Waterside House Nursing Home

My brother-in-law loves the setting of his home by the sea. His hotel as he calls it. The Waterside setting is beautiful. Quality of furnishings, decor, and the attention to detail cleanliness. His complex needs are managed effectively and with a huge amount of compassion. People matter here including
the relatives. Palliative care here is exceptional. His pain is managed effectively and his comfort is first rate. The staff are well led. They are all happy and approachable, opening and caring. They all share the same vision and purpose.
Reply from Jo Aitken, Home Manager at Waterside House Nursing HomeThank you so much for your kind words about Waterside House! It's our absolute pleasure and privilege to support your wonderful brother-in-law, who we all consider to be part of the family. Being accepted and valued is the most fabulous thing and we hope that he and you know that he truly has that here.

The atmosphere at Ranvilles Nursing and residential home is warm, and friendly. The new manager and her entire team are professional, accessible, caring and always helpful. Most importantly, they make it a point of involving the families. I cannot speak highly enough of the quality of care my close
friend received. His care needs were complicated but continually assess and addressed. He referred to staff as being like a family to him and was happy there, "a home from home" were his words. I unreservedly recommend this nursing home.

I am always welcomed when I visit and kept informed about his wellbeing. He is always spoken to and encouraged to take part in activities. I am completely happy

My family and I find the have very personable, decorated like a persons home would be, allowing the resident to feel he's always lived there, dad was always planting flowers or cutting the grass so the garden in the nice weather is lovely too. The staff are kind and friendly and the meals are lovely,
snacks galore in between. There are also some activities that dad enjoys a great home.

I have been visiting my husband at Ranvilles for many years. In all this time I have found all the staff act in a professional and caring way. They treat all the residents with dignity. The staff can adapt to changing circumstances, and work as a close knit team. The residents rooms are kept clean,
tidy and redecorated when necessary. The food is adapted to individual needs and always good quality. Activities always coming up with good new ideas which suit the residents. Thank you.

A wonderful nursing home, perfectly laid out with wide corridors, two large comfortable lounges and a large dining room. Each residential room is adequate with a walk in toilet/wet room. A lovely patio and garden overlooking Southampton Water which was ideal during the recent warm weather. All the staff
that I have encountered have been very polite, patient and very caring. From my experience I don't think that many similar places could better with the environment, and caring staff and management.

Mum has settled well in a welcoming and friendly environment, all staff are helpful and pleasant, she loves getting her food menus and choosing what meals she would like there is a great choice. Mum loves visiting the in house hair salon to get her hair done and has also discovered the fab bath with
