Job summary

We are a small personal care home with 31 beds set in lovely grounds with a view of the Aire Valley supporting people with general physical needs and dementia. We have been established since 1985, we currently have an excellent relationship with external bodies and a current award of 'GOOD' by the Care Quality Commission. The management team 'understand care and practice compassion' in all aspects of care delivery and we seek a like-minded qualified nurse to join our family.

We provide a high standard of individualised care and are committed to continuous improvements to enhance our service, offering good support and development opportunities for a successful candidate.

Job role: Nurse

Working hours: Part-time or full time

Working pattern: Negotiable

Job description:

  • Provide high standards of care delivery in line with NMC guidance,
  • Safe administration of medications
  • Effective teamwork and organisational skills to ensure appropriate and timely delivery of care
  • To be able to recognise changing needs to residents and plan care appropriately

Essential requirement:

  • Valid NMC PIN
  • Valid and recognised NUrsing Qualification
  • Organisational skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Caring and empathetic nature
  • Teamwork and leadership skills

Desirable:

  • Experience in care homes
  • Experience working with people with dementia (training will be given)
  • Understanding of care plan process
  • Catheter, PEG feed and Syringe driver clinical skills
  • Wound care
  • Use of information technology - computerised care plan systems
