Wonderful home, very happy with staff, care home, food, facilities. Home from home for my husband. Very supportive to me and he is happy and thriving in the care he receives from Prideaux Manor care home Polegate.
Thank you for your kind review it has been a pleasure looking after your husband. I am glad you feel that the home also supports you as well as your husband.
Our mother has been a resident since November 2024, I can't fault her care she's happy & healthy. The staff are so caring & friendly. We are always made welcome whenever we visit. They celebrate all events with so much passion, which makes it a fun place to be. Mum loves to sing, there is always music playing. Which she enjoys singing along too. If I could give it a hundred stars I would.
Our Christmas party was a huge success, seeing so many families particularly made it enjoyable for the residents and our staff.
Lovely caring home, I'm pleased that my grandad is there being cared for in the best possible way. Always get offered a cup of tea. The staff are so polite, kind and helpful. I'm happy my grandad is safe and looked after well.
Thank you for your kind review I am glad that you feel the staff are kind and polite and the staff is looking after your grandad well
I can't praise this care home enough. From our first visit we were very impressed with the manager and assistant manager who were so friendly kind and professional and we felt quite at home and was sure my mum-in-law would flourish here. She's been here for 8+ months now and has settled in completely. The staff are exemplary and nothing is too much trouble for them. The whole set up is a credit to all who work there.
Thank you for your kind review, we do work hard to ensure that when people come to our home they settle well and as you say flourish. The staff work to a high standard and will always go that extra mile.
My wife has been here for 18 months and in that time has been treated with care and courtesy and kindness. I worked in adult social care from 2002-2015 and would say this house is better than those I worked in.
Thank you for your kind review I would be happy to discuss how we can improve your score and talk to you about the food and drink mark, we are always trying to improve on our services.
Great, clean home. Staff are very attentive and caring. Food is of a high standard, nice spacious garden and large communal area.
Thank you for your kind review, especially regarding the high standard of food we produce
Nothing is ever too much trouble for the staff who always help with a smile.
Thank you for your Kind review i am glad you are happy with the home and staff
Fantastic. Staff very kind and helpful.
Thank you for your kind review we are glad you are happy with the home in all areas
My wife received the very best care both day and night. Also much hard work to improve her mobility. She is happy and the staff are so kind.
Thank you for your kind review we are glad that you're happy with how your wife is doing since coming to Prideaux Manor
My wife, who is the sister of a resident, visits the care home every month to see him. We are always impressed with all the staff - always welcoming, friendly and attentive. We are always offered refreshments on arrival. The home is very secure, clean and tidy. No complaints!
Thank you for your kind review we are glad you have no complaints
My husband has been at Prideaux Manor for 15 months and we are very happy with the care that he gets. The staff are all very good and very attentive. No complaints.
Thank you for your kind review it is much appreciated
I visited a friend who is a resident at Prideaux Manor, Polegate during a summer BBQ everything was great my children and the residents all had a wonderful time the home was clean and tidy and all the staff were polite and welcoming. I was overall very happy with the home.
Thank you for your kind review I am glad you enjoyed our summer fete it was a lovely day especially as so many people came to the event
A welcoming friendly place, non judgemental and caring atmosphere. Kind staff for whom nothing is too much trouble.
Thank you for your kind review we would be happy to discuss any area of improvement with you. Please contact the seniors or management team
The care staff do a wonderful job considering my mother is "challenging". The staff are always easy to talk to and keep me updated on how my mother has been between my visits and are welcoming and caring. It is not easy to care for my mother as her dementia and Alzheimer's has got worse and she can sometimes be aggressive and refuse personal care but the staff do their utmost to do what they can. They have also tried several times to encourage my mother to get involved in events even though she prefers to stay in her room and watch TV. The manager has put several things in place to deal with the smell of urine due to my mother refusing her personal care such as an air freshener and purifier as well as deep cleaning her room when ever she goes to the hospital for which they organise a taxi and a carer for her weekly trip to the hospital for podiatry. I feel very reassured that my mother is being cared for in the best way possible as her dementia progresses.
