Night Carer -Fixed Term Contract

We’re looking for a Night Carer Assistant to join our friendly team at Bernhard Baron Care Home, Polegate.

Night Carer Assistant duties: 

• Support Residents with daily living tasks while encouraging independence and individuality.

• Offer support and care throughout the night according to need.

• Assist Residents with personal hygiene and grooming when required e.g. getting up and getting ready for bed, washing, dressing/undressing/toileting, catheter care.

• Give “Total Care” and carry out duties as instructed by Senior Staff or members of the Primary Health Care Team (GPs and Nurses).

• Make and change beds to maintain a comfortable environment.

• Record progress and changes in the Residents’ care plans and give a comprehensive handover to senior staff.

• Offer refreshments to Residents, families, and visitors.

Expected hours: 35 hours per week – Tuesday, Wednesday, Sunday and every other Saturday night (9pm -7am)
