My Aunty lived at Lark View for the final 10 months of her life following a fall. The care provided by the excellent staff enabled her to settle quickly, and return fully to being the joyful lady she had previously been. She made new friends, and probably had a better social life than during her last year of independence! We were always treated extremely well when visiting, enjoying excellent lunches in a private dining room. Communal lounge areas are very pleasant, with a good balance of carers organising activities while allowing residents time to be together or simply enjoy personal peace and quiet. As Aunty's health declined the level of care she received could not have been better on all levels, including the honest and open way in which the home communicated with me. Aunty was, in the end, blessed to pass peacefully among people whom she knew truly loved and respected her. Lark View carers and administrators will always have my deepest gratitude.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a heartfelt review. It was a true privilege to care for your aunty and to see her happy and settled. Your kind words mean so much to our entire team, and we remain deeply grateful to have been part of her final months.
My fiercely independent, elderly aunt suffered a fall a year ago, which led to her needing full time care and Lark View was chosen as it stood out from other care homes visited in almost every way. It is newly built, with excellent facilities, and the care received was of the highest quality. As I am not local and was unable to visit my aunt very often, I was always pleased to receive clear, detailed information from staff members when I rang to ask how she was doing and I was confident that she was being treated with respect, dignity and compassion. When I was able to visit, my family and I were able to dine with my aunt in a separate dining room, and the food was very good. I was very impressed with the Manager, who was both experienced and compassionate and he had certainly employed an excellent team of carers. I was notified very quickly on two occasions when my aunt's health deteriorated and more recently when she died, and I am deeply grateful for the care she received.
Thank you for taking the time to share such a thoughtful and heartfelt review. It was a privilege to care for your aunt, and it means so much to know that you felt reassured she was treated with dignity, respect and compassion, particularly when distance made it difficult for you to visit...
Refreshments were offered during my visit.
Thank you so much for your lovely review. We are delighted to hear how impressed you were with the home and that you found our team so welcoming and supportive during your visit. Your kind comments mean a great deal to the whole team.
Thank you for the amazing care you are able to provide. You're making a great difference. I look forward to more nurses arriving so agency use is not so high.

I visit regularly with my young daughter. The staff are so welcoming and kind. They always ensure that we are comfortable and listen carefully to any concerns. The facilities are absolutely outstanding. I know that my mum is receiving an exceptional level of care. We feel extremely fortunate.
Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback. We are grateful that you took the time to share your experience with us. Your kind words mean a great deal to our whole team and we really appreciate your support.
We have really appreciated the care and support shown to Dad over the last 9 months whilst he was at Lark View. From the outset we felt sure it was the best place for him to be. Staff are friendly, kind, professional and caring. The home is clean, well kept and the facilities great including the lovely shared spaces and gardens. Having experienced my mum wearing clothes that did not belong to her despite labelling at another home, this never happened at Lark View and staff always addressed any questions we had.Initially Dad was able to enjoy the activities and we made good use of the lounge when Dad was able to get out and about. It would be lovely to see residents getting together there as well to socialise. However, even when Dad was bed ridden, he was delighted to be visited by the therapy ponies to his room! We want to thank Rosie, Caroline and all the team on Bloom for looking after Dad, checking his wishes and enabling Dad's passing to be as peaceful as it could be

I was visiting an elderly friend. The general atmosphere and the personal care shown to our friend and other patients was so very reassuring, as I too was treated with great courtesy. Simply a wonderful and loving service, thank you!

All the staff are so friendly, helpful and cheerful.
We spent a whole afternoon in Lark View Care Home and felt very welcome and well looked after and we could see clearly that our friend was very well looked after by people who care. Thank you for looking after our friend! We are reassured that she is in the best place.

