Shirley

Shirley Gibbs

Job Title: Registered Manager

My name is Shirley, and I consider it a privilege to lead and work alongside the team at Bilbrook Rose Care Home.

I have had a long and fulfilling career in health and social care, beginning at the age of 16 when I chose to leave school and pursue my passion for helping others. Forty-seven years later, I remain committed to this vocation. I started out as a care assistant, progressed into care management and went on to qualify as a nurse along the way.

I firmly believe that care is more than a profession; it is a calling grounded in genuine commitment to supporting others.

The most rewarding part of my role is seeing the people we care for thrive and enjoy a fulfilling and meaningful quality of life. Supporting residents & their families through every stage of their journey never loses its meaning.

Outside of work, I am a proud Mum of three and Grandmother to five beautiful Granddaughters who bring me immense joy in my free time. I also enjoy walking and listening to music.

My door is always open, whether you would like to arrange a tour or simply have a friendly chat over a cup of tea, I would love to hear from you.

Elizabeth

Elizabeth Bradley

Job Title: Customer Relationship Executive

My name is Elizabeth, though most people call me Lizzie, and I am the Customer Relations Executive here at Bilbrook Rose. I bring extensive experience from across the care sector, having started my career providing hands-on care and support. I later progressed into senior carer roles, where I was able to support teams, uphold high standards, and contribute to delivering outstanding person-centred care.

Alongside my frontline experience, I have worked within care recruitment and customer service. This has given me a strong understanding of both the needs of the people we support and the expectations of the teams who care for them. These experiences allow me to communicate effectively with residents, families, and professionals, ensuring our approach is always clear, supportive, and centred around individual needs.

I am passionate about helping people feel confident and reassured from their very first contact with us. Building positive relationships and guiding people through their care journey is something I value deeply, and I’m proud to bring that commitment to my role at Bilbrook Rose.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and my furry friend, Huxley, as well as gardening and exploring the outdoors.

Nanda

Nanda Hughes

Job Title: Clinical Deputy Manager

Hello, I'm Nanda, Deputy Manager at our home.

I have been a Registered Nurse for over 40 years and bring a wealth of experience in district nursing, palliative care, and care home management. Supporting and caring for older people has always been my passion. I am dedicated to helping residents maintain their independence, dignity, and quality of life, while ensuring they can enjoy each day to the fullest.

As Deputy Manager, I work closely alongside our Home Manager, Shirley, and our dedicated team to deliver the highest standards of compassionate, person-centred care. I am committed to creating a warm, welcoming environment where every resident feels valued, respected, and supported to live a fulfilling and enriching life.

Building positive relationships with residents and their families is one of the most rewarding aspects of my role. I take great pride in ensuring that our home provides not only excellent care but also a true sense of comfort, community, and belonging.
