The family attended the coronation celebrations at Meadow Rose Nursing Home. The home made sure that residents and their guests were well catered for. The buffet and entertainment were excellent.
Staffing, they need more but the staff who do work here are very good which you can not say about the management and the owners. Once again coming back from the hospital I could not get back to my own room as once again the lifts were not working so I had to stay in someone else's room who was ill in hospital. Then this morning both lifts were still not working. I think they are serviced by a bunch of cowboys and the owners don't seem to care.
Thank you for taking your time to provide us this feedback. I am sorry about your experience on this occasion. We are pleased that we had a meeting that was productive regarding your concern and you understood our clarification that our staff delivered safe care at short notice as you had arrived...
Reception area is clean and well-presented. The reception staff are always friendly, polite and helpful. The rooms are clean and tidy. Care staff are efficient, polite and helpful. The food is excellent and the laundry service is excellent. Management are very efficient and professional. I am very pleased with the care my relative receives at Meadow Rose. It is a happy environment and very well managed. Thanks to all.
Mom is more settled now she is here at Meadow Rose Nursing Home. Having her moved from a resident home to a nursing home now that she needs the care was best all-round for Mom. It's like she has had a new bit of life brought back to her. Staff are so helpful, loving and caring. Would recommend to anyone who needs a nursing home.
We came for lunch on Mother's Day and were served a lovely dinner by the staff at a beautifully decorated table in the dining room. The food was delicious and all the staff were very caring, looking after Grandma and all the other residents during lunch. It was lovely to get to spend the meal with Grandma and we really enjoyed it.
It was very enjoyable and my husband really enjoyed himself. The atmosphere with the other residents was relaxing and it was lovely to see everyone enjoy themselves. The room was decorated for Valentine's day.
With hardworking staff from top to bottom, clean, a range of activities and good food.
Mom is happy and we are content that she is well cared for.
Aunt has been a resident for six-plus years. She is suffering from dementia. She is now totally bedridden. She is well cared for, kept clean and comfortable, free from bedsores and treated with love and respect, which is all we, as a family, can ask for. The home is always clean and fresh, with no smells as you get in some homes. The other residents seem happy with the activities for them, and a lovely garden for them to enjoy. The staff are always friendly and cheerful.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review and for your lovely feedback.
Wonderful place. Staff always go over and beyond to make mums experience the very best every day. I feel at peace knowing mom's being looked after. Visiting is a real joy. Always a happy atmosphere. A positive attitude by all staff.
I would recommend viewing Meadow Rose if you want that home-from-home feel.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. All feedback is extremely important to us, and we are delighted to hear that you would recommend Meadow Rose to other care seekers.
The home is very clean, the rooms are decorated to a high standard, and the food is really good which is important.
They really care and take time to get to know the residents, I can honestly recommend this home.
It puts your mind at rest knowing your family members, are safe and happy.
I just wanted to leave a good review for the staff, they go out of their way to help and care for the residents. On Wednesday they took my grandmother and 2 other residents to a department store to do some shopping then for lunch, all 3 of them had an amazing time. A big thank you to staff, what lovely girls to take them there day of thank you!
You are welcome. I am glad that your grandmother and other residents had a wonderful day out.
I cannot thank the staff enough for the love and care they give to my mum every day. She is happy and content in her own little world and told me today “I love it here”. Every member of staff is kind and patient and gives Mum everything she needs to be happy and safe. She loves the food which always smells and looks delicious. The care staff make sure she is washed and dressed and her skin is beautifully moisturised and her clothes are always clean (and are actually her own clothes). Her room is spotless and today I saw the staff have put some new pictures we have brought up in her room. Mum has survived the pandemic thanks to the excellent nursing care she has received at Meadow Rose and I cannot thank everyone enough for keeping her safe, keeping in touch, discussing her care with me and giving her hugs, love and entertainment when we cannot be there. Thank you to the manager and the team.
We are privileged to look after your beloved mother. Your feedback is motivating to our team. Thank you.
The management are excellent in terms of keeping me aware of any changes with the regulations regarding any changes to COVID regulations.
Overall, I think that Meadow Rose is a very well-run and caring establishment with excellent care and support.
We as a family are very happy with my dad's care at Meadow Rose. Everyone from staff to management have always been very helpful and understanding. I would highly recommend this care home to anyone. Thank you very much.
The staff were always caring, helpful and kind. Mom was as happy as she could be and so were we with the care provided.
Can't recommend it highly enough.
My overall experience of Meadow Rose Nursing Home is positive. The staff are always very friendly and keen to help in any way that they can. Contacting reception to arrange visits is never a problem and on the few occasions when my calls are unanswered, I usually get a call back very swiftly. The home goes out of its way to encourage relatives to engage with the management and the staff in order to help things run as smoothly as possible.
My mother was cared for in Meadow Rose for five years. The staff were extremely caring, kind and considerate. Nothing was too much trouble and they would do anything you asked to accommodate any needs or wishes you had. My father joined my mother later in the rooms opposite one another they were extremely happy there and very well-loved by all the staff. Home comes highly recommended.
Many thanks, T B. I am so glad that the Meadow Rose team made a difference to your beloved parents and yourself.
I would like to thank all the management and staff of the Meadow Rose nursing home for their dedication and commitment shown in the recent care given to my dad while he was a resident at the home. The loving care that my dad received was outstanding. It was care shown with love and compassion. The staff were very kind and polite and there was nothing too difficult for them to do to help. The management was equally helpful at all times. I could have called to speak directly to either the management or the nursing team and could always expect an answer. My dad loves everyone there and was very sad when he was leaving. He still speaks highly about everyone and truly missed the entire Meadow Rose nursing home family. Thank you and good luck to everyone.
My husband has been a resident since late March. He is bed-bound so does not use many facilities. He is always clean and shaved. His bed and room is spotlessly clean. All the clothes are clean and stored in drawers and wardrobes. All the staff are pleasant and kind and he enjoys the food.

