I had nursed my husband at home for 9yrs before I was told he needed 24/7 nursing care so it was very difficult for me to have to hand him over to others to do the nursing. However, it was soon very clear to me that he was having the best of care and I was finally able to relax and be grateful the stress and strain had been taken from me and we could enjoy as much as possible the time left to us.
Thank you for your kind words. We are immensely pleased to know that you had peace of mind while your beloved husband was in our care.

I can't express enough gratitude for the exceptional care my Dad received at Meadow Rose Nursing Home. From the moment we arrived, it felt like a second home. The staff were not just caregivers; they became like family. They treated my Dad with kindness, compassion, and respect, ensuring his comfort and happiness every day. The facility was clean and well-maintained, with a warm and inviting atmosphere. Always asking residents and family what could be done to make it even better than it already is. Visits from Alpacas and Ponies were a real delight for him. If you're looking for a nurturing environment for your loved one, I highly recommend Meadow Rose.

Everyone Meadow Rose, management, carers, staff all go above and beyond to make the residents' lives as normal and happy as possible. They are like one big family, everywhere is always spotlessly clean, the food is great, and they have lovely entertainment and celebration days, even trips out on the train, shopping and for a meal. It's wonderful for the families to know their loved ones are so well cared for.
Thank you for your kind words. It means a lot to our Meadow Rose family.
The stimulation that's provided by the staff with various events which seem to happen daily, is second to none. This is the fourth care home that my relative has been in and by far the best.
Others were rated good and quite frankly were poor. Meadow Rose was rated good when my sister arrived but compared to the others should be rated excellent.
Lovely to have my sister in a permanent home of this standard.
We appreciate your kind words and positive review. We are truly grateful for your feedback and are delighted to hear that you are pleased with the care and services provided to your loved one.
Meadow Rose Care Home is amazing. The staff are lovely and my aunt is having the time of her life. She loves interacting with everyone.
Thank you for your review. Our team works hard to provide friendly and efficient service, and it's wonderful to know that we are meeting your expectations.

Meet the Team (5)

I joined Macc Care nearly two decades ago, and it has truly been a remarkable journey. Meadow Rose holds a very special place in my heart, as I have spent almost half of my career here. This home isn’t just a workplace for me, it feels like a second family.
What I love most about my job is that it’s all about people. Over the years, I’ve built so many meaningful connections, shared countless moments of laughter, and had the privilege of supporting individuals through some of the most important chapters of their lives. Being able to brighten someone’s day, offer comfort, or simply be there when they need you, that’s what makes this work so deeply fulfilling for me and for our whole team and for me.
If you’re looking for a home where your loved one will be welcomed with warmth, compassion, and genuine care, Meadow Rose is a place where they will be treated with dignity, kindness, and a true sense of belonging.

I am the proud mom of four sons, two grandsons and a newly arrived granddaughter.
I live in the local area, which has helped me build lasting, valuable links with the communities to enable me to complete my job role at Meadow Rose.

It all started in December 2014, when I got my bank staff contract in the Domestic Department.
Since then, I have worked continuously for Meadow Rose, taking every day as a new challenge and opportunity to prove myself and help my colleagues, to do my best for our residents.
Working at Meadow Rose, it has not always been easy, going through challenges and hard times (especially the Covid-19 period), but what I can say is that we all have been supported by our Home Manager, Senior Management, Director's Level, etc, when needed.
Meadow Rose is my second Home. I love being part of the Team, I enjoy every day at work, even when I'm extremely busy. I am proud of my colleagues, and together we are Team Meadow Rose.

I am the Customer Relations Manager at Meadow Rose Care Home with experience across the care sector and a personal understanding of how emotional and challenging finding the right care for a loved one can be. I'm passionate about supporting families with compassion, honesty, and reassurance every step of the way.
Outside of work, I’m kept busy by my five children and our dog, who certainly take up most of my spare time. When I do get the chance to relax, I enjoy paddleboarding and spending time on the Isle of Wight.

As a valued member of the Meadow Rose team for 8 years, Sophie has undergone a remarkable journey of growth and development. Her career progression from care assistant to senior care assistant, and ultimately to lead activities coordinator, is a shining example of her dedication and passion for her work. Sophie's academic achievements, including completing her NVQ level 3 in health and social care, further demonstrate her commitment to excellence.
In her personal time, Sophie cherishes moments spent with her family, whether that's browsing car boot sales or attending craft fairs. Her favourite culinary delights include Chinese cuisine and spaghetti bowls.
