Dad arrived in January and has been treated as one of the family from Day One. The staff are wonderful- hard-working, professional yet friendly and kind. Nothing is too much trouble. His medical needs are efficiently supervised and his day to day care is great. Nothing is too much trouble. Every member
of staff aims to build a relationship with each resident and their love, warmth and friendliness is evident when you enter the building. Everyone is made to feel welcome.
The building is beautiful, built purposely to cater for the needs of those residents with dementia. The rooms are lovely - in fact it's just like a 5 star hotel! The facilities are amazing: beauty area, cinema, plentiful living rooms and lovely outdoor space.
Must not forget the food. It's absolutely delicious and plentiful.
Stapleford View works hard to be part of the local community and the events which are run on a regular basis are excellent.

From our first visit Stapleford View felt welcoming and all the staff we met were very friendly and engaging. It was clean and bright. We felt we had made a good choice moving mum from a different care home. Mum has already shown an improvement after only 1 month

My dad moved to this home in January of this year and we couldn't be more impressed with the care he is receiving
He's a different person since arriving here. He now has a better social calendar than me. He is so well looked after the staff are so incredibly kind, the activities are wonderful and
the food is absolutely incredible.
Dad is looked after so incredibly well, and we feel so reassured that on days when we can't get up to visit we know he is well and his days are full

My Mum has been well cared for in this home for many months now and I am continually in awe of the staff who seem to have an endless amount of respect and patience for her. Their knowledge of treating dementia is amazing and they always seem to be able to bring a smile to her face when she is sad or
worried.
Mum now longer recognises family but seems at peace with herself, her surroundings and the care she receives.

The Review relates to the care of my mum since November 2024. The staff are brilliant and the home is vibrant and uplifting with lots of activities which stimulates residents even if they are not wanting to actively participate. My mum is dressed everyday; is eating (the food is excellent and my father
joins and eats there 2 x a week); and sleeping in her own bed. The difference in her happiness and wellbeing is amazing (having come from a home where she was left sleeping on a settee with little input). Carehome staff communicate well with relatives and let them know if there are problems. Can not recommend enough. The challenge will be as they get busier and fuller in maintaining the excellent standards they have set.

My Mum has been in Stapleford View care home since November being one of the first to move in. The home is bright very clean well equipped and very comfortable. The staff are very caring patient and lift the residents spirt, adapting to mums changing needs quickly. The food is good with plenty of choice
and cater for there likes and dislikes, mums eating things she's never eaten before. There is always lots of activities going off from films jigsaws, colouring, exercises, making things the list goes on.
They are very good at including friends and relatives doing bingo, fairs, gardening club, always celebrating special occasion.also having regular family meetings keeping us informed what is happening.
We had some friends come to the Summer fair last week, when leaving she said to me it feels like one big happy family and I think that says it all.

The care home has been on a journey. Conditions have improved significantly over the period I have had concerns over this period, and they weren't always dealt with swiftly, but again, things have improved. Staffing is now more stable, and communication has also improved. Recently, another activities
team has been appointed, and so this has improved the lives of the residents. This needs to be sustained. My mum has recently had her room refurbished, which looks great!

My friend is in Connect House for rehab. Read reviews - not good.
1st visit was very clean and welcoming, light, bright and airy. All residents are clean & tidy, very good. 1 problem, no drinks available for residents is obvious.
2nd visit was all very good. My friend is 2 weeks not able to stand,
now walking with frame. In between meals drinks available plus ice lollys.
Best place I've ever been in. All staff very friendly.

My mother in law has been a resident of connect house for several months. She is now on end of life and has been fortunate enough to remain at this facility.
Throughout her stay, my mother in law (MIL) has been treated with respect, love and first class care. Her dignity has been respected and preserved,
which is a comfort to us as a family.
Although we live quite a few miles away, the staff have kept us informed of any changes in my MIL's health.
My MIL is on a soft food diet, but such is the skill of the catering staff, the food looks and is presented as if it is whole food. The artistry is astounding.
We see the care staff as friends and have been told we can visit at any time, which is reassuring at the end of life stage.
The facility is kept spotlessly clean and there are regular activities to keep the residents amused.
We would like to thank the care facility manager for all she has done for my MIL. She really has gone above and beyond in helping us at this difficult time.

Stay away! If you really love your loved one Do not put them here, my Nan was here for a year but sadly passed last week!!
My Nan was neglected on several occasion, left alone for days / weeks - left soiled- no management available - absolute waste of time the only staff who were brilliant were the
receptionist who knew this was a repeat problem.. cold food, day and night- my nan only had sandwiches and pasta for 1 year..
Then left alone for us to see her starving. See my full review on another platform with pictures of my nans belongings being dumped in a bag with a plant pot and empty crisp packet my nan ate a month prior - also a cleaning cloth?? Disgusting!!
Can you believe the management never contacted us or returned any calls in the whole time my nan was in hospital- due to the neglect from this Connect house - This place needs to be closed down.!
Take a walk in the showers and you will see the hygiene on the shower curtains - excrement everywhere.

