The staff are attentive and friendly. The home is spotlessly clean, lots of things for residents to do if they want to. A big weight taken off my family's minds knowing my mom is being cared for and looked after.

I am an old neighbour of my friend and I have found the staff really helpful and kind. Always make us welcome. She is usually comfortable and food is very good. She is always clean and well cared for. I often jokingly tell her I am going to book a room for myself! I am a friend of hers and I was her
neighbour.
Reply from Steven Kazembe, Manager at Meadow Rose Nursing HomeThank you for your lovely feedback. We're glad you feel welcomed when visiting and that your friend is comfortable, well cared for, and enjoying her meals. Your kind words mean a great deal to the team.

Meadow Rose are a kind and caring establishment run for the patient benefit rather than corporate grind. The activities are appropriate and and varied - aimed at provoking memories and bringing joy. The staff are caring and hard working. A credit to the organisation. Where any issues do occur residents
and relatives are listened to and taken seriously and are dealt with in a timely fashion. Overall we are very happy with the care received.

Our daddy had been in Meadow Rose for 5 and a half weeks. Everyone was so lovely and friendly. They cared for my daddy, making him feel comfy. I cannot think of a nicer place for him to have been. Our daddy went to Heaven on Sunday. I cannot answer facilities as Daddy was in bed on palliative care or
activities. But I am sure they would have been great.
Reply from Steven Kazembe, Manager at Meadow Rose Nursing HomeThank you for your thoughtful review. It means a great deal to our team to know that we were able to provide comfort and care for your father during his final days. We are deeply sorry for your loss and send our heartfelt condolences to you and your family. Wishing you and your family peace and strength during this difficult time.

Our mom was a resident at meadow Rose Nursing Home for 15 days. She was very poorly and was in bed for the whole time she was there.
She received excellent care. Any medical changes noticed by the staff after their daily checks were immediately reported to the family. mom was always treated with dignity,
respect and compassion by all members of staff. We would always recommend Meadow Rose Nursing home to anyone in the same position that we were in.

I had nursed my husband at home for 9yrs before I was told he needed 24/7 nursing care so it was very difficult for me to have to hand him over to others to do the nursing. However, it was soon very clear to me that he was having the best of care and I was finally able to relax and be grateful the stress
and strain had been taken from me and we could enjoy as much as possible the time left to us.

I can't express enough gratitude for the exceptional care my Dad received at Meadow Rose Nursing Home. From the moment we arrived, it felt like a second home. The staff were not just caregivers; they became like family. They treated my Dad with kindness, compassion, and respect, ensuring his comfort
and happiness every day. The facility was clean and well-maintained, with a warm and inviting atmosphere. Always asking residents and family what could be done to make it even better than it already is. Visits from Alpacas and Ponies were a real delight for him. If you're looking for a nurturing environment for your loved one, I highly recommend Meadow Rose.

Current Review Score: 9.8 (9.783)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.8 (9.783) out of 10 for Meadow Rose Nursing Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 39 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 39 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.783 for Meadow Rose Nursing Home is calculated as follows: ( (369 Excellents x 5) + (78 Goods x 4) + (9 Satisfactorys x 3) + (1 Poors x 2) ) ÷ 457 Ratings = 4.783
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Meadow Rose Nursing Home is based on 39 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 56 registered maximum number of service users is 11.2, which has been reached with 39 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Job Title: Home Manager Joined: 2005

I joined Macc Care nearly two decades ago, and it has truly been a remarkable journey. Meadow Rose holds a very special place in my heart, as I have spent almost half of my career here. This home isn’t just a workplace for me, it feels like a second family.

What I love most about my job is that it’s all about people. Over the years, I’ve built so many meaningful connections, shared countless moments of laughter, and had the privilege of supporting individuals through some of the most important chapters of their lives. Being able to brighten someone’s day, offer comfort, or simply be there when they need you, that’s what makes this work so deeply fulfilling for me and for our whole team and for me.

If you’re looking for a home where your loved one will be welcomed with warmth, compassion, and genuine care, Meadow Rose is a place where they will be treated with dignity, kindness, and a true sense of belonging.

I have Level 3 qualifications in health and social care and also Business Administration. The past year I have been making my way up from being an Office Manager in a Nursing Home in my hometown, Leamington Spa.

My passion is to ensure our loved ones get a loving and healthy home as they reach their elderly days and are no longer able to look after themselves in the way they used to. I am a strong believer that we should give back to those who once gave to us.

About my journey in Macc Care Group:
It all started in December 2014, when I got my bank staff contract in the Domestic Department.
Since then, I have worked continuously for Meadow Rose, taking every day as a new challenge and opportunity to prove myself and help my colleagues, to do my best for our residents.
Working at Meadow Rose, it has not always been easy, going through challenges and hard times (especially the Covid-19 period), but what I can say is that we all have been supported by our Home Manager, Senior Management, Director's Level, etc, when needed.
Meadow Rose is my second Home. I love being part of the Team, I enjoy every day at work, even when I'm extremely busy. I am proud of my colleagues, and together we are Team Meadow Rose.
