Contract: Full Time - Perm

Hours: 37 hours per week

Salary: £32,142 per annum (£16.66 per hour weekdays & £17.66 per hour weekends)

Shift Times: 10 to 6pm - Weekdays & Alternate Weekends

Location: London Road, Bushey, WD23 2PY

We are seeking an Experienced Chef to join our welcoming team at Oakmoor Lodge Care Home in Bushey. This luxury, 72 bed state-of-the-art care home offers exceptional residential, dementia and respite care in elegant surroundings, featuring beautifully designed lounges and dining areas, a hair and beauty salon, spa room, cinema, cafe?, spacious en-suite bedrooms, and landscaped gardens, all within easy reach of Bushey’s vibrant local community

As a Sous Chef you will support the preparation of nutritious meals, Team management support and help create a welcoming dining experience that promotes residents health, wellbeing and dignity.

What You’ll Bring

  • Strong understanding of Health & Safety in the workplace
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and safe working practices
  • Willingness to complete relevant training and ongoing CPD
  • Experience in food preparation, cooking and service
  • Familiarity with hygiene standards in a professional kitchen
  • Ability to prepare homely, nutritious meals that meet a wide range of dietary needs
  • A team?focused attitude and good communication skills

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring all food safety and hygiene standards are met
  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes to a consistently high standard
  • Support and guide kitchen staff, helping to build skills and confidence
  • Manage food production processes to maintain smooth workflow and quality control
  • Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering supplies
