Senior Carer

Amaya Care Homes is looking for an experienced and compassionate Senior Carer to join our team at Ty Coch Nursing Home in Cardiff.

About the Role
As a Senior Carer, you'll provide leadership and support to our care staff, ensuring residents receive care in line with best practice, company policy, and current legislative standards — always under the direction of the Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and supervision to care staff within the home
• Ensure care services are delivered to agreed standards
• Put residents at the heart of care delivery, respecting their wishes and preferences
• Promote and protect the welfare of all individuals supported by the service
• Build effective working relationships with colleagues and the wider multidisciplinary team
• Maintain and develop your skills through ongoing training and professional development

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in a care setting, ideally in a senior or supervisory capacity
• A genuine passion for delivering person-centred care
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Willingness to undertake statutory and other training as required

Hours
7 days over a 7-day period, as agreed with the Manager (shift pattern to be discussed at interview).
