Margery Girling House

My mum lived at Margery Girling House for over 5 years. What a lovely place! Individual apartments, communal activities and great care. The staff are excellent and the place is well run. We always hoped that it would be Mum's home for the rest of her life, but sadly she had to move due to declining health.

During the past year, I have had no worries about my mother being looked after by the team at Margery Girling House. The staff have been fantastic from the cleaners to the office staff and carers, they have worked as one and I can't thank them enough.

I accompanied my client to visit her son here and was mightily impressed with the whole set up. It is beautifully clean and he has a lovely room with plenty of light and air. The staff are very approachable and friendly.

Margery Girling House is an extremely good place to live. All aspects of care are well provided and the staff are all lovely people. The only thing I think could be improved is more activities during some holiday periods when there is no cover for the activity organiser.

My wife and I came to Margery Girling House July 2017 and we did not regret the move for one second. It's comfortable, organised and the services are excellent. The staff are most helpful and efficient in every way that I can think of. My gratitude is unbounded of the many ways they help me, making my bed, cooking various dishes in the microwave oven and removing rubbish, newspapers and the like, they are splendid people and so happy doing it too.

I have lived at Margery Girling for the last 9 and a half years very happily. I have been looked after very well by all the staff from the cleaners through to the managers. Someone is always ready to help - to listen and to make sure any problems are resolved.

Margery Girling is a pleasant place to live, very clean, airy and the surroundings kept tidy. I hope I have many more years here.

I am here with my wife who has dementia and since July 2014 and we are both extremely happy and satisfied with the decision to come to live here. It was the best joint decision we have ever made! We have to bed ground floor flat, with a delightful garden, which we both enjoy. The staff are always pleasant and helpful and nothing is ever too much trouble.

Overall experience is very very good. Good leadership and senior carers who attend to any queries/problems promptly, I am kept informed of any developments. Staff are caring and compassionate only one experience which was negative, this was addressed and resolved efficiently. Staff accommodate my mother's choices which is not always easy and I thank then for that. The whole setting is warm, clean and welcoming. My mother is very happy living at Margery Girling House and is very fond of the staff.
