Care Assistant – The White House Residential Home, Wrexham

We are currently recruiting for a Night Care Assistant and day care assistant to join our dedicated team at The White House Residential Home, located near the bus station in Wrexham. This is a fantastic opportunity for a compassionate individual who is committed to providing exceptional care for our residents.

Main Responsibilities:

• Provide personal care to residents, including assistance with washing, dressing, and toileting.
• Support residents with mobility and moving and handling.
• Assist with feeding, ensuring residents' nutritional needs are met.
• Monitor residents' health and wellbeing, reporting any changes to senior staff.
• Help with the implementation of care plans, ensuring they are followed and updated regularly.
• Promote dignity, respect, and independence for all residents.
• Support residents in social activities and encourage community involvement.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records as required.
• Work collaboratively with the rest of the care team to deliver high-quality care.

Key Requirements:

• Level 2 or 3 in Adult Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
• A trustworthy and caring individual who is willing to go the extra mile for residents.
• Knowledge of dementia care is an asset.
• Must be willing to work alternate weekends.
• You will be expected to enroll as a Social Care Worker with Social Care Wales and regularly update your training.
• DBS check required (to be paid by the applicant). A transferrable DBS would be an advantage
• Ongoing training will be provided to help you develop your career.

Shift Patterns:

• 33 hours per week, with the possibility of overtime.
