She is bed bound and has regular visits from staff members. She is always clean and her bedding is regularly changed.
My mother-in-law loves the food at Waterside and there is always a good choice.
It is piece of mind for the family that she is here and so well cared for.
It means a great deal to our team to know that their kindness, dedication, and compassion...
Mum has felt safe, cared for and enjoyed the care homes amenities, food and setting which is very nice!
Her room was a good size, very clean and well kept. She spent most of her time in the communal areas which she enjoyed.
Really nice care home which I and mum would recommend to everyone.
Thank you Waterside House
Thank you so much for your wonderful review. It has been a privilege to support your mum during her rehabilitation, and we are delighted to hear that she felt safe, well cared for and able to enjoy her time with us. Your kind words about our team mean a great deal and will be shared with everyone,...
Care home lovely rooms lovely
couldn't ask for a better home for my mother to be in.
Thank you so much for your lovely review. Your kind words really do mean a lot to all of us, and we're so pleased that you feel your mum is happy and well cared for here. We all have a real soft spot for her, and it's been lovely getting to know you and your family too. We'll make sure your...
Initially it was difficult to identify different grades of staff. As no display board. It was hard to identify who was management, who were senior nurses, who were housekeepers. Everyone was welcoming no matter what level they were in the home. They looked happy and appeared to be caring for the residents who were in the communal areas. I was quiet shocked that the main lift was broken for the whole of my husbands stay. I am disabled and I use a walker and it was a very long walk to the lift that was working. The general cleanliness of the home, considering how large it is, well cared for. There were plenty of break out areas. It was very warm the decor was very clean and maintained. My husbands room was rather small. It did have an en suite which certainly helped with previous incontinence. He was able to " go when he needed" which he was very pleased about. After an initial settling period he became more settled in himself. He loves the food. He was happy to socialise when he wanted.
Thank you for your feedback, it is so appreciated. We are very pleased to hear that you found the team welcoming & caring, & that your husband was able to settle, enjoy his food & socialise in a way that suited him. It's also lovely to hear your comments about the home being clean, comfortable &...
My mother has been at Waterside for 4 months and is very happy, feels safe and cared for. There is something special about Waterside, a feeling of being welcomed into a family. The open plan layout means mum can wheel her chair wherever she wants through the various light and airy lounges, seating areas and dining room, giving her a sense of independence. All the staff are friendly, kind and patient and each visit is greeted with a smile and an offer of tea and biscuits! The food is excellent, nutritious and plentiful. Mum's ensuite room is beautiful with a view over the garden and the distant water. I feel content and at peace when I leave her knowing she is safe, cared for, loved and happy. The nursing staff keep in contact with me regularly about any issues relating to her health. A difficult decision to put my mum into residential care after 11 years looking after her, has been made more bearable with the support and kindness from Waterside. Highly recommended.
Thank you so much for such a lovely review, it really means a lot to all of us. We're so pleased to hear that your mum is happy, settled and feeling safe here. That sense of being part of a family is exactly what we hope to create, so it's really special to hear you describe it that way. It also...
Waterside have created an environment that is safe, loving, bright and comforting and it's location by the sea is very special. Access to the home is 24/7 and this availability gives you as a relative massive confidence that there is nothing to hide. Waterside will live or die by it's staff, from the very top, down to the carers on each shift, there has been compiled a dedicated, empathetic team of people that complete their work with compassion and a softness that can only be applauded.
My Aunt is part of a community that provides constant stimulation and social interactions. She shares lunch with other residents in a beautiful dining room, eating freshly cooked meals sometimes to order. Her condition can make her vacant and difficult to reach, but with perseverance you can get through. The longer she has been at waterside the more frequent the occasions have become. My Aunt is safe, she has stability she is protected. Waterside has given back her dignity and quality of life.
Thank you very much for your kind and thoughtful review.
It means a great deal to our whole team to hear that your aunt feels safe, supported and part of the Waterside community. We are especially grateful for your comments about our staff, who work with compassion and dedication every day to...
Comfort are effectively managed. His end of life care couldn't be in a better place. The home is like a family.
Well led & all staff have his best interests at heart. He calls it his hotel & rightfully so. Furnishings, decor are outstanding, water views, as well as being therapeutic are beautiful. It is a safe environment with keypads to access points.

My brother-in-law loves the setting of his home by the sea. His hotel as he calls it. The Waterside setting is beautiful. Quality of furnishings, decor, and the attention to detail cleanliness. His complex needs are managed effectively and with a huge amount of compassion. People matter here including the relatives. Palliative care here is exceptional. His pain is managed effectively and his comfort is first rate. The staff are well led. They are all happy and approachable, opening and caring. They all share the same vision and purpose.
Thank you so much for your kind words about Waterside House! It's our absolute pleasure and privilege to support your wonderful brother-in-law, who we all consider to be part of the family. Being accepted and valued is the most fabulous thing and we hope that he and you know that he truly has that here.
A wonderful nursing home, perfectly laid out with wide corridors, two large comfortable lounges and a large dining room. Each residential room is adequate with a walk in toilet/wet room. A lovely patio and garden overlooking Southampton Water which was ideal during the recent warm weather. All the staff that I have encountered have been very polite, patient and very caring. From my experience I don't think that many similar places could better with the environment, and caring staff and management.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share such a thoughtful and detailed review. We're delighted to hear that you've had such a positive experience and that our home's layout, garden areas, and facilities have made a difference during your visits. It's especially rewarding to know that our...
My Mum has been at Waterside for three months now and she is settled, happy and content. It is a lovely residence and very well designed all staff are approachable, friendly and always have a smile on their faces. Nothing is too much trouble for them and there is always someone available if you need to speak to them. Oh, and the tea/coffee and biscuits offered to visitors is much appreciated.

Mum has settled well in a welcoming and friendly environment, all staff are helpful and pleasant, she loves getting her food menus and choosing what meals she would like there is a great choice. Mum loves visiting the in house hair salon to get her hair done and has also discovered the fab bath with lights and bubbles and is enjoying this a lot, like that when we visit we are always offered a hot drink and biscuits. Would highly recommend this care home.

On arriving I was made very welcome and the box of items I was carrying for my sister was quickly taken from me and taken through. I was helped with the modern system of signing in and immediately taken to my sister and we were brought refreshments. Thank you.

Thank you so much for your kind words. We're truly honoured to have cared for your dad and are grateful for your recommendation. Our team is committed to providing compassionate, high-quality care, and it means a lot to know we made a difference during such a difficult time.
My sister stays in Waterside, we have experienced care and consideration of the highest standard. Every effort is made to make residents feel at home. There room doors all feature images which reflect their past lives and interests, stimulating memory and engaging a sense of homeliness. Medical wards are appropriately minimised and monitored by the team, liaising as necessary with extended agencies. An appropriate home which for many will be there last residence.
Thank you for your kind words, it was a pleasure looking after your sister; we always try to make it feel like home from home, and hope that you, your family, and loved ones were all met with compassion and respect.Warm regardsWaterside House Team
