Overall Experience

Mum moved to Dovebourne after carefully considering several care homes, and from the moment she arrived, she received such a warm welcome. She was greeted with a beautiful cake and hamper and made to feel at home straight away.

She chose a lovely ground-floor room overlooking the gardens, which feels so homely. She absolutely loves her double bed and says it's so comfortable!

The staff are wonderful - so kind, friendly and caring, and always there in an instant if Mum needs anything. They encourage her to join in with activities, which has helped her settle and make some lovely friends.

The food is fantastic too! I've stayed for lunch and the chefs are fabulous. Everything is freshly prepared, healthy and delicious.

Most importantly, Mum is so happy, and that means the world to us. I no longer feel worried or stressed knowing she is safe, settled and cared for.

A huge thank you to everyone at Dovebourne for looking after Mum so beautifully. We couldn't be happier!

My mother in law had a short stay in Hatton until her passing after a few weeks , however the staff were very caring and wonderful in that short period. The care home was incredibly clean and tidy and I'm sure my mother in law would have been happy there .

Mum moved into Dovebourne when it first opened and was able to choose her lovely room on the ground floor with access to the garden. This was really important to ensure she could bring some of her own plants and continue to tend to them herself.
Despite a few "wobbles" , thanks to the caring and understanding of the staff, she is now settled, and very much a part of the Home.
As Family it brings much reassurance to know that Mum is safe, cared for and now engaging in meaningful activities that she enjoys, with gentle encouragement and enthusiasm from the staff.
Dovebourne being a brand new care facility.. continues to offer more and more.. a recent first Summer Fair brought together residents,Staff and the local community.

Accommodation and communal areas are always clean and welcoming an it is a pleasure to visit Mum.

Respite stay for 1 week - 24/6 - 01/07

We had a lovely welcome from the staff upon arrival & whilst settling mum into her room, another 3 staff came in to welcome her. The room was spotless & the room had access to outside and the lovely garden. I don't think the member of staff who was looking after activities started until the week after (reason only scored as satisfactory). Would definitely recommend to others, overall excellent.

The staff at Dovebourne have worked so hard to make Mum feel welcome and help her settle. It has been a huge change for her but the team have been so kind and supportive. This kindness has also helped us as family to adjust.

We brought my mom to Dovebourne after she had stayed at a different care home for a short period of time. Mom settled straight away. Every time we go she's happy and tells me how lovely all the staff are. It's a beautiful place clean and very welcoming. I have never seen her so relaxed after having a few weeks of change. The staff are so helpful and always have time to listen to the residents and the visitors. I would highly reccomend Dovebourne to anyone looking for rest bite or somewhere as a permant home for their loved one. I can't thank them enough for their kindness and support.

My mother recently moved into this brand-new care home with all the best amenities and surroundings. With much support, care, patience and understanding she is settling in really well. The care staff understand Alzheimers disease and completely take care of mum. They never correct her, dispute anything she says, only offer a kind ear and an arm to support, a smile and join her world however confusing it may be. I can't praise Mel, the manager and her staff enough. Well done and thankful.

Best thing since sliced bread. I am so well looked after. The staff are absolutely wonderful. The food is brilliant and if you don't like it you can have something else. I've only got to ask and everything is done for me. My family have peace of mind knowing that i'm being so well looked after.

My husband has just spent two weeks in Respite Care at Dovebourne Care Home. He has been looked after very well indeed, with professionalism and kindness shown throughout by all members of the Staff Team. It is a beautiful Care Home and the Management has established high standards of care. We hope to have the opportunity to return.
