settle into different surroundings, but they have been brilliant, knowledgeable, patient and successful!

Clare Mudge is Acting Manager at Bilbrook Rose and brings more than 35 years of nursing and care experience to the role. She began her career in the NHS before moving into social care over 20 years ago, where she has continued to build her passion for delivering high-quality, person-centred care. She believes that delivering excellent care starts with understanding people, building strong relationships and creating a place where everyone feels valued and supported.
Having previously been involved in the commissioning and management of Millfield Rose, Clare brings extensive operational and clinical experience to Bilbrook Rose. Her focus is on supporting the team, maintaining high standards of care and ensuring residents feel safe, valued and genuinely at home.

A big part of my role is creating meaningful, person-centred activities that bring purpose, enjoyment and engagement to our residents’ days. I believe activities should be shaped around the people who live here, so I take the time to learn about their interests, hobbies and life experiences, as well as the things they would like to try.
Our activities are resident-led and include familiar favourites alongside opportunities to discover something new, create new experiences and make special memories together.
Most importantly, I want every day at Bilbrook Rose to be filled with meaningful moments, friendship, fun and plenty of laughter!
