Watermead Rose is a bespoke new care home, designed and equipped to deliver exceptional residential, nursing, dementia, respite and bariatric care.

The home can accommodate up to 80 residents and boasts 6 beautiful lodges set over three floors. Each lodge has 12 or 14 rooms and their own lounge and dining room, which makes for a peaceful environment of a small community. Each room has it's own en-suite and colour smart TV. The beautiful home features superb facilities throughout, creating an environment that’s conducive to wellbeing.

Well known for embracing diversity, MACC Care hope to establish a community at Watermead Rose which reflects the wider Leicester community and welcomes residents from all walks of life. The team are respectful of all beliefs and lifestyle choices and the home offers a multi-faith room for prayer, meditation and times of quiet contemplation.

The home has two separate kitchens, one specifically dedicated to preparing vegetarian and vegan meals, allowing the kitchen team to meet all dietary requirements and preferences. Wherever possible, the team work with fresh ingredients.

The home has lots of shared spaces too, including the garden cafe, the cinema, hobby rooms and a hair salon.

The home also has its own activities team who embrace the wishes of the residents by arranging meaningful one to one and group activities, which include carpet bowls, dominoes and scrabble clubs, flower arranging, quizzes, book and poetry reading, Bingo and fun keep fit sessions, to name a few. The home often welcomes community groups and entertainers to bring a variety of inclusive shows in to the home to celebrate different cultures and key celebrations throughout the year.

A care home that feels like a home! This care home gave my mum a comfortable home-from-home experience for the last five weeks of her life. All of the staff from management to carers, receptionists, activity staff, cooks, cleaners and maintenance are all fantastic. Would definitely recommend.

We are so thankful to all the staff at Watermead Rose. From the moment we walked through the doors, we felt a sense of warmth and genuine care. The team treat residents with kindness, dignity, and respect, and it is clear that they go above and beyond every single day.


My mum is so well looked after

here - her needs are met with patience and compassion, and she is always encouraged to join in and feel part of the home's community. The staff not only provide excellent personal care, but they also take the time to really get to know her, which makes such a difference.


The home itself is welcoming, clean, and has a lovely family feel. The meals are thoughtful and nutritious, and the activities are engaging and tailored to different abilities and interests. Most importantly, we have complete peace of mind knowing that mum is safe, happy, and valued.

From day one of my husband arriving at Watermead I knew he was going to be looked after. We have had experience of the care home system and I can honestly say Watermead Rose is 5 star care, from every aspect housekeeping, care and support you are the best. Its only been a couple of months but the difference
in my husband is wonderful he looks well and fresh. His personal care is second to none as a family we can't thank you enough. I have regular up dates on any changes and we all feel part of the Watermead Family. I know know we have found his forever home. Thank you.

My mother has been in Watermead Rose for the past two weeks. She has enjoyed her respite stay. Made some new friends, enjoyed the daily activities. Lovely caring home, all staff polite and professional whilst also being caring and kind. Could not do enough to help mother to settle in and enjoy her stay. Food choices were great and varied, the activities were brilliant and the activities staff ensured that all could take part.

Loving, caring staff. Showed my mother the dignity she deserved right up to her final days when she passed away. Although our time at Watermead Rose was brief, just 12 hours, it left a lasting impression. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel like part of the family. Every question we had, no matter how small or unsure it felt, was answered with genuine care and knowledge. Our visit was during a very
difficult time, as our loved one was receiving end-of-life care. The compassion, communication, and commitment shown by the staff were truly second to none. They didn't just care for our loved one they cared for us too. We were regularly checked on, offered tea, coffee, and food, and made to feel as supported as our loved one.


After her passing, the kindness we received was deeply moving-sincere, thoughtful, and offered as if from a family member. We are so grateful for the dignity and love shown in those final hours. We would wholeheartedly recommend Watermead Rose to anyone seeking not just professional care, but human kindness at its finest.

Mum moved to Watermead Rose at the end of February. She seems settled and happy here. The staff particularly the senior carers have kept us up to date with how mum has settled in. The staff are exceptional! Our experience so far is very positive.

Having reviewed a number of care homes in Leicestershire, the facilities and culture displayed at the home gave the family the confidence to select Watermead Rose for mother's care needs. Whilst such a move has been difficult for mum at times, the care and compassion as a resident has confirmed that
the selection of Watermead Rose was correct. The rooms are well appointed in this bespoke facility and the many activities arranged for residents here created a much improved social life for mum.