Thank you for your honesty, every dementia resident comes with different challenges, we pride ourselves on person-centred care and look at each person as an individuals. Thank you for working with us and being so supportive
The activity leader works very hard to involve the residents in games, which can be quite a task to get Dad involved but he does enjoy it when he joins in. The special events party's are also well enjoyed with the Chef putting on a lovely spread for all.
The place is always kept spotlessly clean and Dad always looks smart in his freshly laundered clothes.
Overall we are so pleased we chose Prideaux Manor which has a nice homely family feel to it which was lacking in more of the larger plush homes we looked at.
Thank you for your kind review. I am glad you feel the home is meeting the needs of your dad. I will be in touch to see how we can improve on your score for our food. We are glad you enjoyed our last event.
Wonderful care home. Staff are amazing. The home is clean and welcoming. Residents are happy, well cared for and engaged. Rooms comfortable and homely. Lots for residents to do with great activities. Family are welcomed and nothing is too much trouble.
Thank you for your kind review, we are glad you feel we are doing a all round good job
My mother has lived in this care home since December 2023. She's always treated with respect and kindness. It is so comforting to myself and my brother to know that my mother is fully engaged and well looked after. If I have any concerns I can raise them with the staff straightaway and they will ensure they are acted upon. I am more than happy that my mother is in this home. In fact, I have recommended this home to other people who have been in a situation where they've needed to find a care home for their relative. I would highly recommend this home to anyone.
Thank you for your kind recommendation of our home, we are very grateful. We are glad that that you feel your mother is well looked after and this is a great comfort to the family.
Absolutely fantastic care home all-round. Caring, attentive staff. Clean accommodation. Well-managed and great communication. They never stop being helpful and accommodating. Nothing is too much to ask for. Really feel welcome at every visit. Very grateful and relieved that Nana got to spend her last few months here.
We have enjoyed having so many families attending our annual summer fete. This year we managed to raise over six hundred pounds for our wonderful residents. The staff always go about and beyond for everyone.
I can’t recommend the team at Prideaux Manor enough - Mum has been there since the end of February. Due to her Alzheimer’s she was understandably very unsettled with the initial change in environment, and the team have worked so hard to help her settle. They have involved myself and my dad to keep us updated and work out a plan for Mum together. The home is a lovely, clean, bright and welcoming environment. The staff are so kind and friendly and engage with the residents and treat them with respect and dignity. All of the residents look happy and well cared for. There is a lovely programme of activities and a nice sunny outdoor space for the summer months.
Thank you for your kind review. I am glad your mum has settled in well, it took a lot of perseverance from all parties to ensure a smooth transition. It also takes a great team from care staff to ancillary to make everyone feel welcome.
I cannot speak highly enough about Prideaux Manor, from the first minute my dad arrived there they made him feel welcome, nothing was ever too much for them and they made him feel at home, which was something we had worried about before he went there. It was good to see him taking part in the activities with a smile on his face!
Thank you for your kind response we loved looking after your dad her was such a character, he definitely kept us on our toes, such a cheeky chappie.

Meet the Team (2)

We took over Havelock House in May 2021 after having success with our other two homes Prideaux Lodge in Little common and Prideaux House in Eastbourne.
We felt that a nursing home would provide support for our two dementia homes when it comes to end-of-life care.
We are passionate about ensuring we provide good care and support for all our residents and their families.
We just completed our commitment award for well-being at work and are currently working on our bronze award.
I have a level 5 diploma in health and social care management, level 3 in dementia care and over 28 certificates in other relevant training

I have worked with the Prideaux Group for over 6 years working in all of the homes that we have.
We took over Prideaux Manor I 2021 so I have been spending more time here at the moment
My main role is invoicing the families and day-to-day administration work.
I like to go out onto the floor and speak to the residents and their families, I am happy to help out anywhere that is needed in the home as we work as a team when we are short
