Job Summary

Ensure all cleaning duties are carried out to maintain highest standards of accommodation at all times.
Ensure all bathrooms and toilets are kept stocked up with toilet paper and hand towels in the dispensers provided.
Ensure bins are emptied and waste disposed of discreetly in the waste bins provided.
Ensure all allocated areas of the Home, including residents’ rooms are polished, dusted and hovered to a high standard.
Ensure beds are made and rooms left looking tidy and presentable at all times.
Ensure any soiled carpets are reported for cleaning as soon as possible.
Ensure clinical waste bags are filled before putting in the clinical waste bins.
Ensure all hazardous cleaning materials are never left unattended when being used and kept locked at all other times.
Ensure all electrical equipment is used safely and with great care and any defects are reported to the Manager.
Ensure all steps are taken to minimise cross infection by using the correct cleaning materials and equipment.
Ensure lids are kept closed on all bins.
Comply with all cleaning schedules as provided and keep records of all cleaning activities as required.
Report any repairs or maintenance matters to the Manager.
Assist with laundry duties as required.
