I can't praise the staff enough for the care they provided; it was outstanding. Whenever I visited, the staff were always friendly, always had a nice word to say and always offered a hot drink.
Thank you so much.

I visit my friend and find the staff very caring. Always friendly, they certainly do their very best to care for the patients, some of which who are difficult to deal with. A very difficult, demanding job, with little pay.
We appreciate your constructive score of 3 for our activities. We warmly invite you to...
My uncle came to live at Norwood about 6 months ago. Being an ex carer myself I was prepared for the worse. First day and week, I watch the carers with my uncle and other residents. I can honestly say, I cant fault any of the staff, from laundry to the owners. They not only look after the residents but also the visitors, never have I worked in many homes ask if Id like a cup of tea/coffee as soon as I walk in. All staff are so friendly, I want to move in!!
Thank you very much for your positive and kind words for everyone. It is very encouraging for the staff to know that their hard work is appreciated.
Norwood House nursing home is a lovely home. The carers and staff are amazing. They look after the patients so well. They are so kind and caring. My mum was in a different nursing home, moving her to Norwood House is the best desicion we made.
Thank you so much for your kind words it is a pleasure to look after your mum xxx
The thing that sets Norwood House apart is the incredible staff. The carers and nurses have been very consistent and from my experience of visiting over the past few years, there doesn't seem to be a high turnover of staff which is great - the home has a family feel. The staff know each resident well and know exactly what to do to help residents feel calm, happy and comfortable. Myself and my family are always greeted warmly by the carers when we visit and they always have smiles on their faces. My mum is always washed, dressed and comfortable and enjoys the social activities and games. Activities and events for residents and their families are varied and thoughtful. We are pleased with the recent return of the care home manager and the appointment of the team leader who has been very supportive.
Thank you for your kind words, support and incredibly generous donation towards the staff fund - it is very much appreciated and provides a great deal of motivation for the staff for all that they do for our residents. We are all here because we care, and we do. We try to provide a holistic approach for all our residents to ensure they all receive the dignity, respect and love they deserve.
Very attentive to the residents needs. In the time my brother was at Norwood House I felt I could trust him into their care. Thank you so much.
Thank you very much for your kind words. We will convey your kind words to our hard-working, passionate and caring staff. We all try our best.
I am very happy with the care my husband is receiving at Norwood. The staff are all friendly and kind, the food is good with varied choices. I would have no hesitation recommending Norwood to anyone.
Hi, thank you for your kind words for our staff who are passionate about giving care and looking after. we will pass your comments to our team. Kind regards
We have generally been really happy with Norwood. The staff are lovely and respectful. Activities are frequent and as inclusive as possible. The care is good and is adjusted for Mum's needs as they change. We are delighted in the recent return of the original manager whose oversight definitely takes standards to another level.
Hi, Thank you for your comments which we will pass on to our staff who work very hard and are passionate about care. We strive to give the best care. Kind regards.
I would recommend Norwood House to anyone looking for a place to take great care of their loved ones.
Thank you for providing a very positive review which we will pass to our staff who are passionate about care and an acknowledgement from families goes a long way.
Feeling very happy with the care given to my dad. Family always receives a warm welcome one big happy family here at Norwood House brilliant activities to keep residents active and involved in their daily lives.
Dear Susan, thank you for taking the time to fill in this review. We consider ourselves a large family here at Norwood Nursing Home. We are pleased that our dedication and commitment to care have been highlighted by you. I will pass on your kind words of appreciation to our team members.
We are so pleased to have found Norwood House having experienced a care home that was not suitable. The staff, owners and manager are really friendly and welcoming. Mum is spending time with others rather than on her own. The activities are many and varied and staff feedback when she has had a good day and been happy which makes a massive difference as we often miss these moments. Mum is clean and well cared for so while the progression of her Alzheimer's is still grim and upsetting, we now know we have done the best we can.
