Such a wonderful, accommodating establishment. All the staff I have come into contact have very helpful, nothing is too much for them, whether large or small. I am kept informed of my husband well being as that is paramount. I would also like to give a mention to 2 of the nurses Mercy & Kheira and aslo
the lady I meet when I come into the building (the receptionis) whose always has a smile and very helpful.

My dad arrived at the home quite poorly, however, the care home have taken such good care of him. He is eating, looking healthier, happier and his quality of life has improved so much. The staff are amazing. Very caring and conscientious. They communicate with us really well. They monitor my dad really
thoroughly and act on his health so he's been making such huge improvements based on this. They spend time with him and play games and watch movies. We are so pleased as a family and could not have asked for a better home. Thank you for your excellence.

A fabulous place for your loved one to reside at. All the staff are very caring, loving and very passionate looking after our loved one. He has thrived so much since moving here. We are so surprised and elated he has made such good progress. When he initially came here, was bed ridden but with the loving
care and attention, he has managed to become mobile again. We are forever grateful.

My sister in Law has been a resident at church Rose since May 23. She was in a poor state of health both physically and mentally and we did not expect her to be with us very long. We knew nothing about Church Rose but we were pleasantly surprised. We could only visit about every 6 weeks but they
let us know if she was not well. Sometimes when we visited they even gave us a lunch which was very nice of them and we enjoyed the food. The staff were always pleasant, talked to us in such a friendly way. when we arrived at the home we were always welcomed warmly. My sister in law passed away, quietly and gently last week, just before her 94th birthday. She had been well looked after and when we were told of her passing it was with care and respect. We want to say thank you to everyone at the home. You have been so good.

I rarely ever give excellent ratings in any survey so my good rating does not suggest any deficiency as I am very satisfied with almost everything in this care home. The two items assess as satisfactory would make no difference to my friend as she is not able to do much at all.

My dad has now been residing here for a month and I cannot thank the staff enough. The care so far of my dad has been brilliant. Everybody from the Manager to the nursing staff, catering staff, admin staff, cleaners, even the handy man are all so friendly and always welcome us with a smile. Dad is
really settled here and for us as a family it was a major thing finding the right home for him but glad to say this home is brilliant. We are always informed of any issues with dad and they have gone above and beyond to encourage him to join in with activities and include him (not just leave him lying in the bed like other places). I would just like to say well done to you all you have made this transition for the family really easy.

Fantastic home. Dad sadly passed away mid June but lived here for over a year. He was happy living here and the staff treated him so well. I live in Scotland and the nursing home staff were excellent in providing updates and helped me to have calls with him when he could no longer call himself. They
listened to him when he was well and helped him to be independent still. It was very personalised care he received. They treated him with care and respect even in his last few days and were so kind to me and my family when he passed away. I couldn't have asked for a better place for my Dad to live and it was the first time in years that I didn't have to worry about him.

Current Review Score: 9.7 (9.709)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.7 (9.709) out of 10 for Church Rose Nursing Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.7 out of 5 from 20 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 20 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.709 for Church Rose Nursing Home is calculated as follows: ( (173 Excellents x 5) + (59 Goods x 4) + (5 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 237 Ratings = 4.709
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Church Rose Nursing Home is based on 20 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 48 registered maximum number of service users is 9.6, which has been reached with 20 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
