I think its a nice, clean, well run place and all the residents seem very happy. The staff are extremely approachable and are glad to help my only concern is the ongoing problem with the lift it needs a brand new one.

Overall Experience

After having the stress of dad having to be moved to a challenging behaviour unit, I couldn't have wished for a better placement, all staff and managers have been amazing not just with dad but with our whole family, they absolutely go above and beyond and nothing is too much trouble. They have all been so helpful and caring and I can approach any of them and ask anything and have found everyone to be extremely helpful, it's such a calm happy environment, and I cannot thank the staff enough for everything they do. Desperately need a new lift putting in as soon as possible though.

After not a great experience with my mum being at another care home before this one, I was extremely worried when starting over in a new one also.
This care home literally go above and beyond for patients and relatives.
The activity's that are on everyday of the week are so well thought of and planned really well.
My mum is the most content she has been for many years and it's lovely to see her so settled.
Every member of staff here are just incredible.

Also the new family room that has just been added is lovely touch for family's with little ones.

I have always found the staff to be very helpful and supportive in trying to give the best care to my family member who has lived at the scheme since it opened.
Knowing that my family member has a team of caring people who are there for her is reassuring and enables me to have a fuller life with less worry. There are activities arranged on a regular basis and I am encouraged to go in to the building on visits.

One lady is especially kind and thoughtful.

Overall Experience
Visited my cousin which I do every so often and I am always impressed with how friendly the staff are and how well the patients are looked after. My cousin is always clean and tidy which is difficult to maintain due to his numerous needs. Last Friday 25th July the activities co coordinator introduced himself and went through all the activities. It was the obvious how passionate he is about his role and how much he cares for the patients.

I think it's amazing how even those who are in the advanced stages of dementia are still included in activities. Other care facilities could learn a lot from Swallowfields

The staff at Swallowfields have shown unwavering patience and care towards my father. They are amazing and a credit to their profession. I live far away and staff are always at the end of phone which is reassuring. They also make a good brew when I visit!

Overall Experience

My dad has resided at Swallowfield Gardens for around 3 years now and he loves it here. After experiencing previous care home settings that were not the right fit for him or his specific needs, all the staff at Swallowfield Gardens are person centred and experienced in their individual roles. He loves it here and there are loads of individual activities in house and external to suit each person. They always include families/friends with whats happening in the care home and provide regular family meetings in person and share minutes from these.

Overall Experience
My father was transferred to Swallowfields after his health deteriorated and needed full time care. Both myself and my father were initially apprehensive about the move but we were both put at ease from day one. The staff here work tirelessly to make sure the residents are well cared for and experience actives whilst celebrating special occasions throughout the year.

All residents have a key worker. My fathers key worker, was always on hand to make sure all his needs were met and if I had any questions about his care these were always addressed quickly putting my mind at ease when it was time to leave after a visit. If you have to put a family member into a residential home you should consider this one.
