My father moved into Clifton View after positive word of mouth in the community. The care that has been provided by their care staff is exceptional. The process of moving into the home was an easy process and they were eager to know as much information about my father as possible to enable them to create
a plan for his care. The care staff are very welcoming and approachable, always on hand to provide the care Dad needs. Thank you to all of the team you work exceptionally hard to ensure those within your care are well looked after. I would highly recommend.

My Aunt was a resident at Clifton View from December 2022 until she passed away on April 21st, 2024. The care she received was excellent, she was treated with dignity and compassion at all times. The staff also provided support to me through what was a difficult time. They were all so friendly and professional,
I know they took great care of my Auntie. Facilities are good and her room was always immaculately clean. Thank you to everyone.

My Mum has been at Clifton View since May 2022, initially in recuperation from illness, and since August 2022 as a resident. We have been very happy with the care provided to her as she has settled in well and is happy and confident. We have been particularly impressed with the efforts to keep Mum engaged
in activities despite her reduced mobility.

Our mother chose to move to Clifton View in 2020 when her mobility deteriorated and was unable to self-care. She loved the activities both within the home, craft, singing and seasonal themes, as well as trips out. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff who genuinely seemed to enjoy their job. Thanks
to management, carers, cleaner and maintenance staff. The bacon sandwich start to the day was a highlight.
During 2024 our, very elderly, mother's health deteriorated and the care home staff adapted seamlessly from nudging her to walk to realising more sedentary and bedside care was needed. They had excellent intuition for what was right and we never needed to ask for something because it was already thought about.
They have a good working relationship with the local GP practice, and that seemed to help the management and support needed in the final days. Without flinching for the extra input needed, the care home staff offered exemplary care day and night. They supported us with kindness.

My father is currently staying at Clifton View following a fall at home and treatment in the hospital. From my first visit, the atmosphere was fantastic, and the reception team was helpful and explained the difference between the NHS team and the care home's own staff. Carers always appear happy, and
nothing is ever too much trouble for them. Dad is enjoying his stay and is thinking about staying long-term at the home. He certainly enjoys his full English each morning! Dad is really happy with the care he is receiving, and we, as a family, are so relieved to know he's getting the care he deserves. Thank you to all at Clifton View. Would definitely recommend it!

Been to see my dad today, staff could not do enough for my asking for a wheelchair to take him out, no pressure, was out in the garden at tea-time, he was asked if he wanted to go in for his or they will put it aside for when he goes in. Five-star.

Mum has been here since November, having moved from another home which closed. I chose this one for A) its proximity to me and B) its reviews/rating. I have found it and its staff to be excellent in every way. Mum took a little while to settle after the move but is very happy here. I am kept informed
of everything relating to her health etc. and even though we have had the Covid pandemic I was still able to visit via "the booth" and more recently one-to-one in her room following a negative Covid test for me.

The staff have been absolutely marvellous. They are like an extended family to my mum. They have looked after her with so much care and tenderness, could not ask for more. Speaking of myself, they have always made sure I am okay and looked after and make lovely cups of tea! Whatever I may need they
will make sure it is there - not that I ask very much as I appreciate how busy and hardworking they are.

Current Review Score: 8.8 (8.824)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.8 (8.824) out of 10 for Clifton View Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 6 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.0 out of 5 from 6 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.829 for Clifton View Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (59 Excellents x 5) + (10 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 70 Ratings = 4.829
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 3.995 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Clifton View Care Home is based on 6 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 = 3.6
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 76 registered maximum number of service users is 15.2. 6 Positive Reviews ÷ 15.2 = 0.395
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
