Leon has worked for Quantum Care for many years starting as a Carer in 2003 and working his way up to a Home Manager position. All he wanted from a young age was to look after people. He has undertaken various training courses in Management and Leadership which has given him the knowledge and direction to be effective in his job role. He believes that people should be cared for holistically, taking into account what makes them who they are. He takes pride in championing others to be the best they can be in their job role. It is important to him that he develops meaningful relationships with residents, staff, relatives and other stakeholders to facilitate working in partnership to benefit everyone involved with the home. He sees himself as an advocate for the residents making sure that they receive the best care possible, especially those who can no longer communicate their needs or those living with dementia.
The Customer Relations Manager role allows me to let the community know about the home, build community links and welcome new residents to Elm View. My career history is in Customer Service, Sales and Business Support Management. I enjoy visiting sunny destinations and exercise, especially running. Elm View is a beautiful home and I am proud to be part of the quantum team.
The Chef Manager organises every aspect of the catering operation and provides a safe, nutritious, quality service to our residents using freshly produced food. With a hands-on role, leading a team, they provide a quality catering service and help create a warm and friendly atmosphere for our residents. Working with our residents they help to create menus to meet their needs and suit their tastes.
The Administrator will focus on the smooth running of the home; in whatever area they may be needed. From greeting visitors to recruiting, the Administrator is present in many aspects of life in the home, even if you don’t always see them! To be successful in the role, our Administrators have to be flexible and calm, able to multi-task and always keen to take on a new challenge. It’s often the Administrator who brings the IT skills to a home, helping them to keep everything organised. Above that though, Administrators are communicators, able to speak confidently and listen closely to everyone from Managers and Care Workers to visitors and residents.
