My daughter Chloe has been at Berkeley for almost 3 1/2 years altogether. Over this time, she has been treated with respect and dignity. The staff who care for her each day are wonderful and I class some now as friends. They know Chloe inside out and always respect her wishes. I am so greatful for the care and love they have shown her and my mind is at rest, knowing she is safe.

I think its a nice, clean, well run place and all the residents seem very happy. The staff are extremely approachable and are glad to help my only concern is the ongoing problem with the lift it needs a brand new one.

After having the stress of dad having to be moved to a challenging behaviour unit, I couldn't have wished for a better placement, all staff and managers have been amazing not just with dad but with our whole family, they absolutely go above and beyond and nothing is too much trouble. They have all been so helpful and caring and I can approach any of them and ask anything and have found everyone to be extremely helpful, it's such a calm happy environment, and I cannot thank the staff enough for everything they do. Desperately need a new lift putting in as soon as possible though.

Also the new family room that has just been added is lovely touch for family's with little ones.

One lady is especially kind and thoughtful.

I think it's amazing how even those who are in the advanced stages of dementia are still included in activities. Other care facilities could learn a lot from Swallowfields

The staff at Swallowfields have shown unwavering patience and care towards my father. They are amazing and a credit to their profession. I live far away and staff are always at the end of phone which is reassuring. They also make a good brew when I visit!

My brother is very happy and content here, he is well looked after and has put weight on since being here, which is good as he lost quite a lot of weight.

My husband has been a service user for over 2 years during which time his dementia has worsened. The staff are very kind and caring and put up with a lot in a sensitive way. They are quick to react and sort matters quickly and quietly. He is involved with activities with the full support of staff. I feel happy he is safe and well cared for.

I visit my dad as regularly as possible and every time I visit Berkeley Village the staff are very welcoming and answer any questions in regards to my dad. They also ask if he needs anything which will improve his residency. They keep me informed of any situations which may occur during my absence which is very reassuring. I feel my dad is in a good, safe and peaceful care home which is the ultimate aim.

On my many visits to Berkeley Village, I have found the staff and management very polite and helpful, and their treatment of the residents caring and positive in sometimes very trying circumstances.

In the time since my friend was transferred from another care home, I have noticed a good improvement in her condition. The care she receives at Berkeley Village is very much appreciated. The staff appear to go out of their way to ensure she receives the best care possible.

I don't sit at home worrying if my husband is being looked after. I know 100% he has the best care I can ask for. When I walk in and he is sat with the carers and he has a beaming smile from ear to ear that tells me how happy he is too.

The overall care for mum is really good. They try to engage her in all activities. She is encouraged to try different foods and always cater for her needs. On the whole she is much more settled in Alexandra Grange and we as a family are more reassured.

From our initial meeting and viewing the home all the staff, from the manager to the cleaners, are all very professional and friendly. From what I've seen and my dad tells me its that everyone is helpful and respects his dignity and privacy. His room is pleasant and the lounge areas are good social areas. The home may need some TLC in places but this doesn't affect the care received.

My dad has resided at Swallowfield Gardens for around 3 years now and he loves it here. After experiencing previous care home settings that were not the right fit for him or his specific needs, all the staff at Swallowfield Gardens are person centred and experienced in their individual roles. He loves it here and there are loads of individual activities in house and external to suit each person. They always include families/friends with whats happening in the care home and provide regular family meetings in person and share minutes from these.

All residents have a key worker. My fathers key worker, was always on hand to make sure all his needs were met and if I had any questions about his care these were always addressed quickly putting my mind at ease when it was time to leave after a visit. If you have to put a family member into a residential home you should consider this one.

My brother has been here from 2024 and he has settled down very well and he's very well looked after. Management look's after us very well when we visit.

He enjoys living here.

Somewhat of an experience here, bad to worse. If you want to be cared for, no. Waited 30 minutes for the toilet. 19 falls in six months. The smell is terrible of wee. Cleanliness 1, managers, zero. The company is all about money. Care days out, no. Got told to obesity. Food poor.
