Claire Skinner is the Home Manager at Kings Hill Care Home, bringing over 20 years of experience in leading care homes and supporting both residents and teams to flourish. With the home’s opening on the horizon, Claire is already focused on creating a warm, welcoming environment where residents feel truly at home, and colleagues feel supported to deliver exceptional care.

Passionate about building a thriving community, Claire is dedicated to establishing strong local connections and nurturing meaningful relationships with residents, their families, and visitors of all ages. She believes in creating an inclusive, vibrant home where everyone feels a genuine sense of belonging.

Claire is committed to ensuring Kings Hill Care Home quickly becomes a full and flourishing home, with a long-term vision of it being recognised as one of the leading care homes in Kent. Her approach is rooted in celebrating each resident as an individual, while fostering a positive and supportive culture for her team.

Having worked as a registered home manager for two decades, Claire takes great pride in delivering high-quality, person-centred care. She was drawn to Lovett Care by its strong family values and shared commitment to excellence, and is excited to lead Kings Hill Care Home from its very beginning, welcoming its first residents and building a home the whole community can be proud of.

Outside of work, Claire enjoys spending time with her husband, three children and her dog, Dennis. She loves dining out and making the most of her time away, with holidays and trips to new places.

Caren Job Title: Home Administrator
Caren

Recently employed as the administrator at Kings Hill Care Home, I am looking forward to the home opening and assisting with the smooth running of the home and being part of a busy, caring, and people-focused environment.

Before joining Kings Hill Care Home, I spent over eight years working for a local independent care home. I began as a part-time administrator while my children were at school and later progressed to the role of Home Administrator.

Earlier in my career, before having my children, I worked as a payroll officer for an advertising agency in London.

I find my role both challenging and rewarding, with every day bringing something different. I especially value the opportunity to interact with residents, their families, and our staff.

In February 2024, I was proud to pass my Level 2 qualification in Awareness of Mental Health Problems.

Outside of work, I love spending time with my family and our three dogs. My daughter also has a horse, and we enjoy supporting her at showjumping events. I also enjoy fitness classes and spending time with my friends

My husband and I love to travel and eat out whenever we can.

I am a Regional Manager at Lovett Care, supporting homes to deliver high-quality, person-centred care. My background is rooted in the care and clinical sector, where I have developed a strong understanding of both operational excellence and compassionate leadership. I work closely with teams to ensure our services are safe, effective, and truly feel like home for our residents.

I was inspired to work in care because of a genuine passion for making a difference in people’s lives. Supporting individuals at some of their most vulnerable moments, while helping them maintain dignity, independence, and comfort, is incredibly meaningful to me.

What I enjoy most about my role is empowering teams to grow and succeed. Seeing colleagues develop their skills, build confidence, and deliver outstanding care gives me a great sense of pride. I also value the relationships we build with residents and families—these connections are at the heart of everything we do.

I am particularly passionate about creating a “home-from-home” environment, improving resident wellbeing, and ensuring families feel supported and involved. I have a strong interest in enhancing the lived experience for residents, including reducing loneliness and promoting meaningful engagement.

Some of my career highlights include progressing into a regional leadership role, supporting services through periods of growth and improvement, and building strong, values-driven teams that consistently deliver high standards of care.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family, relaxing with good food and company, and maintaining a positive balance between work and home life. I believe these moments help me bring energy and perspective into my role.