We are pleased to hear that you could see how well your friend is being cared for, as this is at the heart of everything we do. My Mother was a resident at Lark View for the last year of her life. She passed away recently, and I wanted to share our family's experience during her end of life care here. Firstly, our family is so relieved we didn't opt for hospice care. Mum was so comfortable, kept pain-free and had all the sweet, loving faces around her she had known from the very beginning. During her final days, the support we received was incredible. The team provided comfort care not just to my Mother, but to our entire family, ensuring a peaceful transition. While saying goodbye was incredibly difficult, the care provided by Lark View allowed her to pass with peace and dignity. I highly recommend this care home to anyone seeking compassionate care for their loved ones. We are forever grateful for their presence and guidance, and cannot thank them enough for the love that we continue to receive two weeks after Mum passed.
Thank you, Karen, for sharing such heartfelt feedback. It truly means a great deal to us. You and your brother became part of our Lark View family from the beginning, and your presence, dedication, and support throughout your mum's time with us were remarkable. You were there every single day, and...
From the moment we visited Lark View Care Home, we knew we would be transferring our mother there. Everyone who works there always has a friendly smile on their face and are so very welcoming. The garden areas are calming and peaceful, meticulously planned so that everyone can enjoy maximum sensory experiences. Lark View is elegantly furnished throughout, including our mother's bedroom and en-suite wet room. There are many activities to enhance our mother's physical, social and emotional well-being. The food offered is just delicious. We often take our mother down to the ground floor lounge when we visit, whereby we always enjoy a luxury hot chocolate, latte or other hot/cold drinks, along with freshly cooked cakes!! Lark View is just the most beautifully nurturing place with amazingly dedicated staff that really care about making a difference to the lives of all residents, including our mother. It's lovely to see the close relationships she has formed, and how happy she is. Thank you.
Thank you for taking the time to write such a fantastic review. Knowing that your first visit to Lark View gave you immediate confidence in choosing our home for your mother is something we value deeply, and we are truly grateful for your trust. Thank you so much for your lovely review. Its great to hear from you and read your kind words. It was truly a pleasure looking after your mum, and we will always remember both her and your family with great fondness. Knowing that you felt supported and welcomed means a lot to the whole team, and we are deeply touched to have been part of your mums journey.
From my first visit to Lark View my family and I were made so welcome. My mother was only a resident for a few months but the care she received was exemplary, the staff took time talking to her which she enjoyed. She made friends with other residents and looked forward to joining them in the dining room each day. During my mother's final week at Lark View the compassion shown to her and our family was far more than we expected.
Thank you for your kind words. We are so glad your mother felt welcome, enjoyed the company of others, and was cared for with compassion. It was a privilege to support her and your family during her time with us.
I viewed a range of care homes in the area and instantly knew Lark View was where I would be happy to place my husband.
Lark View provides such a warm welcome and staff are caring, compassionate and professional. They have been focused on understanding his needs and getting to know him and what makes him feel relaxed and happy.
Nothing is too much trouble.
His room is perfect and has beautiful views which includes a period house and an oast house. Cleanliness is a high priority and good support is given to keep his room a special and comfortable place to enjoy.
My husband often tells staff just how much he appreciates them and how kind they are.
I have no hesitation in highly recommending the facilities, management and staff at Lark View.
Thank you for your lovely feedback. We are delighted to know your husband feels at ease and well cared for at Lark View. It's a pleasure to support him, and your kind words mean a lot to our team.
Having spent a couple of years caring for my mum who has dementia I knew I would need to find a care home for her and was dreading it. I visited quite a few and then I visited Lark View and knew it would be the best fit for her. The home is beautiful and the staff have been so kind and caring. The manager, reception staff, floor manager and carers have all been wonderful and are so caring and kind to my mum. I also get looked after when I go and visit! The transition to care was handled very well and my mum settled in quicker than I could have imagined. It is not what anyone wants, to take their mum into a care home having made that decision for her rather than her making it herself. However, with the care she is receiving she is actually happier and I feel safe in the knowledge that she is being looked after and is as happy as she can be. In addition, she has some complex nutritional requirements and these have been addressed well. I can highly recommend Lark View!
Thank you so much for sharing your positive experience with Lark View. It is fantastic to hear that your mum has settled in so well and is happy and thriving here. It's heart-warming to hear that you felt your mum's transition into a care home was handled well, we look forward to continuing our support to both you and mum. I will share your kind words with the team.
I visited a number of care homes looking for somewhere for my uncle in early June 2024. As I live 3 hours away I was very concerned about finding the best home for him with no local knowledge but Lark View has such a homely, caring feel to it, I knew almost instantly that I'd found the right place for him. My uncle moved in just over a week later and thankfully he totally agreed with my decision. The staff have been caring and compassionate from the start as you would hope and expect. The facilities are good and he's made friends and joined in with pretty much every activity going. He's happy, settled and I know he's being cared for. Every single visitor he has had has made a point of telling me how wonderful they think Lark View is and how at home he seems. It's made the transition from independent living to needing that extra TLC much easier for my uncle and the wider family. We can thoroughly recommend Lark View.
Thank you so much for sharing your positive experience with Lark View. We are truly delighted to hear that your uncle has settled in so well and that our home has met your expectations. It is heartwarming to know that he is happy, engaged, and receiving the care he needs. We sincerely appreciate...
I have nothing but praise for Lark View. Their high-quality care, dedication and compassion have transformed the wellbeing of my mother who is now enjoying life after an unhappy period. The home is clean, safe and welcoming. I highly recommend the home and the team that work there.
Thank you for your review. I will share your kind feedback with the team.
Moving Mum to Lark View, her 6th care home in 7 years, has been life-changing for her! I cannot praise it enough, from reception, through to carers, the chef & managers. The decor & facilities are beautiful & spotless. It is welcoming, caring, individual & well-organised. On arrival Mum was taken off most medication, appearing to be over-sedated. She has gone from being uncommunicative, depressed, drowsy & barely eating, to chatty, happy, engaging in activities & loving her food again. Meals are inspirational, appetising & served in restaurant style, with 1:1 when needed. Time is spent matching outfits with jewellery to make her feel like a queen & the hour spent with the hairdresser has taken years off her. On my first visit (5 hours!) I was encouraged to be part of everything she does 'like one big family'. Visits are followed up with an email offering a chance to ask questions or raise queries. After only 3 weeks here, Mum is the happiest we've seen her for literally a few years!
Thank you so much for your review, it is lovely to hear we have made such an impact on your mum's life so quickly. I will share your comments with our team.
Everyone has made my father so welcome. He has new friends. Has joined in new things. Not only do I feel, believe, and know that my father is cared about, as an individual, by absolutely everyone, but I feel cared about too.
Thank you so much for your kind words; this feedback is incredibly motivating for all of us here at Lark View. We are so pleased you are comforted by the service we provide and Dad feels at home here.
