Stacey brings a wealth of experience having worked in elderly care for 14 years having begun my career as a care assistant. She has developed her career within different organisations and within various roles and has been lucky enough to spend 5 years of her career in commissioning services.
She has a passion for residents living fulfilled lives and ensuring that her colleagues are delivering exceptional person-centred care.
The best part of her day is walking around and seeing residents and colleagues happy and you will often see her participating in a wellbeing activity or 2! Vicky is qualified as a registered nurse in 2008, prior to that working as a healthcare assistant in the social sector and the NHS.
Working at the hospital Vicky trained in a variety of wards including respiratory, gastrointestinal, general surgery and post-operative recovery.
Vicky then changed direction in her career and returned to social care working in a local nursing home before commencing her role as deputy manager at Highwood and is looking forward to working with a team that promotes and delivers person-centred care to the highest standard
Richard is a hospitality professional with over 20 years experience in hotels and restaurants.
He has a passion for seasonal and local produce; he enjoys using quality ingredients in his cooking.
With a fine balance of traditional and contemporary cuisines he loves to serve up meals that bring comfort and nourishment.
Richard is looking forward to finding out what our residents like to eat, and to serve them tasty meals that contribute to their wellbeing during their stay at Highwood.
At the start of this year Summer completed her Level 3 NVQ in Events Planning/Management and is looking forward to using this qualification and the skills developed through this to cater for residents and plan activities to best suit their likes and interests.
Summer prides herself on my customer service and her ability to plan and provide the best experience possible - I am looking forward to working alongside the team and residents, and plan to have a strong connection built within the local community to the home.
Morgan is a Wellbeing Coordinator at Highwood Care Home. He has a passion for living a full meaningful life and will be working towards enriching the lives of our residents. Morgan has lots of experience organising crafts and activities as well as 8 years in the care sector.
Since moving to North Devon with her family nearly 8 years ago Holly has gained great experience working both in hospitality and the commercial housekeeping sector. Holly always strives for perfection and likes to add a bit of sparkle to everything she does, ensuring a clean and welcoming environment for everyone who resides and visits the home.
Chris is ex-forces (Army) having served 8 years. After serving his time in HM Forces I have had many years experience in general maintenance. He has also been involved in a few boat building projects as well as many one off garden furniture requests. In Chris's spare time he is a keen large scale model builder and enjoy walking our beautiful coastal paths that we are lucky to have. My motto is “If I cant fix it I can build it”.
Following university, Penelope became a carer which inspired her to achieve her Nursing qualification at St Bartholomews School of Nursing and subsequently worked at The Royal London Hospital. Before moving to Devon, where she is a Registered General Nurse at Highwood Care Home.
