Overall Experience

My husband came to Meadow Rose 4 months ago after a bad experience in a previous home and a 3 month hospital stay. It was a very difficult time for both of us. I have to say from the very first visit I felt this was the right place. The staff are wonderful - patient, kind and professional. He even went out on a day trip which is something I never believed would be possible. The activity team looked after him so well and he had a wonderful time. I'm finally able to relax knowing he is being well cared for. I cannot recommend this Home highly enough.

Overall Experience

I became a volunteer visitor after having such a good experience originally visiting a resident. There is always a warm welcome on entry because of someone on reception which sets the tone. All staff are friendly, helpful and welcoming, Residents are treated with dignity and respect and are given to believe nothing is too much trouble. When speaking to residents They speak very fondly and highly of The carers. Rooms are kept nicely and homely and always clean. Corridors/passages are kept empty to allow for easy passage along them, clean and fresh looking. The manager is friendly and professional and respected, is obviously doing a really good job

Our mom has been in the home for 7 years now. Her care has always been excellent and the staff and Steve, the manager, have been available to speak to. Home is clean and tidy, and mom's room is made comfortable for her needs. Food and drink is good. So, I would recommend the home to others.

My mum has been cared for by Meadow Rose for the past 4 years, and the compassion and support towards mum is fantastic. Mum has had a challenging 4 years with dementia, but I truly trust all staff, nurses and carers with her daily needs. If I do ever have any questions or queries, I find the manager, reception staff and a lot of carers and nurses very approachable, and they will always sort minor issues out very quickly. Thank you for all that you do on a daily basis.

In the 12 months I have had dealings with Meadow Rose, I can only describe the services as 1st class. From the manager down, every member of staff in the home is helpful, friendly, caring and very supportive. The Quarterly Relatives Meetings are very helpful, keeping families involved and informed on upcoming changes. I would say to anyone looking for a nursing home, you will not find anywhere better than Meadow Rose.

I am an old neighbour of my friend and I have found the staff really helpful and kind. Always make us welcome. She is usually comfortable and food is very good. She is always clean and well cared for. I often jokingly tell her I am going to book a room for myself! I am a friend of hers and I was her neighbour.

Meadow Rose are a kind and caring establishment run for the patient benefit rather than corporate grind. The activities are appropriate and and varied - aimed at provoking memories and bringing joy. The staff are caring and hard working. A credit to the organisation. Where any issues do occur residents and relatives are listened to and taken seriously and are dealt with in a timely fashion. Overall we are very happy with the care received.

Our daddy had been in Meadow Rose for 5 and a half weeks. Everyone was so lovely and friendly. They cared for my daddy, making him feel comfy. I cannot think of a nicer place for him to have been. Our daddy went to Heaven on Sunday. I cannot answer facilities as Daddy was in bed on palliative care or activities. But I am sure they would have been great.

I joined Macc Care nearly two decades ago, and it has truly been a remarkable journey. Meadow Rose holds a very special place in my heart, as I have spent almost half of my career here. This home isn’t just a workplace for me, it feels like a second family.

What I love most about my job is that it’s all about people. Over the years, I’ve built so many meaningful connections, shared countless moments of laughter, and had the privilege of supporting individuals through some of the most important chapters of their lives. Being able to brighten someone’s day, offer comfort, or simply be there when they need you, that’s what makes this work so deeply fulfilling for me and for our whole team and for me.

If you’re looking for a home where your loved one will be welcomed with warmth, compassion, and genuine care, Meadow Rose is a place where they will be treated with dignity, kindness, and a true sense of belonging.

Working at Meadow Rose, it has not always been easy, going through challenges and hard times (especially the Covid-19 period), but what I can say is that we all have been supported by our Home Manager, Senior Management, Director's Level, etc, when needed.