Thank you for your feedback. I'm disappointed that you feel we have not met your expectations. Unfortunately, as the concerns have not been raised with us directly, we are unable to respond specifically to them. The care home had a dedicated cook who works tirelessly to ensure that all of our residents dietary requirements are met. Your grandmother had a wide variety of vegetarian meals available to her daily and would often indulge in these which is evidenced by her weight being within normal parameters for the duration of her admission with us. Staff built a warm relationship with your grandmother and spent time with her communicating in her native language which she felt more comfortable with. As previously stated I can confirm that I spoke on several occasions to the next of kin regarding care updates. It is a shame that the concerns were not raised with the home during your grandmothers 14 month stay with us. All feedback will be used positively for service development.

My mother was admitted to this care home for a six-week respite stay with the promise that she would receive support to improve her physical and mental health. We were assured that the staff would work to reduce her reliance on medication, help her develop healthier habits, and prepare her to return
home with improved wellbeing. Unfortunately, our experience did not match these assurances. Despite being promised emotional support and access to regular activities to help manage her anxiety and depression, none of this was delivered. There was a troubling lack of engagement from staff, and no meaningful activities were offered to support her mental health. Instead of receiving encouragement and care, my mother felt isolated and neglected. What was intended as a short-term, supportive intervention became a deeply distressing and traumatic period. Her anxiety and depression worsened significantly, and rather than returning home as planned she remained in the care home. Would not recommend.

Thank you for your feedback. I'm disappointed that you feel we have not met your expectations. Unfortunately, as the concerns have not been raised with us directly, we are unable to respond specifically to them. I can confirm that we do have a dedicated wellbeing team that work in the home and cover a 7 day period meaning that wellbeing activities are available for all residents to access 7 days per week. There are several notice boards located around the home displaying the evidence of this. It is a shame that you did not feel able to raise any of the above concerns directly with the home for the duration of your mother's 14-month stay with us. Lack of communication from staff and management, no call back received. There was many concerns regarding My nan's health and overall care, and welfare which was not addressed no matter how many times we approached the nurse in charge, calls were also made to speak to a manager to complain. Due to the
lack of care my Nan was rushed into hospital and was there for 3 weeks, she sadly passed away on the 15.5.2025.
We have been to collect her belongings today and were very upset to see that everything had been put into black bags like rubbish. They were her belongings, sentimental value with pictures ect.
They had put her flower plant containing mud in with her clothes, half eaten crispy packets, dirty tissue ect deeply upsetting. Lack of respect, no dignity one thing comes to mind how are residents cared for and treated at the home?
I would not recommend connect house as no family should have to experience what our family have.

Thank you for your feedback. I'm disappointed that you feel we have not met your expectations. Unfortunately, as the concerns have not been raised with us directly, we are unable to respond specifically to them. As a care provider it is not realistic to expect us to contact each individual member of every family to pass information on. This is something that we would expect the next of kin to do. I can confirm that I spoke on several occasions to the next of kin regarding care updates. Again, as previously stated it is a shame that the concerns were not raised with the home during your grandmothers 14 month stay with us, there is a copy of the complaints policy located in every bedroom within the home for both residents and relatives to access. In my honest opinion, Connect House treat
all residents equally and to their own individual needs. Out of ten, I would give them 20. Nothing is ever too much. I can't thank them enough for what they have done for my mum's needs.

My father was allocated a bed through City Care for supposed rehab from a hospital admission to enabling him to get home in being independent again. However what with a rushed failed discharge that lasted less than 24hours, loosing over 10% body weight, grade 2 pressure ulcers and having 6 falls in
less than 12weeks I would advocate that family members refuse the bed admission to this care home. Communication from City care was constantly poor, the family was labelled as being akward by the management when questions were asked on the care planning for our father. Emails were not answered regarding lost property and damaged clothing. His physical and mental well-being has certainly been affected, he is currently in a very different care home that epitomises safety, compassion and empathy however I feel the damage has been done.

Reply from Deborah Redshaw, Manager at Wollaton View Care Home

The gentleman was in a room very close to the staff, had a PIR sensor to alert staff to movement, we cannot stop falls just respond as soon as possible. City Care did not feel he required one to one care, there Team would have authorised if they felt this was required. The gentleman was encouraged to spend time in the dining room for meals and in the lounge for his safety, but he would request to return to his bedroom. The gentleman was receiving a fortified diet, but burning off calories as wandering and unsettled day and night. The Grade 2 sore was caused by shearing not pressure. When the discharge failed we agreed to take him back even though he returned after our cut off time for admissions. We the care home provided the care plan once Power of Attorney was received. We cannot provide without permission.Lost item discussed with Son, did not return with the gentleman after his discharge home. The clothing was discussed, the staff said it was ripped by the gentleman self-removing the shirt

Dad was admitted to Wilford View Care Home in October 2024 following discharge from hospital. He has found adjusting to his new surroundings and full time care difficult; however, the staff have always been polite, respectful, caring , friendly and accommodating of his changing needs. Similarly to
the family they have been great support ; always making time to answer questions and keeping us update on what has been happening in his life.
The facilities are clean, airy and very welcoming and the building has good access, parking and security.
