Overall Experience
We took Mum for respite on 04//03/26 but she fell and broke her hip which led to a longer stay during which she had further falls and developed a bowel infection that led to sepsis.
Our distressing and worrying experince was made more challenging and frustrating by the management and nursing team at the time who did not provide the co ordinated communication and clinical oversight we expected and needed.
Whilst many of the carers are kind and well meaning there was no consistent point of contact with senior staff and overall the care was variable especially at weekends.
Throughout mums stay on Denton there were multiple threats to her well being due to the disturbed behaviour of other residents with behavioural and psychological symptoms of dementia.

We chose Lancing Beach because of the sea views and stunning building but sadly we lost trust and had to remove Mum to a safer more established care setting on 07//06/26. I wish Lancing Beach all the best with their development.

This was my first visit to see my sister at Lancing Beach Care home. Apart from me there were other members of the family with me. From the initial welcome at Reception to meeting many of the staff members we were very impressed with the kindness shown to us and my sister. We were able to have some space to ourselves and were provided with refreshments. The quality of the food/ drink was lovely. Staff went above and beyond to make our visit a very enjoyable one.

Thank you Jacqui and your amazing team for making Mum so welcome at Lancing Beach. You've given a fantastic level of care and support to us all and Mum is very happy in her new home. I always feel welcome when I visit and the home is spotlessly clean, bright and has a cheerful and positive atmosphere. Mum enjoys the variety of activities and entertainment, but especially the musical ones. She hasn't once asked to go home!

From the initial enquiry to Lancing Beach Care home we have had nothing but outstanding communication and service. Our intention was respite but we have been so impressed with the love, care and compassion that has been shown to my mother that we are in the process of making it long stay. The environment is gorgeous with stunning sea views from the communal areas. It is a joy to visit and see my mother alert and interacting. James ensures lots of fun and games, Danny ensures her medical needs are met with a fabulous nursing team led by Blessing. The food is lovely with a great catering team with plenty of choice but most of all there is clear evidence that the staff enjoy their jobs from Dan the maintenance man to Jackie the manager who is pro active in ensuring she knows all of the residents. As a family this was a big decision which was made easy by Ali as first port of call and guidance from Suzi the finance manager. Overall, we are extremely happy and highly recommend Lancing Beach

We can't thank the staff enough for the love and care given to our Dad. He was happy and comfortable whilst he was there , sadly not for very long as he sadly passed away. The home is beautiful, My dad spent a lot of time sitting in the lounge , his favourite place and would have many visitors and chats with the staff who got to know him. Thank you again xxxxx

Lancing Beach is a very special place. This is what your hopes and dreams are for your loved ones. The dementia care is individual and full of dignity and respect for the person they were and who they are now. The entertainment is stimulating and feels like family fun crossed with cruise ship shows. My loved one has thrived since moving here and I can't thank everyone enough for the home they have created for them.

My mother has just moved to Lancing Beach from
another care home, which we were very unhappy with.
Suzie & Jackie couldn't have made it easier , they have been brilliant, nothing was to much trouble, it was such an easy transition . We are so happy with the care she is receiving, the staff are all lovely and the home itself is beautiful.
My mother recently celebrated a birthday, with a beautiful buffet laid on by the home , the staff couldn't of been kinder & made us all feel so welcome , it was such a lovely afternoon spent as a family with our mum.
We feel very lucky that we found Lancing Beach, and we are looking forward to spending more time

with her in such a welcoming environment.

My wife Shirley has Alzeimer's and is very confused, anxious and unsettled. The home provide morning and afternoon activities which help to distract her and keep her occupied, she has always been an active person, not one for sitting around so the activities help with that. The staff are very friendly and helpful and always make the effort to engage with her and get a smile, and unknown to her, they monitor and record what she does, how she sleeps and how she eats so if I have a question they have the info directly. When Shirley first moved into the home she was on the basic medication from when I cared for her at home, the care home have been able, with the help of the GP and Psychiatric team, who review this weekly, to improve on that. The home is open to visitors all of the time which allows myself and family to visit at times that fit into everyday life, it is also dog friendly.

Lancing Beach is an amazing care home with a warm and relaxing atmosphere. All the team are very professional and welcoming and go the extra mile to make residents and visitors feel special and at home; it gave us peace of mind knowing that our Dad, who was terminally ill was being well looked after having gone in for respite and then becoming a permanent resident. All the rooms are beautiful, having either a sea or garden view, perfectly situated across from Lancing beach. Unfortunately Dad passed away after 6 weeks but we feel very lucky knowing that was spent with wonderful people who cared for him like he was one of their family and for that we couldn't be more grateful

I have travelled the world and I have been lucky enough to visit Buckingham Palace, the care I have received in Lancing Beach is exceptional. I have never had treatment like it. I am amazed at what has been achieved in a short space of time.

This care home is amazing. The staff are wonderful and there are lots of activities happening weekly. The food is lovely and family are made very welcome. It is lovely to see my step mum enjoying herself. One of the lovely carers braided her hair today, that extra care is heartwarming. Thankyou. Sharon, residents stepdaughter.
