Wonderful location with a beautiful garden. The care home itself is immaculate with lovely rooms. The staff are extremely caring and attentive. I visited my father for lunch which was delicious. The facilities are numerous including a hairdresser and chiropodist that come and visit the residents

What a beautiful care home. From the moment you arrive you feel at home. The grounds are stunning and the staff are all wonderful. It smells lovely everywhere (unlike many care homes) & nothing is too much trouble. My Dad is very happy. The food is really delicious and you feel like you're on holiday in a 5* hotel. The rooms are lovely and spacious. Nice large beds that do everything a hospital bed does and every resident wears a wrist "watch" which they can press when they need help. The staff react immediately (more than I can say for the hospital sadly!) A hairdresser visits every Tuesday (no extra cost) & a chiropodist also is available. The ladies can have their nails done. All the staff are so engaging from the receptionist to the chef, maintenance man and everyone else. I am super impressed and I think the cost is good when you consider the level of accommodation and care you receive. 10/10

If you ever need a part-time receptionist, please let me know!

I was here for respite care whilst my family were on holiday.
Everything was better than I imagined it would be.
All of the staff are wonderful; they made me feel very special, and I was very well looked after. The chefs provide the most wonderful food.

I would happily return, and I recommend Merceode Lodge to everyone.

I cannot recommend Merceode Lodge highly enough. The home is immaculate and provides all the facilities you could possibly wish for your loved ones but more importantly every member of staff is invested in treating the residents with dignity and respect. In the short time my father has been in their care he has shown great improvement in his well being. Nothing is too much trouble and I can sleep soundly in the knowledge that he is receiving excellent care throughout the day and night. I visit daily and have witnessed the efforts that the carers, admin and maintenance staff put in to ensure the residents are happy and settled. The food is excellent and I've frequently seen the chef checking in with residents and guests to make sure they are happy. It is more akin to a five star hotel than a care home. It's a difficult decision to make the move into residential care but I am personally most grateful to all the staff who work so well as a team to meet my father's needs. Thank you!

Visited our friend who is on a respite from leaving hospital stay.
He was happy and had settled in well in only a coupe of days.
I was impressed by the facilities and all the services on offer.
I was able to have lunch with him and it was a really nice way to spend time with him. I have a food intolerance and the staff were very good at dealing with this and provided a lovely meal for me.

The staff I encountered on my visit were friendly and helpful this had contributed to my friend very quickly feeling comfortable and at home in his short stay environment.

We were able to go on holiday and leave mum at Merceode knowing she'd be well cared for. Merceode Lodge exceeded expectations. Mum had a wonderful time in respite care. I would happily recommend Merceode Lodge. The team are excellent - Mum was safe, well cared for, entertained and enjoyed fantastic food. I can't thank the whole team enough- from management, catering, cleaning, to carers - all wonderful. Thank you.

Today I visited a friend who is one of the first residents at this absolutely beautiful Care Home. I have visited many times and have always been greeted by superb staff members who immediately make me welcome, offer refreshments and take me to where I always find my friend seated companionably with other residents in one of lovely cosy common areas. Today I had lunch with her which was very good and beautifully served in the dining area - I always observe that the carers show kindness, patience and respect to the residents.

The first time I visited this Care Home I was amazed at the facilities which I can only compare to a five star hotel. My friend's suite is superb, and of course is spotless, and she has the benefit of French doors looking on to a lovely garden. Sadly my friend has dementia and it is such a relief to know that she is safe and is receiving much kindness and excellent care.

My mother is still living independently with carers, but I recently visited Merceode Lodge to be shown round for a potential move for mum when it becomes appropriate. I received a very friendly and professional welcome and was taken round the building. I was extremely impressed by the standard of rooms, facilities available and value for money that the place offers. It has a lovely, spacious and calm atmosphere and I admire the staff a great deal. Thank you.

My 95 year-old Mum is just coming to the end of a planned 4-week stay at Merceode Lodge. She has absolutely loved her time there, getting involved with the activities and interacting with the staff who all display immense patience and a caring and helpful attitude.
Her room was very well laid out, the bed was comfortable and height adjustable and the bathroom facilities were well-suited to her age..
The food has been of very high quality with lots of variation, and special care has been taken with my Mum's meals as she is diabetic.
Everything is very clean and it's clear that hygiene is taken very seriously
Visitors are welcomed and there is a secure entry and exit system for the safety and security of staff and residents.

I am very happy to recommend Merceode Lodge, with a big thank you to all the staff for their kindness and consideration.

I cannot rate Merceode Care home highly enough. We had to find urgent respite care for my father in law. The moment we walked in for a look around and were welcomed so warmly by Helen we knew it was the right place. The home is managed with love and compassion by Helen and Conor. They and the whole team are friendly, warm, caring and go out of their way to overcome obstacles and to provide individualized care. The atmosphere is calm, the decor is attractive, the food is amazing. We as a whole family were treated with immense kindness in what was a very difficult time. Our family member passed away there after a short stay. We are so grateful he was there and experienced such wonderful care. I would not hesitate to recommend this exceptional home.

Mum needed a little bit of extra care and help following a fall, and I was due to go away for a few days. I visited Merceode Lodge, and was very impressed from the moment I walked in. I decided to choose them for mums respite, and I couldn't be happier with everything they have done for her. All the staff are amazing, and can't do enough for mum at all times. The room is perfect, the so is the rest of the home. The food is always fantastic and freshly prepared at each mealtime. I would recommend to anyone.

We moved mum into the home today and I have to be honest I was really worried and anxious about it, but I really needn't of worried at all. We were made so welcome and the staff are amazing and very approachable. The whole place is immaculate. We were invited to join her for lunch as part of the settling process, which was a delight. I know she will be looked after which is a huge weight off of my mind. Thank you.

I was very lucky to be invited to the Merceode Lodge opening day because I was looking for a dementia care home for my mum. The minute I stepped through the front door I was blown away by the feel and the design, the staff and the facilities. I knew it would be the the perfect place for my mum. It was important that mum would be stimulated to help keep her mind active and the activities on offer certainly have helped. She loves the crafts, singing and making new friends. The Lodge isn't currently full but I think even when it is it will still feel calm and the staff will still have time for the residents. The food is amazing, so I have no worries that mum isn't eating properly the chef came and introduced himself in the first hour of us arriving. Merceode certainly breaks the mould of old fashioned nursing homes. Huge thank you to the team for getting my mum in residence within 2 weeks of my visit.

I cannot thank Merceode lodge enough. I have been trying for years to get the help support that my Aunt needs from professionals, she was there less than 24 hours and they already put things in place for her.
They are accommodating helpful and friendly. I hope that when I need to go into a home I can go into somewhere like this.

Thank you
