My father is very happy in the perdiswell rose home. After a shaky start he was there a week and fell ill. 2 weeks in hospital, he could not wait to get back to the home, on returning to the home he had a nice warm welcome from the staff has he did on his first day.
The rooms are clean comfortable
and have a home from home feel, with beautiful furniture all matching and the rooms are clean.
Nothing is to much trouble for the staff, always popping in for a little chat with dad they always make each other laugh.
The staff are always helpful to visitors and keep you update with progress of dad.
Well done to Perdiswell Rose including all the staff that have made my dad feel happy again after the passing of mum.
Outstanding would tell people about the home.

A fine establishment with very high standards of facilities and care and lovely staff doing their best to ensure all residents are as comfortable and well looked after as possible. If I have one suggestion it's that there might be a book or video available on the TV setting out details of services available
and the various routines involved as they affect residents.

Resident complains of other residents wandering in and out of her room all the time. Contract states a lockable draws or cupboard should be available and isn't. Her TV remote is always not available to her and if it is we have to replace batteries and it goes. She complains that night staff do not answer
her bell when requiring toilet in the night. The staff generally are helpful and any request is dealt with well.
Reply from Julie Reade, CSE at Dora Rose Care HomeThank you for completing the review. I am sorry you have experienced these problems. I thought things would improve now that your sister has moved floors within the home. The rooms do have a lockable draws, keys need to be obtained for the nursing team or management. Any further issues can be discussed with myself or management.

The care staff and nursing team are very helpful and caring. I appreciate that they are busy but will make time to listen to me and try to understand my husband which is difficult.
There is a lovely atmosphere on his floor.

Dora Rose Care Home

Mum is receiving excellent care and I know that she is safe and content. The rooms and communal areas are well-designed and furnished. I am a little disappointed that some of Mum's nicer clothes have gone missing and also a pair of pearl earrings. Sometimes communication with Clare (manager) is slow
and sometimes messages are not passed on. Otherwise, I am very pleased.

All staff are friendly and helpful. nothing is so much trouble when Mom asks for assistance. Rosie and Nicola are my main contacts who are brilliant. Entertainment team are really good we attended a community quiz night last night the place was packed and it was fun. The nurse on moms floor Charmain
is lovely. It seems a bit unfair to pick out certain people as the whole team are good its given my mom a new lease of life.

We're delighted to hear that your mum feels well supported and that nothing is too much trouble when she asks for assistance. Rosie and Nicola will be so pleased to know they've made such a positive difference as your main contacts, and we'll also make sure your kind words are passed on to Charmain and our entertainment team. It's wonderful to hear that you enjoyed the community quiz night and that the atmosphere was so lively and fun. Your comment that the whole team have given your mum a "new lease of life" really means a great deal to us all. My friend has been at Studley Rose for about 6 weeks and I'm very impressed with the care she has received. The staff are truly lovely, warm, welcoming and very attentive to her needs. They have taken great care in supporting her personal hygiene as she always looks well cared for and comfortable. The
rooms are clean, tidy and well maintained creating a calm and pleasant environment for residents. The food is excellent too. What really sets this care home apart is the staff. Their kindness, patience and genuine commitment to residents have made all the difference.