Meet the Team (5)

I joined Macc Care nearly two decades ago, and it has truly been a remarkable journey. Meadow Rose holds a very special place in my heart, as I have spent almost half of my career here. This home isn’t just a workplace for me, it feels like a second family.
What I love most about my job is that it’s all about people. Over the years, I’ve built so many meaningful connections, shared countless moments of laughter, and had the privilege of supporting individuals through some of the most important chapters of their lives. Being able to brighten someone’s day, offer comfort, or simply be there when they need you, that’s what makes this work so deeply fulfilling for me and for our whole team and for me.
If you’re looking for a home where your loved one will be welcomed with warmth, compassion, and genuine care, Meadow Rose is a place where they will be treated with dignity, kindness, and a true sense of belonging.

I am the proud mom of four sons, two grandsons and a newly arrived granddaughter.
I live in the local area, which has helped me build lasting, valuable links with the communities to enable me to complete my job role at Meadow Rose.

It all started in December 2014, when I got my bank staff contract in the Domestic Department.
Since then, I have worked continuously for Meadow Rose, taking every day as a new challenge and opportunity to prove myself and help my colleagues, to do my best for our residents.
Working at Meadow Rose, it has not always been easy, going through challenges and hard times (especially the Covid-19 period), but what I can say is that we all have been supported by our Home Manager, Senior Management, Director's Level, etc, when needed.
Meadow Rose is my second Home. I love being part of the Team, I enjoy every day at work, even when I'm extremely busy. I am proud of my colleagues, and together we are Team Meadow Rose.

I am the Customer Relations Manager at Meadow Rose Care Home with experience across the care sector and a personal understanding of how emotional and challenging finding the right care for a loved one can be. I'm passionate about supporting families with compassion, honesty, and reassurance every step of the way.
Outside of work, I’m kept busy by my five children and our dog, who certainly take up most of my spare time. When I do get the chance to relax, I enjoy paddleboarding and spending time on the Isle of Wight.

As a valued member of the Meadow Rose team for 8 years, Sophie has undergone a remarkable journey of growth and development. Her career progression from care assistant to senior care assistant, and ultimately to lead activities coordinator, is a shining example of her dedication and passion for her work. Sophie's academic achievements, including completing her NVQ level 3 in health and social care, further demonstrate her commitment to excellence.
In her personal time, Sophie cherishes moments spent with her family, whether that's browsing car boot sales or attending craft fairs. Her favourite culinary delights include Chinese cuisine and spaghetti bowls.
