Care Assistant

Purpose of the Role:

To provide high-quality, person-centred care and support to residents, promoting dignity, independence, and wellbeing in line with Foxholes’ values and policies.
 

Key Responsibilities:

Resident Care

• Support residents with personal care, mobility, and daily living activities in a respectful and compassionate manner.
• Encourage independence, choice, and participation in meaningful activities.
• Build positive relationships with residents, relatives, and visitors.
• Observe, record, and report changes in residents’ health or behaviour to senior staff.

Teamwork & Professional Conduct 

• Work collaboratively as part of a care team to deliver consistent, high•quality support.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold residents’ privacy at all times
•  Communicate clearly with colleagues and external professionals.
• Attend meetings, supervisions, and mandatory training to support professional development.

Safety & Compliance

• Follow all health, safety, and infection control procedures.
• Contribute to safeguarding and the protection of vulnerable adults.
• Ensure the environment is clean, safe, and comfortable for residents.
• Adhere to Foxholes policies and the principles of equality, diversity, and inclusion.

Skills & Qualifications:

• NVQ Level 2 (or working towards) in Health & Social Care – Desirable
• Experience in a care or support setting – Desirable
• Good communication and record-keeping skills
• Empathy, patience, and a person-centred approach
• Basic IT literacy (Microsoft Office)
• Commitment to ongoing training and professional development
