The modern day care centre is located on the same site as Cedrus House care home. Ideal for older people who are still living at home, the club enables your loved one to make new friends, join in activities and receive high quality care in a safe, sociable setting.
Designed to help your loved one stay independent for longer, the experienced carers at The Cedrus Club delivers high quality and personalised care, as well as providing an active and fulfilling lifestyle. From gardening to baking, arts and crafts to enjoying a cup of tea and a quiz, the team work hard to get to know their members and tailor their activities to suit everyone.
Carers will also be able to have some time to themselves while knowing that their loved one is in the safe hands of the dedicated day club team.

Onsite Tours of The Cedrus ClubUsually available on Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat(between 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM)For same day appointments, please call the care home and they will advise on availability. Weekend appointments are also available with advanced notice. Care UK's Care Support Team will contact you to arrange a provisional appointment. Please select a preferred date and time to view the home, however, please be aware this will not be confirmed until they have been able to speak with you. Our Care Support Team will call you within 24hours to discuss your care needs and confirm the appointment.

My mum Maureen comes to day club now twice a week. The team are fabulous, Leanna on Tuesday has been fabulous with mum, intially just started on Tuesday but now visits 2 days inclusive of Friday. The club has been a life line for all of us involved in caring for mum. Its an absolute joy on Tuesday...
My mum Maureen comes to day club now twice a week. The team are fabulous, Leanna on Tuesday has been fabulous with mum, intially just started on Tuesday but now visits 2 days inclusive of Friday. The club has been a life line for all of us involved in caring for mum. Its an absolute joy on Tuesday and Friday to see a transformed mum, she becomes more chatty, smiles and is whitty, its a transformation we look forward to. Days out, crafts, singing and events celebrated she has loved it all. Mum loves her meals too, she looks forward to seeing Danny too. Its hard to fully write what the club has given back to Mum and us as a family. Thank you to each and everyone of you.

I can't fault Leeaana and the day club team. From the home visit, to Nan's most recent visit the process has been really simple and her experience has been amazing. Nan loves coming to day club twice a week, and the transformation in herself has been a wonderful thing to see. Nan comes home with a smile on her face and more chatty about the day. She especially enjoyed the trip to Needham Lakes and the most recent musician! Leeaana has been great through out, as Nan praises all the staff from the other carers around to the kitchen team (with a special shoutout to Danny, who she enjoys seeing each day). They always provide her with a delicious meal which she looks forward to everytime. Thank you all for you hard work and support.

My mum was made to feel instantly at home at the day club from the moment we arrived on our first taster day. Leeanna made sure mum was comfortable and went the extra mile to make mum feel like she had a new friend she could rely on. Mum's always greated with a friendly face and I can relax knowing she is in good hands. From trips out to chocolate bingo with the group, mum's always enjoying herself and usually has a piece of cake in one hand and a cup of tea in the other.

My husband was welcomed at The Cedrus House Day Centre. He was reluctant to go, but soon settled, and enjoys his day there so much. The staff are amazing, really kind, patient and caring. Always happy to see him and make him feel welcome and included in all activities. Great lunch too.

There is always a warm welcome for my husband who thoroughly enjoys his time at the Stowmarket Cedrus Day Centre. He enjoys both the activities and the company, also the meals. He is never ready to leave at the end of the day.

I take Dad, who has mixed dementia, to the Day Centre every Friday and he really enjoys it. He has attended four other social clubs and after two or three visits refused to go any more but not so with the Cedrus Centre - he loves his day there. Leanna, the Centre Manager, knows exactly how to engage each Club Member arranging activities they enjoy and can participate in.
The Centre is secure, spotlessly clean ( I checked the bathroom!), light and airy with lovely comfy chairs in the lounge area and separate dining room. Easy parking right outside and all on one level inside.

Meals and refreshments are good and a wide range of activities arranged with outside people ( entertainment) often brought in. The staff are delightful and so kind and caring.It's good value for money and gives Dad the social.contact and day out he needs. Highly, highly recommend. I challenge you to fund a better Day Care Centre!

Our mum has Alzheimer's and has been going to The Cedrus day Club on a Wednesday for just over a year now, and it's made a big difference to her week. She looks forward to it, being in company and keeping busy. She seems to really enjoy it.
The staff are so caring, they always welcome their guests warmly and are so thoughtful, they seem to remember and understand each person's little foibles and needs. They are good at planning lots of different and interesting activities for their guests from week to week.
We know that she is safe and happy for the day, she will have cups of tea and biscuits and a good lunch too. Nothing is too much trouble for them, and they seem to be very clever at encouraging people to participate as much (or as little) as they want.
The staff are so caring, they always welcome their guests warmly and are so thoughtful, they seem to remember and understand each person's little foibles and needs. They are good at planning lots of different and interesting activities for their guests from week to week.
We know that she is safe and happy for the day, she will have cups of tea and biscuits and a good lunch too. Nothing is too much trouble for them, and they seem to be very clever at encouraging people to participate as much (or as little) as they want.
And most weeks the centre manager sends me a short email just covering what she's done that day, which I share with my siblings so we all know what she's been doing and can talk to her about it to try and help her remember her day.

I have been coming to this day centre since it first opened. I look forward to coming as I am my husband's carer who has had a stroke, so I feel I need the day away from home.
The carers look after us very well and are always cheerful and have time to talk to us, which is what we all need.

My mum suffers from Dementia and has been attending Cedrus House Day Centre, 3 days a week for almost 18 months.
When we arrive we are both welcomed very warmly by the lovely staff and I feel confident and happy to leave mum in their care for the day.

When we arrive we are both welcomed very warmly by the lovely staff and I feel confident and happy to leave mum in their care for the day.
In addition to the kind, courteous and supportive staff, the day centre is an attractive, warm and safe place for mum to spend the day and I know she will be supported to socialise, encouraged to eat and drink well and take part in any activities she enjoys, including spending time with the chickens.
Every day is a challenge for mum and if having a day when she is more confused, disorientated and distressed I know staff will be unfailingly patient to ensure she has the best day she can.
When we arrive we are both welcomed very warmly by the lovely staff and I feel confident and happy to leave mum in their care for the day.
In addition to the kind, courteous and supportive staff, the day centre is an attractive, warm and safe place for mum to spend the day and I know she will be supported to socialise, encouraged to eat and drink well and take part in any activities she enjoys, including spending time with the chickens.

I started working for Care UK in 2015. Before this I worked as a dementia carer in a specialist dementia care home. My career highlight to date has been my promotion to day club manager at The Cedrus Club.
I love my working day from start to finish. It’s nice to take the time to talk to the club members and take part in various activities such as arts and crafts and baking with them.
To do my job well, you have to be very patient, have good listening skills and the imagination to come up with new ideas for interesting activities.
