Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN) – Nursing Home | Dementia & Complex Care | Flexible Shifts Available

We’re looking for an experienced Registered Nurse with Nursing Home experience, excellent clinical decision?making, and the confidence to lead teams while delivering outstanding care to residents with dementia, complex needs and long?term conditions.

Flexible hours are available, and our nursing shifts usually follow a rolling pattern across 7 days, including alternate weekends.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Medication administration, documentation and care planning
  • Leading shifts as Nurse in Charge, ensuring safe staffing and smooth operations
  • Providing physical, emotional and spiritual support to residents
  • Maintaining high standards of safeguarding, infection control and clinical governance
  • Liaising with GPs, external professionals and multi?disciplinary teams
  • Preparing MDT reports to support positive outcomes and coordinated care for residents
  • Mentoring and supporting junior members of the team to develop skills, confidence and safe practice
  • Supporting residents with complex needs, including dementia, cognitive decline and long?term conditions

Essential clinical skills:

We’re looking for a Registered Nurse who feels confident delivering safe, person?centred clinical care in a Nursing Home setting. You don’t need to be an expert in everything, but you should feel comfortable with the following tasks or be willing to learn with our support:

  • Using syringe drivers to give continuous medication safely and knowing when to escalate concerns
  • Carrying out catheterisation and providing ongoing catheter care
  • Taking blood samples and understanding how they support residents’ health needs
  • Supporting residents with PEG feeding, including caring for the site and monitoring nutrition
  • Providing stoma care and helping residents feel comfortable and confident
  • Administering medication safely, accurately and in line with policy
  • Using the PCS system to record care, update plans and complete assessments
  • Understanding the Mental Capacity Act and DoLS, and knowing how to support residents to make choices wherever possible
  • Contributing to person?centred care plans and working with the wider team to make sure each resident’s needs are met
  • Preparing clear, accurate MDT documentation to support clinical decision?making
  • Providing guidance, mentorship and support to junior colleagues as part of a positive learning culture

Whether you’re newly qualified or highly experienced, we’ll support your growth with tailored training and development.

You’ll need:

  • A Nursing qualification recognised by the UK NMC
  • A valid NMC PIN (RGN, RMN or RNLD)

  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as supporting residents with mobility
