Job Summary

Interim Home Manager

Location: Arbory Residential Home, Andover Down, Andover, Hampshire, SP11 6LR, for an estimated 6-month interim period, with the intention of transferring to Avebury House, 11 Canal Way, Devizes, SN10 2UB as Home Manager.

Hours: 40 hours per week

Salary: Up to £60,000 per annum, depending on experience (to be discussed at interview).

To build on our continued success, we rely on passionate and dedicated staff at every level. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, experienced and organised Interim Home Manager to lead our team at Arbory Residential Home.

As Interim Home Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management of the home, ensuring exceptional standards of care, compliance and operational performance. You'll lead and inspire your team, manage budgets, build strong relationships with residents and their families, and work closely with our senior leadership team. This role offers excellent support, ongoing professional development and the opportunity to make a real difference.

About You

To join Coate Water Care as an Interim Home Manager, you'll need to:

  • Be an experienced Registered Manager (RM).
  • Have a proven track record of successfully managing a Good or Outstanding CQC-rated care home.
  • Demonstrate excellent leadership, organisational and people management skills.
  • Be compassionate, resilient and committed to delivering outstanding person-centred care.
  • Have a forward-thinking approach with the confidence to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Be experienced in managing budgets, occupancy and overall home performance.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, colleagues and external professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the care home.
  • Manage and support all departments, including Care, Housekeeping, Maintenance and Catering teams.
  • Recruit, train, schedule and supervise staff to maintain safe staffing levels and high-quality care.
  • Develop, implement and monitor personalised care plans that meet each resident's individual needs.
  • Ensure the home remains fully compliant with all Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulations and standards.
  • Manage budgets, financial performance, resources and facility maintenance within agreed budgets.
  • Maintain effective communication with residents, relatives, staff, healthcare professionals and external agencies.
  • Promote a culture of dignity, respect, compassion and quality of life for all residents.
  • Complete administrative responsibilities, including audits, reporting, documentation and quality assurance processes.