Thank you for taking the time out to fill in this review. We consider ourselves a large family here at Norwood Nursing Home. We are pleased that our dedication and commitment to care has been highlighted by you. I will pass on your kind words of appreciation to our team members.
I didn’t think I would ever see my my mum so happy and settled. The continual level of care is exceptional and the care home is filled with love and laughter. Staff go the extra mile routinely and residents are treated with respect. We all feel very lucky to be part of this lovely community.
Thank you for your positive feedback which we will pass to our team, it will be encouraging for them to know that they are being appreciated for their hard work which they do with great passion.
My mum is very happy here, she thinks the world of the staff who work here. The care and support they give to her is second to none. Staff treat her how they would want a member of their own family to be treated; with respect and dignity. Nothing is too much trouble, a truly wonderful happy environment. I feel she is well supported and cared for which means I don't have to worry. The decoration is not the best and could do with an update, but I'm not too worried about this as I'd rather funding be put into staffing and day to day care. Keep up the good work, I really do appreciate what you do for my mum.
Thank you very much for taking the time to leave a review! We appreciate your kind words about our staff. We know how hard they work in providing excellent care and support with respect and dignity, which is our top priority as you’ve rightly highlighted. Your feedback will be passed on to the...
Difficult to sum up, on arrival my mum settled very quickly - me I took a little longer. The staff, during my transition, were attentive and supportive but most importantly did not dismiss my concerns. Within a short space of time, I was dancing with my mum to different music. My mum was no t only allowed to be herself, but actively encouraged. I soon began to enjoy visiting and looked forward. Norwood House gave my mum the last 7 months of her life with family.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I know it was initially difficult for you. But our mission is, we understand care and practise compassion and we all work together.
Norwood worked wonders with my husband when he arrived from the hospital. He was unable to walk, but they soon had him walking and joining in with fantastic activities. He settled quickly into his new surroundings. The staff were fantastic, and the love, care and devotion they give to the residents are truly off the scale. The food was excellent, all fresh fruit and vegetables every day, cooked breakfast, same at tea the super - fantastic. In his eaten weeks, the amount of care he needed was never any trouble to any of the management and carers. No words are enough; the dignity and respect for him were there to the end. Amazing nursing home with dedicated staff. Thank you.
Thank you so much for your kind words, I will pass them on to all the team.
My husband has been quite poorly over this last month, and the staff have been amazing. They care for his needs without delay; they have respect, politeness and dignity throughout. The management keeps me up to date on a regular basis, and nothing is too much trouble for them. I would certainly recommend Norwood House to anyone looking for a nursery home.
Thank you so much for your kind words, I will pass them on to all the team.
On first arriving at Norwood House after reviewing several other nursing homes we felt comfortable with the owner and management. They were very helpful in making arrangements for our relative to be registered. The day-by-day activities were very good i.e entertainment, trips out etc. As dementia continued to get worse the care and well-being was superb, right through to the end-of-life care. We were always kept informed constantly which gives you a great peace of mind. It's so important to have places like this. A big thank you goes out to everyone at Norwood House for making the last years of our relative positive and comfortable.
Thank you very much Robert for your wonderful feedback. We try our best to give the best quality of life to our residents. It was a pleasure to have you at Norwood. I will pass on your praise to all the staff.
Unfortunately, dad passed away yesterday, 08/12/2022 but I can honestly say that during his final ten months, he has received nothing less than 5* care and compassion whilst being at Norwood House. I would, and have, recommended Norwood House to anyone looking for excellent care for their relative.
Thank you Annette for your encouraging words for our team, it goes a long way to boost their morale and helps us to keep doing and learning from feedback such as yours. We try our best to give the best quality of life to our residents.
My father was looked after with great care by all the staff at the home and we were always welcome to visit at whatever time of day. I was happy for him to stay here for his last weeks because they were able to give him a much higher standard of care and relief from pain than I could manage at home.
Excellent.
Thank you for your wonderful words, it was a pleasure to have you and your family at Norwood. Please don't be a stranger as the door is always open.
