The home

Heartly Green is a lovely, 59 bedded purpose-built residential care home for older people and is situated in a quiet residential area of Irlam in Salford.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sort, wash, dry, fold, and iron residents' clothing and household linen.
• Label and organise residents' clothing to prevent loss or mix-ups.
• Operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and infection prevention when handling soiled laundry.
• Inspect laundry items for damage and report any issues.
• Ensure laundry rooms are kept clean, tidy, and well stocked.
• Follow health and safety procedures, including the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Work closely with housekeeping and care staff to meet residents' laundry needs.
• Treat residents with dignity, respect, and compassion at all times.
• Dispose of waste safely and report equipment faults or hazards promptly.
